Highly recommend bringing towels, bug spray, water proof phone case, snacks and if you choose the Cenotes bring a flash light if you arent a fan of the dark. My friends and I really enjoyed our experience. Everything was organized. We had plenty of time to ourselves to explore and overall we felt really safe. We booked on Trip Advisor to get the price of $170. I'd recommend going through maybe your resort or hotel to see if you can get an additional discount.

They were 15+ min late picking us up only to wait for 1+ hours at the dock for the catamaran. It was advertised as a catamaran, snorkel, island adventure, and then an exclusive beach club. Snorkeling was amazing but equipment was cheap and not enough time to do it. The "exclusive" beach club was not nice at all. Food was mediocre at best and felt like we were eating at a mess hall. Basically this was a booze cruise, which is great for some, but it was not sold to us as such and it was a totally disappointing experience. It felt like a floating frat party with cheap alcohol and workers pouring tequila down teenagers throats.

Never seen so much colour under the sea before, felt so privileged especially when an inquisitive turtle swam up to have a nosy at us. On Isla Mujeres, instead of staying in the north of the island (where we docked), John was excited to rent a golf cart and so we toured the less touristic, south part the island. He answered all of our random questions (believe me, we think of lots) with a smile and great attitude. He took us to a restaurant with the most delicious fresh fajitas. The best!!! Luis was our guide for all the activities aside from Tulum. He was helpful and kind. Everyone had a great attitude and was polite, always making sure we had a good time. Our group comprised of three families with adults, teens, and young children. It was all of our first times traveling to Cancun so I wanted to find a private tour for my large group. Booking with them through their website was easy and they were very quick to communicate via email. Leading up to the tour, we had some travel delays, but after updating Rod and their team of our situation, they were very accommodating. Kat was our guide and Pepe was our driver. Kat was informative during our guided walk of Chichen Itza and also accommodating of our last minute concerns and needs. Pepe was a great driver and got us to our destinations swiftly and safely. Marveling at the ruins at Chichen Itza and learning more about the history of Mayan culture and the way life might have been like at the time was very interesting. Kat took photos during our entire tour and later shared them via Google. A plus for our group as we LOVE photos. On our way to Cenote Samaal, we requested a stop for some fresh coconut water. They were quick to find a vendor on the side of the road. Pepe also got out and helped cut the coconuts for the 12 of us. Very impressed with his initiative and helpfulness. The coconuts were so refreshing after walking around in the sun at Chichen Itza! Admission, locker access, life jackets, and lunch were provided for us at Cenote Samaal. Everyone in our group enjoyed swimming in the cenote. The lunch buffet was a favorite among the adults in our group as we got to get a taste of Yucatan cuisine. There was something for everyone on this tour and I would highly recommend this company to anyone traveling to Cancun and wanting to get more than just a tour of Chichen Itza, but an experience of what the Yucatan area has to offer. We both thoroughly enjoyed the half day trip and would recommend it to anyone. Limbert was a very knowledgeable guide and told us a lot about the history of Mexico on the drive down. Both were quite close to Playa Del Carmen/ Playacar so the longest drive was around thirty minutes. I got some great photos and at the end of the trip we were sent a Google Drive of the photos that Limbert had taken.

My group had just missed the ferry (coming in from Cancun) and they still accommodated us & made sure we made our reservation when they had no obligation to. They brought us to absolutely stunning locations & I have never swam with as many schools of fish as I did during this tour. Jesús was even willing to help me get a closer shot of the underwater statues. They educated our group on best practices to preserve the reef (which I already am aware of, but appreciate for the less-informed) & stopped the boat when a plastic bag got caught in the wind so that they could fish it out to reduce on ocean plastic (I am very keen on leaving as little of an impact on the world we live in). Ended up being around $45 per person. Seems like the reviews are more favorable on TripAdvisor. It started off a bit disorganized at first, but we finally started boarding and ended up stopping by three different reef spots along La Isla Mujeres. The current were strong but we had two guides looking out for us and taking underwater pictures for us (still pending). Boat included bottled water, margaritas, and tequila. We made sure to tip well. Lunch was included in the price at Playa Tiburón, which took place after all the snorkeling (thank goodness). Coronado fish, veggie slaw, rice, and butter spaghetti, corn tortillas, spicy sauce and salt. Our guides helped with prepping and serving lunch. Overall, we had a fun time with Island Adventures Mexico!
