While my experiences with the massage therapist were good, I had to miss 3 appointments due to ill health and now I am being removed from continuing to utilize their service. This is totally wrong! How does one know when/ if there is a medical issue resulting in you having to cancel/reschedule. If you have a staffing issue, don't place blame on clients with extensive health issues! My daughter got her eyebrows waxed and cleaned up. The young lady almost dropped wax in her eye and completely messed up her brow. She took half the brow off and the other one is still full. it's HORRIBLE. NEVER going to bring my 16yo here again. I tried to call and talk to the owner and even left a message on her site trying to remedy the situation. Never got a message or call back. My daughters apt was on the 4/8 and have not heard anything. She didn't want Thin brows, she just wanted them cleaned up and follow the shape she had. I started coming here to get eyelash extensions again. So far I've been here four times in a month for a fill. The eyelash extensions doesn't last even for a week. Tried different lash technicians but they still fall really fast. I've noticed that not enough glue is being used. It's really disappointing because I was taking good care of my lashes and they would still fall. Each fill is $55 and going every week instead every two weeks won't work for me. I recently had a spa day at Continental Spa and I was really impressed with the facilities and services. I wasn't sure what to expect since it didn't look too grand from the outside, but the reviews were good and the prices were right, so I booked an appointment anyway. The inside is nicely decorated, but most importantly, it was very clean. I booked an appointment for a brazilian wax, dermaplaning, and a face peel. I was really nervous about the brazilian since it was my first one ever, but the esthetician, Monica, really put me at ease. I have a very low tolerance for pain, but it really wasn't that bad. The fear/anxiety about it in the waiting room was worse than the actual waxing. Monica was a total professional and was easy to talk to. After the dermaplaning, Monica suggested a different peel since my skin would've been too sensitive for anything too harsh. I appreciated that she had my best interest in mind and I really liked the peel she suggested. The waxing and facial turned out great and I will definitely be back for another spa day soon! The moment you walk in the door you feel calmed. The design alone was calming to the eyes and then you meet the staff, and you are calmed even more. I was looking for a place to get a massage and a friend recommended Continental Spa to me. Now I see why. Professional, delightful, and they really know they're massages. I got the Swedish massage, which is exactly what I needed. Though it was only an hour long, I pretty much became a new person as a result of such a great massage. Having had many massages in my life, I can truly say that this is one of the best I've ever had. I got a massage at this facility and the room was so hot I almost passed out. There were no AC ducts to the room. Also, I recently joined as a monthly member to take group classes. I haven't even been a member for a month and I got an email this morning that effective today they are canceling all classes. The owner was standing right there when I signed up. I wonder how poorly managed this place is if she didn't have any idea she might be closing in 2 weeks. Front desk staff struggled with their software when I signed up. The yoga classes I took were supposed to be for beginners, I'm a beginner and couldn't do the moves. Sometimes even experienced participants were struggling. A 60 minute massage is $90. That's more expensive than other places in town. Lots of bad signs with this business. read more

I felt that that the technicians didn't take my skin concerns serious. Last time I went a couple of weeks ago, a woman named Irene left some of the face mask on my skin. This is just unacceptable.. I wish I could give more than 5 stars to aesthetician Chayo, she is the best! Today was my first visit to Continental Spa for a bikini wax and I was thoroughly impressed with Chayo. Not only is she very attentive to detail/meticulous, but her technique is so good that I didn't experience the usual discomfort and brief pain that comes with a bikini wax! I wound up adding an eyebrow wax and lip wax to my appointment because she is THAT good and because she made me feel completely at ease. She worked on my shoulder and upper back and I walked out feeling so relaxed and pain free....I could hardly believe it after months of babying my arm and taking Advil etc. It's been 3 days and my shoulder feels fabulous! I recently moved to Tucson from Seattle and have been getting spa services for over 20 years. I have gone to some of the top salons in DC, NYC and Seattle with all my moves throughout the years. Continental Spa although located in a small town, Green Valley is top notch!! The Spa is clean, simple and the staff is very nice! I highly recommend the Ashiatsu massage with Jennifer. Its like a deeper than deep tissue massage but smoother longer strokes done with the feet. Sounds weird but really good, and you cant really tell its her feet it just feels like deep pressure strokes.
