Why haven't I found Ed earlier!!!! Seriously a must. Ed was throughly, I loved coming here for CPR renewal. His clear and patient. Takes Venmo and cash. Such a delightful experience. Wasn't stressed at all, especially with a test. He asks if you have questions and clarifies as well. CPR card given same day via electronic email. Eddy is great! I love coming here for My CPR recertification. He's awesome. He's very clear and patient with his classroom. Ive been coming here for years. This guy is the best in the business. He just recently switched to electronic. Which is super convenient for me because I would lose my CPR card all the time. So your CPR card goes directly to your email and there is no need to scan it to show future employers. He has a wonderful attitude and provides everything you need. I cannot say anything bad about this Company or instructor. The prices are cheap and you can make appointments with him via phone call or text. I will refer all my coworkers and friends here. He takes temperatures and provides gloves for you during this pandemic. The lobby is very clean and so was the equipment. I wish all CPR instructors were as nice as him. I hope he never goes out of business because I highly doubt I will find someone as good as he is. read more

I have been attending their BLS course for years. Their location is convenient and good parking.

Haha, I don't know what to make of this place.. Pros: -Cheap! The BLS certification is only $50. Most places is like $60+ -Short time! This took only like 2.5 hours, whereas other places are about 4-6 hours. -No appointment needed! You can just walk in. -Classes are 6 days a week, morning and evening. Some hospitals I know will offer it like twice a month. Cons: -We didn't practice on a dummy. I mean the equipment was there, but the instructor said we can leave when the video was over. -I like the idea of watching a video, but to me, that just means they're lazy to teach it themselves. read more

we are well established company in Gardena looking to get our team certified i called this company and have to say i was extremely shocked with the lack of professionalism i was hung up on and double checked the number so i called back to make sure i didn't miss anything , the manner in which the telephone was answered was extremely unprofessional and disrespectful. i had to tell the person who answered the phone that i was looking for a quote and then his attitude changed. Learning lesson for all business educate your team on proper etiquette sometime one chance is all you get FYI we are looking to get 150 people certified. read more

This is my favorite place to certify my CPR. I been going there for years. Ed is a great instructor asked if I had any questions and gladly clarified. He accepts cash and Venmo payments. I'm looking forward to giving him another visit once I need to recertify. Covid Precautions - You are asked to wear a mask and gloves. He will take temperature before entering the premises. I took a CPR and First Aid class for my job and I was referred here. Ed was welcoming and was also funny and friendly. I came in to take the class with a younger crowd of college students and he was able to entertain us with his light humor. His CPR classes were very thorough. We first watched a video on situations that exercised CPR skills (i.e. medical trauma videos). He walked in after the video and asked if we had questions. We didn't, so we proceeded with the hands-on experience on the dummies. The dummies ranged from baby, child, to adults. A small quiz was taken at the end and he is always open to answer anymore questions. Overall we had a really great experience and received our cards at the end of class. The establishment is CASH only so be sure to inquire the price before you come in for renewal or first timer! read more

He has class almost everyday of the week!! And you can just walk in!!! Super easy and fast no hassle. I got my cpr and bls emailed the same day and next day. He answers his phone for all my questions. He knows what my school and other schools want. He also gave me extra paper work to remember how to do cpr. He's very friendly and personable. read more

I needed to renew my First Aid/CPR/AED certification ASAP and this place was EXACTLY what I was looking for! It's was not only convenient that this class was offered on a Saturday but was over before I knew it. The location has plenty of parking, perfectly clean and the instructor (Ed) encouraged questions and was very thorough with his responses. Upon completion of the class we were presented with AHA card (and a copy), certificate of completion and some CPR Guidelines and First Aid "cheat sheets"...how great is that?! PLUS, next visit in 2 years is $10 off!!! This review is only for renewal of certification so I cannot speak for the full on training class... Thanks Ed, I will see you in 2016!!!! read more

I'm very, very torn by this place. Actually, it scares me. I attended a class here to get certified for First Aid/CPR/AED. First off, it's a cash only establishment (which was never mentioned when I called the place to make an appointment.) Don't have cash? Don't worry, he'll hold everything and wait for you to walk to the bank next door to grab some cash and not proceed until you've settled the payment first. I guess I was expecting to practice on dummies...you know, like you're expected to by the American Heart Association. It's not as if they didn't have any on site to practice on, because they do. They're in plain view even. Anyway, there's a 20min monologue of common knowledge stuff that anyone who's ever watched a medical drama or a crime show would know. A video is then played where the presentors even say things such as, "Your instructor will now pause this video to allow you to practice..." etc. No such thing. Once the video was playing, our instructor left and returned at the end of the video with envelopes already containing everyone's driver's license (which he collects at the beginning), information documentation (you know, in case you forget something), and your spiffy, new, certification card. Oh, at least he does make it a point to ask if anyone has any questions. "No? Okay, have a good day, you've all passed." He gets points for answering my questions in full detail because he genuinely seems to want people to understand what he's teaching...unfortunately, although I feel that I know what to do in case of an emergency, I lack the confidence that hands on training would help alleviate. ....but hey, I have a card that suggests I know exactly what to do in case any of you foodies keel over and stop breathing or are choking on some trendy, posh food bits. True story! I'm all for supporting small businesses, but I will gladly dish out the extra cash next time to do a real training session elsewhere. Most likely before this one even expires. Oh, and by the way, the parking lot there is scary. I walked to my car where a group of people were hanging around on. Literally ON. Nevermind the fact that they were smoking pot. They said they were watching car for me. I tried to not look nervous as they stared at me getting into my car....it was uncomfortable. read more

I highly recommend First Response! My instructor, Ed, is very knowledgable about everything there is to know about basic life support! He explains it in a way that is very easy to remember, especially when it comes time to put it to the test in a real crisis situation. The facility is very clean and organized and affordable!! My BLS renewal was only $50, and it was worth every penny from this place! I'll be coming back to Ed every 2 years for sure! read more

This place is really awesome! It's $50 if you have never gotten your CPR or your CPR card is expired. If your are just renewing or you come with a friend it's $40. The instructor, Ed was really, really nice and tailored the class specifically to me, since I was the only one taking that particular class (It was Friday night =( ) He didn't just explain the terminology and make it all technical; he explained it in such a realistic, thorough way that I will probably remember it for the rest of my life. All in all, it was a fast, very informative class that I will take again in 2 years when I need to renew my CPR card. read more
