Poor customer service. Just left due to an older woman who is definitely racist. I witnessed her look me up and down with her nose raised while speaking to another gentleman in their native language. There's nothing wrong with speaking your language at all however you can tell when you're being judged. Fantastic experience. All other jewelry stores could not change out my lobster claw on my bracelet without sending it out for weeks. The jeweler in the store changed out the claw and I can wear my bracelet again. Also, the other stores quoted me $100-130 for them to repair my bracelet in weeks. I paid $65. I would give it zero star if it was an option. Saw the sign "$11 plus tax" to replace watch battery by chance when we were in the mall. For mine though, it's $15 which was ok because that's what I paid at the regular place in my neighborhood. Got home later, found out that the dial on the side of my watch was missing. Called right away to the store, and I was informed to bring the watch in to resolve the issue. Stopped by one week later, George, the owner or manager, refused to take any responsibility. I needed to have the batteries replaced in two of my watches for quite some time. Every time I was at Woodfield mall I would pass this store with the sign out front that says watch battery replacement $11 plus tax. So eventually I remembered to bring my watches to the mall with me and stopped by Gold Creations. First of all, they need a new sign because this is very false advertising. They should replace it with a sign that says watch battery replacement $15 and up. I have never been to a place that charges different prices to replace a battery depending on the brand. Inside they have signs posted with different brands and different prices and none of them were less than $15. I had one coach watch and one Michael Kors. That being said I was told it would be $19 for the first and $20 for the latter. At this point I didn't care because I had been sitting on this for so long, but I will never return. It's the exact same battery and process to replace it. Brand should have nothing to do with it. Back home in Toronto I would go to a store on Yonge street and it was $10 no matter what watch you gave them. Never go here. Don't waste your time or your money. read more

The owner is a perfect gentleman, very knowledgeable and always a very pleasant man. Reminds me of my dad, wouldn't hurt anyone. I always enjoy our conversations. He was highly recommended to me years ago by two of my coworkers and now I won't go anywhere else. He worked with my husband and me to decide on our purchases. Once I told them I had a Michael Kors watch, Rogers and Hollands quoted me a battery watch change for $25. They said that if I wanted to get it pressurized for water resistance, they would have to send it away for a week and it would cost $50. What a RIPOFF and an inconvenience. I was referred to this place by my cousin for a watch battery change. They said they would pressurize it at their store, and that it would cost $20 and be ready in 10 minutes. It probably would've taken them even less if they didn't have other customers before me, but hey, I'm not complaining about 10 measly minutes! The staff were helpful and friendly. This place is a rip off and they have ruined my $800 watch. I simply went in to get the back cover of my watch pressed in, " the old rude lady was so cheap and a fraud that she charged me $15 just to press in the cover that took less than 10 seconds. After she did that, the main hands of my watch stopped moving right then and there, because she pressed it too hard. when I asked what happened to it. she blatantly lied and blamed it on the watch and I that the watch wasn't working before I handed it over to her. A blatant lie to my face and she made up any possible lie she could at the time but the fact is that my watcy was now broken after paying her $15 to simply close the cover. I had five of my watch batteries changed at one time. I was in a rush and went in for convenience. BIG mistake. Let's just say 2 out of the 5 survived. In the last twelve hours - one is being sent in for repairs by the manufacture and two have gone to a different jeweler, fixed, and returned. The work is sloppy and over priced. When attempting to speak with them about the matter, I received attitude, and told these issues were my fault. Despite the name Gold Creations, this place has no idea how to treat gold. Or even the difference between 18k and 9k gold. My boyfriend bought me some beautiful earrings from Florence, Italy on the golden bridge. Sadly, on the train leaving Florence the backing of the earring broke. We brought my earrings to "Gold" Creations to have them fix the backing. When they applied heat to my earrings they completely took the gold out of my earrings making one look different from the other. Thinking I wasn't going to notice. When I showed George (the manager) he said he would fix them. I specifically told George DO NOT touch the original earring, just fix the one they ruined to match the good one!!! Instead of listening to me he did the complete opposite and added gold to BOTH earrings making them look fake!!! To top it off he added 18k gold to my 9k gold earrings!!! Luckily, I have taken pictures of my earrings through this whole process. When I pointed out to George and showed him the picture of my earrings before bringing them to his store He of course couldn't that tell the diffrence. My beautiful earrings from Florence had a soft subtle gold look to them. Now, they look loud and cheap!! And believe me it doesn't take a genius to notice!!! Had a watch engraved, charged $30 - it was scratched when I picked it up about a week later. I went to another Jeweler for another watch engraving and when I showed them a picture, they informed me that they could have fixed the scratch (I'm assuming Gold Creations could have fixed the scratch too, but chose not to) & the other Jeweler only charged $8 for engraving the same information and it took them less than 2 hours. I won't be back to Gold Creations, it was convienence at the time and thinking I didn't have many options for watch engravings in the area. read more

Brought my Fossil watch in to have the battery replaced. Store owner was very nice, however he had handed the watch to one of his employees. At one point she came back to the front and the manager explained to me it was over tightened so he had to use "a special trick" to loose the back. He came back fairly quickly and I paid 16.50 for the battery install. It wasn't until after I left the store that I noticed they had put several scratches across the back. My wife was actually the one that ended going back into the store where the manager denied they scratched my watch, actually telling her they were already there. Now I collect watches and this particular watch was worn maybe twice in the 3 years I've owned it. This watch didn't have a scratch on it, the battery had also never been removed. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. I totally understand accidents happen, but in my line of work when I accidentally damage my customer's property I own up to it and take full responsibility. Even if he didn't do the damage, it's clear his employee then did. read more

I asked if they had put the original battery back in so that I could take it elsewhere, to which I was told yes, but found upon getting home that they had lied. I called to get things straightened out, ended up speaking to a laughably rude employee who told me to call back to speak to the manager then hung up on me. I would suggest staying away. read more
