I recently received a letter demanding payment from them. First red flag is they didn't actually send it to my house; they sent it to my parents. Second was when I looked up the supposed company I "owed" and found it's only found in Knoxville, TN. I live no where near Knoxville, literally over 1,000 miles away, and have never been to Knoxville. If Southeastern Emergency Physicians charged my insurance, then it was fraudulent, as I have never been to their location or anywhere near it. The third proof that Wakefield is a scam company is the fact that their website attempts to install malware in the form of a browser add on. Any attempt to use the online chat directs to this malware. No legitimate company requires the installation of a browser add on; it's malware! DO NOT INSTALL ANY ADD ON FROM WAKEFIELD. Going further, there is no actual Southeastern Emergency Physicians LLC; the address I found is for Team Health; an actual company, though Wakefield has set up a different phone number and a website in case someone got suspicious. I thought the company name was suspect when I couldn't find it on Yelp. 100% of collection notices from Wakefield are fraudulent.

You have to jump through multiple hoops just to see how much money you have in there. Furthermore, they shut down my card once and said it had been compromised. It was never once used. Nobody had used the card at all. They claimed the debit card number was "found online" so they canceled the card and I couldn't buy stuff from the grocery store. Had to go through a big hassle getting that fixed too. I had to set up this account with a broker about 2 years ago so I could trade stocks. Boy, that was a hassle upon a hassle. I had to call numerous times to get it sorted out. I also had to go back and get previous years transaction records and they charged me like $15 for them. Finally, my partner opened an account with them and they refused to give us a debit card. We're going to try again and see if they'll give us a debit card now. If not, we're taking our money elsewhere or stick it in the jar at home. They're always nice inside but their policies are not convenient. Too many inconveniences. I understand that they're trying to help but it doesn't.
