I have been going to this place for a few years. Never been treated rudely or been ignored. Last purchase was of a small quad. I wasnt sure if it would work, so I asked the employee we could plug it in somewhere to charge the battery. He was more than happy to do so and while it was charging I browsed the store. The price on the items they sell is fair, as well as the price they pay for items. Ive sold everything from a car stereo to my Makita tool kit. And the pricing was always fair. everytime i come to this store the manager with the white hair is always rude. many times when im speaking to someone he jumps in making comments that arent needed. never can say hi how are you or can i help you. like he dont like helping black people but want to jump in to make a call about something he didnt want to help. this guy could see you standing there and wont help. sold good things here but because i want to questions prices or negotiate prices im a problem. how am i not able to question prices when im the one selling? this guy cant even say hi or help but want to make a decision on whats taking place. then goes off about lies. i always say hello when i come and have a great attitude this guy never have a good attitude and hes going to be the reason the doors close soon! i honestly get a racist vibe from this guy. say stuff and go to the back. tuff guy lol read more

I have purchased and sold stuff here since back when they were called Cash Converters. I appreciate that there is a place like this in the neighborhood. Their video games\systems selection is really good with decent prices and a lot of retro stuff Gamestop won't sell anymore. That alone brings me back now and then. I shop in ebay sometimes but it is fun to be able to walk into a real store and I often find the prices are better especially with buy one get one sales. Movie selection is really good too. I'm a bit of an introvert so I really don't care if staff is busy doing something else or just chilling. If I want something I ask and it's all good, haha. 4.5/5 stars read more

I have been in this store twice the first time the employee was playing video games instead of helping. The second time I stood looking at the jewelry case for a good few minutes looked around the person at the counter just kept looking at his computer. They also had some binder on the counter so I assume they were doing inventory or something which also blocked the product it was mid day so co fusing to me! What makes it more weird is the only thing they do is say hello to people who walk in they don't ask if you need help! I looked at my bf and said let's do it doesn't seem like this place cares to sell to customers. Trades in stolen goods. I am an auto shop owner in Villa Park IL. I made a bad decision when hiring a thief. This resulted in my Snap-on Scanner ( auto diagnostic computer) with a replacement cost of $5,000 being stolen and pawned for $500 at Cash Converters. The Scanner was subsequently sold. Cash converters has confirmed the transaction with the police and has no obligation to report the purchaser. A reasonable business person would have realized that the item was stolen. We need to lobby for better laws to prevent pawn shops from dealing in stolen goods. read more

I wish I wrote his name down but I have seen him in there before when I bought an electric guitar there about 4 years ago. He looks like he should be selling a used car. Greasy hair, real rude, works usually in the "WE BUY" section. I was in there a couple of days ago, ME:clean cut, nice car, in shape, no reason to be looked down upon. They offered me no help to carry the assortment of goods that were just given to me via a last will and testament. I had a GAS POWERED LEAF BLOWER, A STOCK 6 DISK FACTORY OEM stereo, AN IPHONE ( UNLOCKED BTW), a "WHITE BOARD" student projector, about 20 UNWRAPPED/NEW C/D's , A FUJI FILM camera. He said without looking at my grandfathers stuff, "This is ALL JUNK". Do you want me to throw it away?" I said "No" I getting to the full 2 Karat Wedding Ring left to my Grandpa from my Grandma and the list of high end watches such as "ROLEX, TAG, MOVADO" just to name a few. Some mine some my Grandfathers. ALL stayed in my car because this tastless idiot did not even give me a chance to go get them. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE my guess is they are going out of business due to TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE and the filth everywhere in the place.
