Biannis the leasing consultant was so patient with me, I was very indecisive with which unit I wanted. My driver's license was in renewal, so I submitted the temporary license issued by the DMV. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Ashley, the representative handling my case, canceled my application immediately, claiming I said I had "no other ID options", something I never said.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]At no point was I told that a temporary license wouldn't be accepted.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] If I had been given a chance, I could have provided my valid passport the same day. Instead of giving me that chance, they threw out my application after taking my fee. I asked for a waiver since I already paid the application fee and she rejected it. Uncleaned windows ( that effort got cancelled 3 times in 2 years). Flooding in the rooftop...unavailable indefinitely. Yoga room fob acces non-functional, somehow they can't fix a lock...unavailable for weeks. Management outsource everything to the concierge staff, but they're a vendor company so incapable and unaware of how to handle anything. All they do is sort packages...and therefore generally miserable and turnover is high. The parking which is also an independent company have inadequate facilities, pigeon droppings all over your car, and careless handling of vehicles (they broke my windshield while parking). We went to go see The Continuum and Michael, the leasing agent, didn't have our appointment on the books, which we didn't think much of at the time, but in hindsight was telling. We toured the apartments and actually found one we really liked. When we emailed the next day to ask about applying, no one responded. Over the next week, I emailed Michael multiple times and left a few voicemails and never heard back from them. During that week, we decided to look up reviews for the building. We hadn't paid much attention to apartment building reviews before because we felt like most people who wrote reviews would probably be complaining and trying to get management's attention (which I guess I am guilty of now). However, when the reviews are consistently negative and all have the same complaints, you have to wonder whether there is something to them. It has now been 2 weeks and we have not heard anything from them, not that we would still want to live there anyway. So while we do not live in The Continuum, I frankly am not sure how one would go about living here since management is so bad they won't even respond when you are trying to give them money. When we toured other buildings in White Plains and talked to some other people, a lot of them said "whatever you do, don't live in The Continuum." Maintenance requests often go weeks/months unattended and noone takes accountability for anything. On various occasions there have been outsiders in street clothing hanging out in the gym not exercising DESTROYING equipment intentionally and when brought to the attention of our front desk staff they say there is nothing they can do about it. There are "rules" in place frequently sent out in emails threatening fines to those who break them but in reality the building is a complete free for all, anyone and everyone is welcome to come in and use anything the want, our pool is a public swimming pool and just about everything is broken throughout the building, its truly upsetting seeing such a beautiful building with soo much potential fall apart more and more each day, i really hope change comes soon as myself and many other tenants are growing sick and tired of paying so much money for low level maintenance, useless front desk staff, amenities used more by non residents than tenants and minimal accountability for anything. read more

I'm giving this update one star only because zero isn't an option. DO NOT waste your time and money at this complex. In 30 years of leasing apartments, I've never encountered one that is operated so incompetently. I waited seven days to receive any response to my original application, at which point I received a vague voicemail promising a callback that never came. My phone calls to this business (four over a four-day period) were NEVER answered. (How do you lease apartments without answering phone calls?) When I emailed after nearly two weeks, I received a phone call telling me that my original application was canceled because the complex only holds them for 42 hours. That's a little less than two days. At that rate, the application was canceled before the complex ever looked at it or contacted me. (I was invited to reapply -- and presumably pay another application fee, however). Pathetic! read more

