Drew was incredible to work with and extremely accommodating to make sure each of our 35 guests would have a great time. The food was absolutely delicious and the space was beautiful. The staff was incredibly attentive and the birthday girl had a blast! Being located in Olde Town Conyers, we had the options to walk in the city garden area, and there were multiple local pubs nearby for those who wanted to continue after our event ended. I will absolutely be booking with them and recommending 908 to others in the future!

THEY BROKE OUR CONTRACT LESS THAN TWO MONTHS BEFORE OUR WEDDING. The contract included the venue,…read morethe catering, the flowers, and most of the decorations. Meaning they left us with less than two months to completely start over in planning our entire wedding. They even have you sign the contract saying that you will not leave them any bad reviews (we should have known then), but since they are the ones that broke the contract I will make sure to leave the worst reviews on every site I can find. It started when Brandy emailed us somebody else's contract, showing us that for a cheaper price they got a lot more than we did. She said she didn't see what the big deal was. Then, the florist said that he was already doing two weddings that week and just couldn't handle the stress. (He is probably in the wrong line of work) We tried to explain to him that it was already included in the contract. We received a call afterwards from the company saying that the florist complained, saying that we were screaming at him and he refused to do business with us. That was a lie. There were many small things that suddenly were not included or different than what was agreed on when we first met. The next problem we had, had to do with the catering. Initially we were told that when we did the taste test that we would be able to choose from a menu what we would like to try and decide from there what we would like for the wedding. That changed as well. They then told us that since they do the taste tests for large groups of people they cannot cater to everyone's wants and that we would only be able to try what was on their menu for that month. So we went. We were the only family there. That meant they also lied about not being able to cater to us. They began to bring out the appetizers, which were almost inedible. One of the appetizers was a green fried tomato slider. There wasn't really any tomato in it so it just tasted like fried breading in bread. Another one was potato souffle if I remember correctly. Whatever it was, when we put our fork in it to take a bite, the entire thing came up like a rock. My mom commented that she could tell that the food had been pre-made but she assumed that it would be fresh for the wedding. That didn't go over too well, Brandy told us that she could bring out the pan that the food was cooked in.....like that was going to prove anything. Then she went in the kitchen and came back with someone else from the company. The first thing he said when he came out was: "Obviously there is nothing we can do to make you happy so you can come Wednesday to pick up your check." NO ONE SHOULD EVER DO BUSINESS WITH THOSE LIARS.

The large windows, brick interior, loft style, outdoor area (patio and garden) and river backdrop were beautiful (which made for wonderful photos). Guests immediately loved the place when they pulled up to the venue. I was set on getting married outside; however, because of rain the morning of the wedding and the wet grounds, our ceremony was held inside and cocktail hour was outside on the patio. Even though my heart was set on everything being outside (other than the reception), it was all beautiful and perfect. The bridal loft was definitely a plus since I had a large bridal party. It was a beautiful fully equipped loft style apartment that also made for great photos. I wouldn't change a thing about the venue other than its distance. This was a great find. I initially looked at the Cotton Warehouse in Monroe (which was also nice), but I am so grateful that Jakob told me about this place because it fit us perfectly.

This hotel was near the function we were having. We had a smooth check-in; our room was clean and the staff was nice. The breakfast was typical (sausage, some form of eggs, pastries, fruit, yogurt, instant grits, oatmeal, cereal, etc.). I appreciate that "healthier" options include turkey sausage and (pre-made) egg-white omelets. Note, my favorite breakfast item though was the "breadless" quiche. The staff member responsible for managing the breakfast was pleasant as well. I enjoyed the exercise room and am always happy to see when rooms have recyclable bins. Even though we ran into a bit of an issue, management made it right, which was very appreciative and a sign of great customer service. I will certainly plan to stay at this hotel again when back in the area!

This is a popular event space in the Covington/Oxford area. I've been to a few events held there…read morethrough the years - wedding reception, birthday party, etc. The space is large enough for a very large party, but can be converted for a more intimate setting. The main banquet room could be a lot nicer, in my opinion, if they would make some simple updates to the decor. The window treatments and other decorative accents are very dated. There's ample parking available in a well-maintained lot. However, there was a large pothole in the driveway leading to the venue when I was there for a party in late October 2016. The venue itself boasts a large reception/entrance area, a spacious kitchen and prep room for caterers, plenty of tables with comfortable chairs, and large restrooms. I've never held an event there, so I cannot comment on pricing.

American Legion does a lot of good in the community. Raising funds for ALS, Breast Cancer in…read moreconjuction with the Conyers Hooters Breast Cancer Fundraiser and Awareness, Helping out disabled veterans, the special friends dance each month for young people with handicaps. Also the American Legion Spouses Auxiliary Club is wonderful to; they do a lot of good in the community as well.
