I am not a professional. I am a homeowner. This is a great company to do business with. The equipment is all new and maintained properly. Everyone at the company is friendly, clean cut, nicely attired. They are on time. Their communication is excellent. They pick up the phone when you call. I rented a mini-excavator recently to do work in my yard. It was virtually brand new. We used it all day. I got the machine stuck in a drainage ditch at 5:30pm. I called the company expecting no one to answer. The owner, Casey Wyatt, picked up the phone. To my astonishment, he said he would be right over. He arrived 10 minutes later and freed the machine in moments. He then asked me exactly what I was trying to accomplish. I explained. He then said, I'm here I'll do it for you. He proceeded to work on MY project for the next hour. He completed in an hour what would have taken me 3. He refused to be paid anything more then the original rental fee. Amazing. Really good people. That's customer service, and that's rare in NC. Thank you Casey Wyatt, Lex and Buck.

This Sunbelt Rental is inside the Tega Cay, SC Walmart…read more I needed to rent a pressure washer to clean a 3 year old concrete patio. After a couple of phone calls, I learned these small Sunbelts specialize in tools and equipment for the DIY homeowner. I talked with Zach about the 1400 PSI electric pressure washer which was on the lower end of the cost range. My research suggested buying eco-friendly cleaning solution as well. He educated me on the different types of equipment they had in stock and recommended the 2400 PSI gas unit. It's a little higher cost wise but much more powerful. It has 3 different types of spray nozzle attachments which are designed to give you flexible range of use for what you're cleaning and cleaning solutions for concrete are not needed. It also comes with a 50 foot hose and trigger wand which gives you one setting of on or off. It's a 6.5 horsepower engine with a one gallon gas tank. I was a little skeptical about putting the gas unit in my SUV but Zach assured me all their units were cleaned and serviced after every use. He also mentioned their equipment is newer and is rotated out to make room for newer and more advanced equipment. I went with the minimum 4 hour rental taking into account the drive time round trip. The net cost was right at $50 bucks total. It was smooth and easy, everything worked fine and all was 'as advertised' by Zach and the Sunbelt web site. The only little nit I had was that you are required to re-fill with gas or they levy with an up charge. I found a gas fuel container and funnel and was able to re-fill it without taking it out of my SUV since it weighs about 75 pounds. They also offer a 10% military veteran discount and they will load and unload at their facility. Overall a better than expected experience. I do recommend wearing the safety equipment of eye wear, gloves and safety shoes. The hose will drain water after use so a plastic tarp in your SUV will do the trick.

LACKING IN RESPECT AND CUSTOMER SERVICE:…read more I just wanted to comment on my disrespectful and unsatisfactory experience I had with the Sunbelt office in Concord NC, Branch #28; and also in Indian Trail, Branch #40. It started off with me calling to order a skid steer, and other equipment, for a weekend project. I told the sales person that I had soft ground and would need a tracked vehicle to traverse over it. He said they had one in the Indian Trail and would be happy to set me up with it, and that I would just need to come in to the Concord office to make my payment to complete the reservation. So far the experience was great, until the equipment was delivered the next day. Instead of a tracked skid steer they had sent one with wheels. And to make it worse, it was with tires that were made for driving on a solid surface with zero tread. Right away I told the driver that I had requested one with tracks and I knew I would have trouble getting up my hill with what they sent. So the driver said, I can give it a try and if it doesn't work call the office and they will swap it out for one with tracks. The next day, Saturday, I started using the skid steer and on my first trip up the hill I realized the tires were to slick to make it and were digging deep ruts in my yard. Unfortunately the office was closed, and it would be Sunday afternoon till realized I had to call the 1-800-No-Sweat number for help. With the thoughts of not being able to get the skid steer up the hill, all the damage done to my yard, and not being able to complete my project were to say the least, most stressful. But after speaking with the after hours representative and him reassuring me that they would get a tracked skid steer to me Monday morning and waive the daily rental fee since I wasn't able to use what I had already paid for, I was feeling relieved. Nightmare begins Monday morning with the manager of branch #28, John Killilee, calling and basically called me a liar and that his employee said I never requested a tracked vehicle. So I guess Sunbelt's philosophy is, "Employee's always right"??? And he also said that he would bring me a tracked vehicle but I would have to pay for a full days rental. So when I commented that I was basically going to loose the $300 I had already paid, he decided to add insult and remind me that I had actually paid more. Feeling defeated, I told him never mind that he could come and pick up his equipment and that I would be needing help to pull it up the hill. Never in my life had I ever experienced such poor customer service. That is not until the manager of branch #40, Cliff Holland, calls. He asks what I meant by bringing something to help pull me up the hill and I explained to him about how the skid steer is stuck and doesn't have traction enough to make it up. He replies that I'll just have to call a tow truck. After I asked to confirm that he wasn't going to help me and I didn't feel that I should have to pay more money for a tow truck, he responded with, "I guess we'll do this the hard way." Not knowing what "The Hard Way" is and not wanting them to charge my credit card anymore I told him never mind, that I would get it up the hill. Once again, I have never experienced or heard of a company with such blatant disregard and disrespect for their customers. I highly recommend others to read the contract, inspect the equipment, and make sure it's what you need and not what they felt like sending before you accept it. I will never do business with Sunbelt Rentals again. UPDATE: The District Manager has reached out to us and was very polite with a solution and is going to credit us the cost of the skid steer. I would also like to thank all of those that were involved and I appreciate your immediate actions to retain my patronage.
