Containment Haunted House - The entrance - Haunted Houses Near Me - Lithia Springs, Georgia

My mother and I went to Containment Haunted House this past Saturday, October 2, 2021. As much as I would like to give this haunted house a good score, I unfortunately and realistically cannot. Ideally, it gets a 3.5/10. I'll explain more in detail below. Overall, Containment Haunted House was, okay. It's about average as far as haunted houses go, but generally enjoyable. I am an ex haunted house employee who use to work for both Netherworld Haunted House and Creepers Haunted House. The Issues: 1) Containment Haunted House is difficult to find without a GPS. There is no signage along the highway or main road guiding you to the entrance. Additionally, please note that parking IS NOT FREE and will be an additional $5.00, so please plan accordingly. 2) There was only one (1) haunt when most modern haunted houses have 2-3 haunt experiences for the same price. This equates to poor value. 3) We arrived shortly after opening at 08:15 PM and had purchased tickets in advance online. When we finally left the haunted house, it was 10:30 PM. This was due to poor show and poor line management along with pacing issues as it wasn't necessarily crowded and it was still early in the season. Plan to be here a while. 4) The exterior of the haunted house lacked food and refreshment vendors, line actors, and appropriate interactive theming and props. This lead to an incredibly long and boring hour wait in the external que. The only saving grace was the loud music which provided some entertainment. Most of the people in the que were on their phones, myself included. However, what made it worse was the lack of sitting options. You basically had to stand idle the entire time, which is not good for individuals who are handicapped or who have back or knee problems. (The one pink clown was friendly and cool). 5) Warning: the interior of the haunted house building is extremely hot and humid! I would not recommend going to this haunted house if you're susceptible to the heat or if you have breathing difficulties. You. Will. Sweat. It was definitely warmer inside than out. 6) The theming and overall story of Containment Haunted House just wasn't really there and lacked consistency throughout. The introductory story of demonic pumpkins gone awry in the underworld quickly left your mind as you progressed through the haunt. Unfortunately, it wasn't scary. Usually, when I go through a haunted house, there will be at least one or two jump scares that will startle me and one actor/actress that actually scares me and I always give them a thumbs up and say great job! However, that wasn't the case here. No, I found myself getting a bit bored and I couldn't help jumping at the chance to scare the line guests in front of us and playing along with the haunt actors. I couldn't tell if they were just new or a little off their game, but it left me a bit disappointed. The pre-show interactive demon bit was excellent though! I didn't realize it was a live person interacting with guests at first. 7) The layout of the interior building was confusing without many clearly marked indicators for where guests need to go. I watched a couple of guests accidentally go through a boo hole or down the wrong way. And a group that went in before us somehow accidentally wound up behind us even though we never passed each other in the haunted house. All in all, Containment Haunted House was an...okay experience. Maybe a one and done kind of thing. I can't say that I'll be back or will be recommending it to friends or family, but I'm glad I experienced it at least once. read more

Containment is an incredible story based haunted attraction that uniquely blends immersive theatre and traditional jump scares into a fun, heart pounding experience. My husband and I were grouped with a pair of teenage brothers that were especially jumpy. (I will admit their energy added to the fun.) The opening interaction with the large creature was creepy fun. Soon after Helga explained more of the story in her own interesting way as well as asked our fears. I loved this moment because not only was the actress wonderful, but it put us into a specific mental state focusing on our real fears, whether or not we'd experience them inside. I also think it set us up to be more affected by the shadow that almost seemed to be lurking everywhere. The creators at Containment appear to have a deep passion for the art of the haunt. They understand how to effectively scare people of all ages. They have some of the strongest performers I've seen and I applaud them. read more

So this is one of my personal favorite haunted houses. It's typically not as crowded as bigger places like netherworld. Both years I've gone I've had no wait. They take your photo at the start and at the end you can buy it for $10. The price is honestly a little expensive for the length. I wish this one was longer. It seems to go by quite quickly. There is only one house for the attraction. I enjoy this house a little more than some of the others because it's a little more interactive and show-esque. Sometimes you talk to the actors and engage with them as opposed to being rushed through the house. Last year they took our group of four and separated us into two for a brief hallway and then let us rejoin. They normally have fresh ideas and change up their scenes. I wish it was a little cheaper or a little longer for the money but I really enjoy this place! read more

Went here last night with a group of 7. I did not follow the story at all, mostly because my girlfriend had my hands in a vice grip as she was jumping at nearly every turn, this really added to the fun of the house. Several rooms were done superbly well, my favorite was the coat room, and the end. We did not wait in line long at all, and they did a really good job at spacing groups out, whereas with Netherworld, we could see the group ahead of us at all times. Not here! Great job yall. This place is highly overrated. Save your coins and take them to Netherworld. It took over two hours in line and it wasn't even a lot of people waiting. Once in the characters were stopping and telling horrible stories to fill in the time. Very subpar. Only lasted 15 minutes! Also very unsanitary and no Covid safety. Would not recommend! read more

This haunted house is the best thing I've seen so far. I'd love to give it 5 starts, but with the wait being so long I feel as if there should have been scare tactics during the wait to keep us entertained . Don't want to ruin the surprise but my mom lost it at the end and ran all the way to the car!! we will definitely will go back!! read more

Number two on the 2018 haunt tour is Containment. First off great name and after seeing the haunt I appreciate the pun. The set design is well done and there's a lot of variation throughout the haunt. As far as I can tell there isn't any rhyme or reason to the room styles but it's enjoyable either way. There's a couple of disorienting sections of the house that are pretty creepy. There's a mix of inside and outside with this house so at times you will be on uneven dirt or wood chips ( hard to tell in the dark) so keep that in mind. The ticket price is the cheapest at $18 so that's a bonus. There's a few animatronics scattered throughout the haunt but containment relays more on actors. All of which were at the top of there game. The one negative is that there may be too many of them. It felt like we were slowed down a bit by the actors, but it could also have been that our group couldn't figure out when to move on ( we were stuck with a bunch of randos). We are the kind of people who like to take our time through a haunt and soak it in. But avoid that roadblocked feeling Lastly. I hate the chainsaw gag. It's cheap and played out.........but anyone else thinking about doing it should take a note from containment. These guys have figured out how to bring a poop your pants flair to a tired routine. If it wasn't for the long line I would of gave 5 stars. I've been to a few haunted houses this wasn't bad. I probably should have payed the extra 10 dollars to skip line we literally was in line for at least 1 1/2 lol. Loud rock music playing outside . I wish I could give it 0 stars. It was not enjoyable at all. The line you wait in is exactly how you'll be going through the haunted house. They let 8 people in at a time every 30seconds-1min. Some scenes in the haunted house had no people there to scare you so you were walking through only light effects and sound effects. Not to mention as I was leaving there were at least 3+ cars with their hazard lights blinking. Security nowhere to be find. Please do not waste your money! There are no refunds! read more

AMAZING. I've been to many Georgia haunted houses and out of state and this is by far the best one. They know what makes a haunted house scary. Minimal groups go through so everyone doesn't "see it comin". Lots of special effects! Amazing creepy actors! This is my favorite haunted house in town. There are a lot of actors instead of animatronics like most other places. The design was good and the actors were better. They played on a lot of different fears, so I think anyone will find something that scares them here. Just wait until the last scene. It's really great! read more
