The gal said I had to come in because I needed a referral. I knew it wasn't right but I visited and the man Doc had no idea where to send me. He was muddling around on the computer and I saw one that was accepting new patients. I was leaving and the girls told me I owed them $38, for what????? No one touched me was except to puff my eyes and I told her I had just had all that a week ago with them. She immediately seemed alarmed when she seated me. None of them knew why I was there. I absolutely denied to pay them. They did nothing!!! My husband went there the other day. He waited 20 minutes for them to call him. He was puffed and put in a room. Then a girl came in and told him the doctor would not see him until he paid my $38. He said that's between you and her. She said leave and he did! Both of us disgraced and duped. Wasted both of our time. They must be pretty hard up to muscle $38 out of either of us. They will never see our insurance again. I'm filing complaints with the state and our insurance company.

This was by far the BEST experience I have ever had when seeing an eye doctor. I called for an appointment, and they got me in within a week. I went today and got there 20 minutes early for my appointment & was taken in early. The staff was welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable! The assistant (not sure of her actual title) went through numerous series of tests and set up a lot of information prior to me seeing Dr. Horn. Once the Dr. came in, she was quick, precise and answered all my questions so that I understood everything she was saying. Dr. Horn is straight forward & I appreciate that 100%, she talks to you, not at you. Next, out to pick out a pair of glasses - the woman that assisted me was friendly, again knowledgeable and walked me through different frame options. I chose a pair of Prada frames, went with anti-glare, transitions & progressive lenses. Quite frankly I was nervous about the cost, but when all said and done, the price was reasonable and she discounted the frames as I do not have insurance and was paying out of pocket. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND ANYONE TO GO TO BEACH FAMILY EYE CARE and I'm actually looking forward to the fact they will call me next year when I'm due for a visit!! I was very pleased with the customer service I received on the phone and the woman was very kind. I also enjoyed the text reminder updates for the appointment and the confirmation texts. The office is in a good location and has plenty of parking. The inside of the office is well maintained and very clean. The office is also decorated nicely. I was greeted by a woman at the front desk and she quickly checked me in for my appointment. My appointment started fairly on time. It began by a younger lady running different tests and eye exams. She was very kind and efficient and explained everything very well. I was very pleased with the first half of my appointment. I was then taken into a different room to meet with the Doctor. The Doctor rushed in and she barely introduced herself. Did not look me in the eyes went straight to the computer. Then she performed the refraction test and seemed frustrated that it took me additional time to realize if "red" or "green" is clearer. Then she rushed me out to get my eyes dilated. While my eyes were dilating I met a very nice lady who helped me pick out lenses. She was super nice and fun! Then I went back into the room to talk to the doctor again and check a few more things and she talked so fast and seemed so rushed I felt overwhelmed. She practically ran out of the exam room. She then gave me prescriptions and did not go over them with me I had to ask the lady at the front desk what they even were. I ordered a pair of glasses and they did come in fairly quickly. I came the next week and a girl got me to follow her to try them on and she did not say one word. It was very awkward. This establishment is nice. The Doctor was kind. I just wish I hadn't felt so rushed and I could have spoken more about my concerns and my eyes.

Offices handled steps similarly. However, Dr. Jimenez takes the time to talk and explain things. My other doctor would just touch your shoulder and say see you next time. I have had macular degeneration for 5 years in right eye and 6 months in left. Other doctor said best to quit treating left eye. Dr. Jim said let's give it 6 month and see. I have s.ight improvement the 1st month. Amen . We just need more doctors to ease wait times, except when they have to dilate your eyes, additional time is necessary.

Heavy with bass - the rooms shook even when we were (finally) in the exam room with the door closed. So sweating it out while we waited and got a headache from the very unprofessional music choices did not make for a fun afternoon (which should not have taken so long). I hope management reads this and lowers the music (and the bass) as it was not a very pleasant place to get medical care. Seriously - it was awful! (The Doctor and his assistant were great - I feel bad that they have to work in an environment that feels like chaos.)