This building never ceases to amaze me. For such a large building, Why is there never anybody on site?? At this point this building feels like a safety hazard. In the case of an emergency really who would be there to help you. If I have any simple questions about amenities, parking, really anything having to do with this building nobody is there to help. Not to mention if I ever try to call down to the front desk nobody ever respond to phone calls. I'm truly sick of this poor communication. Management should really communicate basic policies/information to the people at the front desk as these are they really the only individuals that are here to help in any capacity. As you know, there is no good street parking on that area, so I really didn't have any other chance. Second, as a new resident candidate, especially physically being at your leasing office, your managers just kindly let me know to take my car away, instead of calling tolling company. By the way, I called your leasing offic/ concierge multiple times, but no response unfortunatelly. I recently moved in with my fiance, and we absolutely love it! We moved in the middle of the pandemic, not ideal! However, Biannis gave us a virtual tour of studio, and provided us with all the information we needed. She made the process to apply very easy. We moved in soon after and so far love, love, love our building. Any question/concern Biannis has been right there to quickly solve. Her customer service skills are impeccable. It's evident she truly cares about her residents, and building. It makes living here feel like a supportive community. Building Pros: 1. Very secure, safe building. You have to scan your key to get into the building, and security monitors are actively watched by the front desk. 2. Parking Valet is amazing! It's probably my fiance's very part about the building. He leaves to work very early so he has a scheduled time on when his car is ready. All you have to do is text by when you need your car, and the valet service will have it ready for you to go! Very convenient, and hassle free. 3. Walking distance from Target, movie theatre, CVS, restaurants, and the Amtrak! This location is very commuter friendly. 4. Maintenance is very available. All residents have access to a building mobile app, and there we could do service requests. I had an issue with my washer, within 15 minutes someone was up here to quickly fix it. 5. Very quiet building! Meaning the walls must be super thick! We live across the way from a family, with a newborn and we NEVER hear the baby cry! We only know a baby lives there cause we've come across the family in the hallway. Never felt the need to right a bad review... The apartment is nice but the PARKING IS A NIGHTMARE! $175 a month and your car is never readily available. They put your car up on a 3 tier lift but call it valet. You have to text to request your car and sometimes that doesn't even work. Many tenants are extremely angry waiting for their car because they have to go to work. Visitors had to pay for parking but now there is a new sign that says no visitors at all. What if I want to have people over?? Why did they think this was going to work?? My car like many cars has been damaged and they refuse to pay. By far the most disappointing place to live in White Plains. After issues with guests causing the pool to close early last year, building management didn't have the foresight to hire a lifeguard on time this year leading to the pool not opening by the advertised time this year. Ive lived in this building 3 years and somehow management keeps getting worse. I love my apartment and hate moving but honestly things are getting absurd. Every-time there is an issue that you bring to their attention, they choose to turn their cheek or point the finger and blame someone else. Instead of admitting there's a problem and asking what they can do to make the situation better, they argue with you and differ to other things that don't have anything to do with the point you're raising. Again, this is the lucky alternative to not getting a response. The parking situation is worse than any nightmare you can imagine. Both towers are using one parking garage which is a huge fire hazard. You pay either $200 or $300/month for a spot that is already taken by someone else. When you ask the parking manager, where you should park he tells you "tough luck, there are none" and then blames management for over the over flow of tenants. Not to mention they don't care about their current tenants, only focused on filling units that were emptied by unhappy people. Slid $60/month fees during the height of a pandemic to "supply fresh flowers in the lobby and dog treats." Not sure what planet management lives on and if COVID exists there but def not the right time to raise prices. Most buildings were offering Discounts and credits for amenities not being used during the 8 month medical emergency...not the good old continuum. I lived here for a year and a half. It was okay before the new tower came in. It became chaos after that. Amenities barely working, maintenance not responding even to emergency requests for days, parking more of a nightmare. My own parents (who were paying the rent and named in my lease) couldn't even park in the garage since they were considered "visitors" and the building had the nerve to raise my rent $500 upon my new lease (was paying $2000 and wanted $2500). My fiancé and I have lived in the Continuum Building for one year and we absolutely love living this luxury building. All of the staff that work here truly make a difference. When we first moved here Jan 2020 we met Anthony, Johnny and Dorian. These guys are amazing. They have extraordinary work ethics and no matter how challenging the job is...they get the job done and go above and beyond the call of duty. We had an electrical problem inside the apartment a few months ago and the Supervisor, Dorian resolved the issue immediately. Biannis, the Leasing Manager is also fantastic. She's warm, friendly, professional and you can count on her to get issues resolved in a timely manner. During the pandemic we've been shopping a lot online and you can guarantee to always get your packages in a timely manner. The front desk concierge staff are phenomenal! They are always friendly, professional and are doing a wonderful job managing and handling all the packages of all the residents in the building. The valet parking services the building offers is also phenomenal. It costs $175 per month and it's totally worth it. The valet parking staff especially Copper, are so awesome and I give them kudos for doing such a great job in managing a massive parking garage. Texting the # to receive you vehicle when you need it works super well. It's a very effective and efficient system. I order my car for 7:40am every morning to go to work and when I arrive down to the parking garage to pick it up it usually arrives on time with few exceptions of receiving it late. Also LCOR the Management Company has an app that you can download on your smart phone to manage packages, maintenance request orders, add guests, make authorized entrances, and make reservations. It's a very user friendly app. Overall, this building is a 10 + and the people that work here are awesome and amazing. If your considering to move in to the Continuum building in White Plains, do not hesitate to do so. I highly recommend this luxury building read more

