Yet they are listing the apartments that are available all over the internet - so I know they exist and are coming up for rent. It is as if no one checks the messages or wants to work with us. We live nearby and just wanted to move my mother to a closer location near us so she is not alone. It is a shame that they will lose our business because their management office can't be bothered to return phone calls.

HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE place to live!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!…read moreStay away from this place!!!!!!!!!! The fact that this place calls themselves "Luxury" is a joke!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! First of all, the heat is electric so get ready to spend a fortune to heat up your apartment on those cold winter nights!!!!!! I used to rent an apartment here... I had a stomper neighbor who lived above me who would stomp all day and night! It was like living in a cardboard box...LITERALLY!!!!!!!! There is no insulation in the walls as management says. The walls are HOLLOW!!!!!! You can hear your neighbors go to the bathroom to say the least!!! The entire year I lived at this property was AWFUL!!! I stayed until my lease was up & I didn't want to break my lease for the sake of the property manager filing a tenant landlord dispute!!!! The property manager Susan at the time is a LIAR!!!! I never got my security deposit back!!!! VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!!!!! Save your money and your time and a lot of headaches!!! I will say these apartments are spacious but it means nothing if you can't relax in your own home!!!!

Heard a new power washing to the garage too. The only concern is the construction for the old DMV. The construction generates some noise in the morning. If you commute to the city, you might not be affected.

I've lived in this building for 4 years and have no real complaints (except for the occasional 1…read moreelevator not working). My husband and I looked around White Plains for an apartment, and this building was the best bet in terms of size of apartments, price, and convenience. The higher floors get tons of sunlight and the 12th floor apartments have fireplaces. There's also a gym upstairs and laundry on every floor. The building is about a 10 min walk to the MetroNorth train station and a 5 minute walk to the Mall and Target/Shoprite. There are so many other things within walking distance including the library, DMV, restaurants, bars, biking/walking trails, etc. etc. With regards to the negative reviews left, it really depends on who you are renting from. They may have had a bad landlord who tried to rip them off and weren't attentive to issues that came up. The units in this building are owned by individuals and either lived in by the owner or rented out to others. I think the review by Steven L. which is filtered out for some reason states valid points. Each unit has separate heating and cooling units. If yours is broken ask your landlord to fix the unit in your apartment! No regrets living here.

We toured the apartments and actually found one we really liked. When we emailed the next day to ask about applying, no one responded. Over the next week, I emailed Michael multiple times and left a few voicemails and never heard back from them. During that week, we decided to look up reviews for the building. We hadn't paid much attention to apartment building reviews before because we felt like most people who wrote reviews would probably be complaining and trying to get management's attention (which I guess I am guilty of now). However, when the reviews are consistently negative and all have the same complaints, you have to wonder whether there is something to them. It has now been 2 weeks and we have not heard anything from them, not that we would still want to live there anyway. So while we do not live in The Continuum, I frankly am not sure how one would go about living here since management is so bad they won't even respond when you are trying to give them money. When we toured other buildings in White Plains and talked to some other people, a lot of them said "whatever you do, don't live in The Continuum." Just wanted to share our experience so others don't waste their time.

Update in response to management's reply (July 14):…read more Thank you for your response but I stand by my review. Unfortunately, many of the issues I raised were ongoing and not handled appropriately, despite repeated communication. The unit was in unacceptable condition upon move-in -- your supervisor personally saw the filth, apologized, and acknowledged it after we had already paid out of pocket for a professional cleaning and taken multiple days off work. Since you, Daniela, weren't working at the property at that time, it's misleading to suggest your team could have arranged a solution. Throughout our lease, repairs were often marked "completed" in the portal when they clearly weren't, requiring us to follow up repeatedly. We also spoke to multiple other residents in the building, and nearly all of them shared similar frustrations -- from poor insulation and mold concerns to unpredictable utility charges and a lack of proper ventilation (all bathrooms are missing exhausts fans..) After speaking to residents and reading other reviews it's obvious that this wasn't an isolated experience, but a pattern that needs to be addressed. I hope future residents receive more transparency, accountability, and urgency. Photos attached are upon move in, a fraction of the issues we've had. -- Anna

The Apex at 290 in Elmsford is a gorgeous property that has so much potential, the maintenance man…read moreis amazing and fast to complete in unit work, but recurring management and elevator concerns overshadow that appeal. Move-in issues included several documented deficiencies that were not fully resolved, and a management transition led to inconsistent parking assignments and enforcement. Elevator reliability is frequently problematic, with prolonged outages and irregular notices. At move-out, disputes arose over charges and the lack of an itemized, timely move-out statement as required by the lease, along with questions about the handling of a pre-existing condition versus post-occupancy damages. Communication with management is difficult, there is limited access to higher-level district managers. Overall, despite potential, the property's ongoing management inconsistencies, elevator issues, and unclear processes for move-out charges have raised concerns about reliability and fairness for prospective tenants. For those considering moving in, make sure that you complete an Inventory and Conditions Form that is provided in your lease documents, make sure to take photos of EVERYTHING before you move in and take photos of EVERYTHING before you move out. Make sure that you obtain a clear, itemized move-out and deposit statement, same day, right after you complete your move out inspection. If you have any concerns, the property manager will NOT give you the direct contact details for the district manager, their boss. I would've stayed after my leave ended for my first year, but after them raising the rent by nearly $500 (ridiculous) and having concerns with management, I am leaving.
