I attended a three hour evening course on 'Bread making for Beginners'.
Subsequently I had, had poor results from baking bread both by hand and in a machine.
It was a relaxed and informative evening with all ingredients, cookware, aprons, utensils etc provided. There were seven of us, including two chaps who had a sense of humour.
We learnt which ingredients to keep separated and how to get around it, if they contaminated each other. (Chemical reaction).
Claire had baked a loaf, glazed and seed topped rolls and delicious soda bread during the day so that we knew how our finished goods should turn out. We sampled them, buttered and with a cuppa during the refreshment break.
We made all three and transported them home in bags provided by the lovely Claire.
I can now proudly say that I enjoy baking bread and keep strong flour, dried yeast, sesame and poppy seeds in the cupboard as stock items.
I have since booked up another evening and am following on Facebook .