Overall, this building is pretty decent. It's brand new, has great amenities (when they are working), and has upgraded management as well. The walls are super thin and I can hear EVERYTHING from both above and to the side of me. With how much we pay to live here, this shouldn't be an issue. The people in management have significantly improved but they are still pretty terrible at returning phone calls or addressing issues that are brought to their attention. In the summer, we have the ability to use the pool, but at the discretion of when management says we can. Last year they basically only had the pool open for the month and not every day because they don't let tenants sit by the pool without a lifeguard. Personally feel this is ridiculous. We pay a lot of money for amenities and we can't even use half of them. For example the golf simulator works maybe 60% of the time which also isn't great. Another HUGE issue is the parking. It turned out to be every worst nightmare and more. The community basically doesn't want anyone to have any social life at all because tenants must have their visitors pay to visit them! That's insane! Tenants living in this building pay almost $200 to park their car monthly and we don't even get a visitor pass! THIS IS RIDICULOUS. Our visitors shouldn't have to pay for parking. Especially in white plains. Come on people, this isn't NYC. Speaking of parking. TERRIBLE. If yelp could let me give zero stars I would. But I'm also ranking the community. Honestly, the parking brings down the star rating significantly. This company is TERRIBLE. Honestly deserves a negative star rating. The valet drivers are awful, inconsiderate, and extremely rude. This building requires the tenants to allow SP plus to park their cars. Tenants have had their cars dropped off the lifts, have gotten the cars stuck on the lifts so that people can't use their car, dented cars, scratched cars, etc. For me personally, I have to text down to SP when I need my car, and it is NEVER there. NEVER NEVER NEVER. This is a HUGE issue especially when people need to get to work. Recently I have been texting that I want my car right now at least an hour before I need it. Guess what? Still not there. The valet guys are lazy, play on their phone, ignore the notifications and just don't do their jobs. They have even left a huge booger in my car which was DISGUSTING!!! WEED DRUG PARTY APARTMENTS. For the past four months, there has been weed and tobacco smoke infiltrating my apartment through the vent from another apartment downstairs. During the past two weeks, that apartment has been smoking day and night, I couldn't even stay in my own apartment for one night because the smell was so strong it deeply affected my health and I had to run to the ER because of it. The doctor was even surprised at how toxic my bloodwork was even though I was not the one smoking directly but worse, since I was inhaling all the secondhand weed and tobacco smoke. Thus, I had to sleep at the building's lounge to avoid the smell at midnight... When I reached out to the leasing office, they told me that they can not inform the weed smoker to stop smoking, or even ask what is the reason he/she is smoking, let alone evict him/her because him/her might be smoking due to medical reasons... Despite the building's property engineers and the front desks' employees confirming how bad the situation in my apartment was at 2:00am as well as multiple residents at the same floor of the weed smoker complaining, the owners of the building said they can not simply warn the weed smoker. So I said if there's nothing they could do, can I at least relocate to another apartment in a different vent system and keep my same rent price because I was not the one who broke the non-smoking policy, but I'm paying for all the consequences: my time, my money, my health. They said no, because I had no "specific reason" for the relocation despite with my doctor's note... If you're one looking for apartments and more importantly with children, I would avoid here at all costs genuinely, because the owners here only cares about money and not your health. read more

