been with CCI for almost a year, we've only had one professor so far, DR.Q is very intelligent…read more once you get use to her teaching things flow much easier, shes very knowledgeable and dedicated to her students and helping you understand. shes not a babysitter though, so you must speak up to gain further knowledge. CCI is NOT for the mentally weak either. we had a nursing instructor named Jordoun. AMAZING RN. he makes learning fun! and makes you want to come back to class. I felt ready for clinical sites thanks to him and a lot of self learning and reading on my own.

You will feel like you aren't learning anything they had us wait for a clinical site for three months for a placement, during the waiting period we just sat in a room for 12 hrs without even practicing on the dummies they had us practice injections on HOT DOG LINKS. They don't answer the phone in a timely manner could take about a week or two weeks to hear back from someone. The lack of communication and organization is horrible. I finished the LVN and passed because of my dedication to study the material and utilizing ati and watching YouTube videos not because of the instructors or lecture. I finished the program in AUGUST of 2024 they didn't give us a ceremony until APRIL of 2025 wasn't even considered class of 2024 but 2025 makes no sense. The Ceremony was unorganized they had us do a practice run through for the ceremony, while family and friends were already seated which was embarrassing people were clapping thinking the ceremony had began just to have us walk out and come back in. There was also misspelling of names on the school ceremony pamphlet couldn't even get that right. Majority of the time we could barely understand the instructors because of their accents they always had last minute changes during the program. So if you're considering this school just make sure you've done all your research.

There are only so many youtube videos a person can watch but the best way to learn is to have a professional demo the polisher/buffer in front of you, have the students use the polisher/buffer on a hood, and have the instructors critique your work. The course started out with an introduction of all students and Greg Masterson, who is the Director of Training. Greg starts out with a lecture on paints and clear coat, the purpose of polishing, the difference between a polisher and a buffer, pads and chemical polishes/compounds, and finally a Q&A. After break, Greg and Kris setup hoods in the training area for students to use polishers and buffers on. Greg will demo us how to properly install the pad, how much polish to put on, priming the pad, how to spread the polish on the hood, and how to make a "pass" on a section of the hood. Greg also demonstrated how to use a buffer and the students also got some good time in how to use one. In conclusion, Smart Detailing University provided me outstanding information in how to properly use a polisher and buffer. In the past, my technique with a polisher was moving the polisher too fast and using too much polish. Now I know the right technique and that the an important skill in polishing is patience! I highly recommend Greg and Smart Detailing University for those that want to learn how to use polisher and/or a buffer.

What began as a goal to learn a trade quickly became a foundation for future business ownership, and much of that growth is credited to Mr. Raul Ramirez. Mr. Ramirez is an exceptional instructor and a true genius in automotive technology. He is meticulous, demanding, and uncompromising in his standards, yet always fair and respectful to every student. His unannounced, self-designed exams required complete mastery of the material and accurately reflected the pressure and expectations of real-world service centers. With experience at Tesla and other professional facilities, he consistently brought real-life scenarios into the classroom, teaching not only technical skills but professionalism, problem-solving, and operational thinking. While in his program, I balanced school with working as a professional tattoo artist and was honored to be selected as class ambassador. I graduated with a 3.89 GPA and, after graduation, secured a part-time position at DWP Auto Tech Services. Mr. Ramirez's mentorship and discipline provided the foundation and mindset I need as I work toward owning both an automotive repair shop and a tattoo business. I am truly honored to have been his student.

I have Diabetes and use Insulin, and I had an approved accommodation from ADA and The Board of Pharmacy allowing me to bring sweets into the exam room because hypoglycemia can be fatal. Despite the official approval letter, the proctor did not follow the approved accommodation and didn't allow the candy inside the testing room. Instead, it was placed outside, and I was told my exam would be paused if I needed to retrieve it. I did not argue and complied. In the middle of the exam, my blood sugar dropped. When I asked for the exam to be paused so I could get a candy, it was ended instead by mistake!!! They were unable to fix the issue, and I was sent home!!! The next available exam date was 2 months later. Nearly 3 weeks have passed without resolution or the ability to reschedule. I contacted the center multiple times, but no clear responsibility was taken. A manager at the Board of Pharmacy informed me that this type of incident is extremely uncommon and had not occurred in many years. Exam accommodations exist to provide equal access for individuals with medical conditions. In my experience, this situation was handled improperly and resulted in significant stress and delay. Ms. S, if you see this review, please understand that this experience had a serious impact on my emotional well-being and professional progress.

The building has a dedicated parking lot (positive), next to the freeway (positive) easy to locate, but with a decent sized homeless encampment adjacent to the parking lot (big negative) under the freeway. For safety reasons, I chose not to park next to the tents (as a female traveling alone) and instead squeeze my SUV into one of the tight compact spaces on the north side of the lot. The testing center was relatively easy to find. It's clearly a lot older than the Prometric sites that I'd been to before. Older carpeting. Old lockers with numbers written in sharpie on masking tape. Visible storage/clutter. Probably 12-15 chairs. The staff was friendly, and professional (just to add though, at this point I was feeling a little more like an inmate rather than a professional) but there were a few rules (different from other test centers) that I wished I knew about before going in that were NOT indicated on the test confirmation. *No hoodies or pockets. They made everyone remove outerwear, including light sweaters. I felt fortunate to have worn long sleeves today as it is chilly outside and I run cold. Had I been wearing my normal sleeveless tank/tee under my sweater or hoodie, I would have been VERY upset. The temp inside the testing room might have been around 70, so colder than comfortable without, in my opinion. *No obvious bathroom or offer for the bathroom. It was a short exam this time, so not a big deal, but testing centers/proctors usually offer a chance to use the restrooms prior to exam taking. *No fingerprinting services even though it was requested for my appointment. They just don't do it anymore. *No chewing gum. I wasn't, and don't, but I've never been asked before. My car was still where I'd left it and appeared undamaged (just the mere fact that I thought about it caused me a little more unnecessary anxiety). But otherwise an ok experience.
