But if you want the short version, I do not trust their front office. They are incapable of managing appointments correctly and information. Their computer system always has a tendency to go down. Also, they confirmed my SOCIAL SECURITY info by reading it to me WITHOUT asking me to confirming the last 4 digits. Medical offices need to ask the patient for the last four confirm. NOT read it out on the phone!!! Very unprofessional and very risky for identity theft!!! Anyways, I originally made an appointment to see Dr. Ring. Went through all the steps on the phone to provide background info, insurance, etc in order to get the appointment. Great! A few days later, I received a packet in the mail to fill out. Awesome! This should save me time the day of the appointment. The day after that, I get a call the front desk receptionist saying that my ORIGINAL appointment date is no longer available, however, I could come at a NEW date to see the other doctor. That's fine. The next day, I get a call AGAIN from the same front desk receptionist saying "something" had happened to their computer system and they needed to get all my info again. This was odd. But, ok. I spend another 30 minutes providing the SAME information again. Then she said that my appointment was for the ORIGINAL date. And, I said that she just called me yesterday to change my appointment to the NEW date. Oh, on top of that, she asked if I was on "Medicare." I had gone through all my information, so I'm not sure where she got that fact from. The week of my appointment, I get yet again ANOTHER call from the same front desk receptionist. This time, she needed to confirm my Social Security number, so she read it to me. No medical professional does that over the phone. On top of that, she asked if my appointment was to come in for a circumcision. Seriously, WTF. I don't know how that even got into their system. At this point, I said forget it. Cancel my appointment, you don't need my information (as the computer system seems to go down often and you read out my info freely on the phone instead of asking for confirmation) and if I do see the doctor, I may not even get the service that I needed. DO NOT GO HERE AND DO NOT PROVIDE PERSONAL INFORMATION.

If he asks you to come in for a procedure and you didn't do it within a month, well be prepared to go for a follow-up visit first before you can schedule your procedure. Clearly the multiple forced visits are a way to register more billing from the patients. I wouldn't recommend this doctor to anyone. I wish there was a 0-star or negative rating because I really don't find him worthy of even 1 star!

My husband and I have been with Dr. Yatrakis for 24 years. On a Saturday visit to his office in 1997 my husband went to Dr. Yatrakis for a "hardened testicle" Dr. Yatrikis got on the phone with a urologist and he immediately saw him that day. I was home hosting my daughters 2nd birthday and had a 9 month old boy as well. My father had accompanied him to the visit just to get out of the house. As they drove to the appointment at Overlook hospital, they discussed that Dr. Yatrakis told him, "Tom, I think this is testicular cancer and I want you to be seen today and have this taken out immediately" The urologist concurred and the surgery was scheduled for that Monday. It was in fact a malignant growth. Thankfully it was encapsulated and after several rounds of radiation he recovered without any re-occurence. Over the years we moved in and out of the state as we were corporately relocated for my husband's job. Every time we came back to NJ we went back to Dr. Yatrakis as our primary as well as other physicians who are a part of the SMG network. I work in healthcare and understand the value in seeing doctors who are a part of a network. This enables all of your doctors to see what is going on with their patients regardless of whether or not it is their specialty. That helps to manage your healthcare and overall well being. I pray that Dr. Yatrakis is not thinking of retiring because I will miss having a doctor who knows my history, and me as a person. I do not like YELP reviews for medical professions because it is really geared more toward for the food industry. People today want the ease of going to a doctor and getting what they "want" not what they "need" and when there are issues there is no one else to blame. In this climate of "kindness and respect of one another" please look in the mirror and ask yourself if your reviews are constructive or destructive.

The receptionist said he was running on time and that once my paperwork was filled out there should be problem waiting. Fast forward to 4pm when I haven't even been greeted yet and then at 405 when I was handed my paperwork. I asked the same receptionist I spoke to on the phone (that told me the dr was running on time) how many people were ahead of me and she said there were still THREE people ahead of me at 4:05 pm when my appointment was for 330. In my experience that's at least another 45 minutes minimum and probably well over an hour to wait on top of the 30 min that had already elapsed. So I would like to thank this office for wasting my afternoon and forcing me to alter my schedule while they couldn't even give my the courtesy of telling me they were running behind.