After our tour, we were told that we would be updated when new apartments open up for leasing. Later, we received absolutely no information about the apartments we toured in our email and no news even after following up many times (over emails, phone calls, and even another visit), except canned emails asking us to schedule a tour (which is ridiculous and shows their lack of interest). Honestly, this building is decent for what you pay for, and thats being very generous. I've lived here for about 2 1/2 years now and everything has gotten progressively worse. Whether it's the poor management , as they usually don't get back to you in a timely manner on your issues, requests, questions. Additional fees of trash ($10/month) & Admin Fee of ($50/month), which they just implement earlier this year for whatever reason. Or the amenities being broken half the time, such as the golf simulator and the fire pit on the roof (hasn't worked my entire 2 1/2 years here. The pool also opened about a month late last year (2019) because management didn't properly prepare themselves for approvals from the county. And I know this year COVID has delayed openings with the pool, which I totally understand, but now that it opened last weekend (July 18), we're only allowed to use it Saturday and Sunday, because they care more about getting the new apartments up, so construction has taken precedence over actual tenants. Oh, and the grass next to the pool is completely dead. Haven't maintained it whatsoever. I'll follow up with a picture of that. The walls are also pretty thin and can hear your neighbors pretty easily. So good luck with quiet neighbors, or else you'll go crazy. And now to the Parking ($175/month). Wow is it bad down there. It's valet service, which is actually very inconvenient. Because when you request for your car to be ready, before you make it to the basement, it's never ever on time. It's always backed up with people waiting for there car. I've also heard from multiple tenants that there cars have been damaged from the staff. I would honestly check out other apartment buildings in the White Plains area if you're looking to live here, as I'll be moving out once my lease is up. Nice looking building and in a good location however I do not feel it is worth the aggravation. Management has been a revolving door since we moved in 2 1/2 yrs ago. They seem pretty disorganized and are constantly making up new rules that do not benefit tenants. The parking garage is chaotic and expensive. It is $175 per month to park one car. There is basically no street parking around the building, so be prepared to have all your guests pay high prices to park in the dysfunctional garage. My air conditioner, dryer and washer are constantly needing servicing and they are all relatively new. All doors are heavy and hard to get into if you have a stroller/ shopping caddy. If you face the train tracks be prepared to get the bright lights of the train reflected into your apartment at night, and be prepared to hear the loud noises and horns if you crack your windows. My husband and I are are our whits-end and we will be moving when our lease is up. Honestly, I wish we never moved here. read more

I tried for over two weeks to get an appointment to see a two-bedroom apartment in this complex. I emailed them (through their website) and called them and left several messages at 833-643-4243. No personal response on any of the times. I only got an automated "canned" email response thanking me for my interest and informing me that someone will be in touch soon. I also received another "canned" email response giving me an office number of 914-368-9151 to call. However, if you dial that number, you hear a voice recording saying that the number is "temporarily unavailable". Wow, if it's this hard as a prospective tenant to get in just to see an apartment, I wonder what it's like once you live there and have issues with your unit. My impressions to date are to avoid this place at all costs! Other apartment complexes in White Plains, like the Avalon White Plains, are 100% more responsive and treat you like they value you as a prospective tenant. That's important to me! read more

I've lived in the building for over 2 years and I have had nothing but a good experience since the time I moved in until now. The front desk staff is friendly and some even know me by first name and the management staff is cool also. Open to feedback and address issues when presented often quickly. Maintenance staff is quick to handle an issue when reported in a timely fashion. I have had an overall good experience and anyone looking to move in this building is the right choice. So to update my previous review. I finally complained to the manager of the parking lot and now certain valets wont even get my car for me. I was cursed at last week by one of them while being screamed at by another. I don't park here for free, this is a service I pay for and I am mistreated daily. I emailed the building management company to complain as well they never answered. Customer service is not alive and well in our current world. read more

55 Bank Street is a very well run apartment building--a perfect blend of modern amenities, well thought out layouts, in building parking for 20% of Manhattan, and a 5 minute walk to White Plains Metro North. Every time I get off the train coming home I count my blessings that I am a resident at LCOR's 55 Bank Street. read more
