He was very very rude to both of us after I got upset because he had had the truck for so long and hadn't even touched it. Against our better judgement we still let him "fix it". He originally quoted us 1,500$-1,800$ TOPS. (In the End we ended up paying 2,560$ for a 2wd 1500 truck) he finally lets us know it's ready. (After a very heated argument the night before) Almost two months later we are FINALLY going to pick it up, right? WRONG. We get there and the truck is STILL on the lift, the exhaust isn't welded up, and he says it'll be 30 mins and he'll be done. AN HOUR AND A HALF goes by, I finally tell him I can't wait any longer. I have my son in the car and it's 9:30 and he needs to be home in bed. He says no problem, be here at 8 in the morning, everything will be ready. I'm sure you can guess that we showed up at 8, and he was no where to be found, wouldn't answer calls, text or anything. Didn't call us back for the entire day. The next day we get there to pick up the truck AGAIN, the truck hasn't moved, the exhaust still isn't welded up. It's the same shit different day, literally. We wait, he FINALLY finished, the weld looked like shit. I could have done a better job with my eyes shut and I've never welded a day in my life. He also stripped out 2 of the bell housing bolts, and just left it like that. the BRAND NEW transmission is leaking fluid and it isn't even a month old. Honestly he just all around did a terrible job, from his work to communication skills. If you're looking for someone to work on your vehicle, choose anyone but Bobby's transmissions. We have a warranty but will not be using it.(if he would even stand true to it). Moral of the story, take your vehicle ANYWHERE but here!!!!!!

He will lie to you about what is wrong with your transmission, charge you for replacement parts and labor and then not back his so called warranty when it goes out very soon after you pick it up. Today our friend took his transmission to another reputable builder with high reviews. He immediately took it apart to find that Bobby not only lied about what parts he upgraded but he reused old parts he attempted to buff and clean up himself. This transmission was suppose to uphold on a vehicle that is modified and Bobby was aware and was asked to build to those specifications. We find out today that though he charged for an upgraded transmission that in fact he put all stock parts into it on top of them being used. Charges hopefully will be pressed once all information and photographs are documented. If you have any issues what so ever with your vehicle... Bobby cook is one man I would never ask to touch even a valve stem. He is a liar and a thief. One day karma will find him for what all he has done to so many. When it does.... I hope it involves him needing dentures afterwards. He is a disgrace and a pathetic excuse for a human being.

We agreed to the $189 diagnostic check out, but was charged an additional diagnostic chemical block test fee without prior approval from us or discussion upon drop off. I witnessed the entire discussion myself. He received a quote of $1,080 to replace the electrical cooling fan and module. I told him to deny the repair, as that is complete insane pricing. He questioned the unapproved additional diagnostic fee, we were fine with the $189 and it was reduced to $280 from $315. He paid the $280 and picked the vehicle up. We bought the parts (same brand and model they quoted him with) the next day w/ warranty ($290) and I walked him through how to replace both parts. We were done in 30 minutes, this wasn't me doing it, this was the time for him to do it and learn while me telling him what to do. The prices quoted for the simple, straight forward repair were ridiculous. Sad to see from a long term local business. As a life long coast resident, I will share my experience when asked where not to go regarding cost effective, needed auto repairs. The nearly $300 diagnostic fee was going to be charged if we moved forward with repairs. What an experience! One and done!
