I've always liked it's long shape, it's brightly light atrium area for dining or reading, it's overall cleanliness, and the shops who call it home: specifically Wild Oats (one of favorite eateries in the entire state of Maine), Indrani's (where the intoxicating smell I'm obsessed with originates; it's a really cool shop specializing in globally inspired/sourced/imported home goods, gifts, clothing, jewelry, etc.), and one entrance into Eveningstar Cinema (an intimate, artsy, single screen indie movie theater that is charming and unique and smells of deliriously rich popcorn). I just feel like this spot is a frozen moment in time in the best way possible. Bathrooms available immediately upon entering, and down the flight of the stairs to the cinema. There's always parking available right in front on Maine Street. Basically... please never change, Tontine.

I was looking for a full size sleeper sofa, she recommended a twin size. I looked at the product and ordered it, assuming it was a full and not a twin sized sleeper sofa. I cancelled my order after realizing what i ordered. to rub salt on an open wound, after the fact, i found a sleeper sofa (full size!) from wayfair for less than 300. Im keeping the couch i have, since all it could use is some sewing needle, some cleaning, and not much else. Wayfair may have lost customer for this stunt.

So I did a search and discovered the odor was a toxic fume gassing off. I ended up in emergency with heart palpitations, shortness of breath and a cough which I still have. I had the desk put outside on my patio while I phoned Wayfair.com. I was informed that according to todays standards, there was nothing wrong with the desk. The desk still smelled after sitting outside for two weeks. Plus the desk could gas off undetected for up to two years. Please consider carefully before you buy from this company. All year round, this is where they decide to drop their clearance racks for other clothing departments to make the section appear full. All of the clothes are cheap nasty material that nobody wants, certain things have been there since last fall. It's truly pathetic! Their bathrooms are an absolute dumpster fire. ALL THE TIME. Don't even get me started on their idiotic parking lot and the drivers that park there. None of these customers have any right to even have a drivers licenses. Everybody is arrogant and entitled. I can't even tell you how many times the handicap parking is invaded by non handicap people that don't have any compassion. The only saving grace this store has is that they have the new Alpine Blast Poppi soda in stock and their door greeters are the nicest people in the world. That's it. We were standing there smelling the colognes (bottle to the nose) and I decided my to ditch my husband for the clearance racks. Im 30 feet away when one of the employees says, while bagging a customer order "sir, you cant spray the cologne because some customers may have allergies". My husband looks up and says "yep, I understand- I havent sprayed anything" (he works in the medical field) she continues in front of at least 20 people standing in line, and 10 more people at the registers- "if you spray it and someone wants to buy it then they cant return it". He states again "I havent sprayed anything". A few key notes here, he was the ONLY African American in the building, she did not say anything to him until I walked away AND she accused him multiple times when he hadn't sprayed anything at all. We left because he was embarrassed and angry, and called the store and spoke with a manager-who wasnt impressed. No cologne was sprayed, but there arent signs stating that cologne cant be sprayed. She didnt speak the same to the gentleman who was there before us, and I have never been spoken to about spraying or not spraying cologne in that store. I heard her from 30 feet away, and everyone was staring at my husband as if he HAD done something wrong. Hang it up lady.

Yeah, some people might be upset because an American company has chosen to operate with policies, based on their beliefs, and their Constitutional rights to have those beliefs, but as for me, and the vast majority of us hard-working farmers and homesteaders, we applaud TSC for the hard work they do for us, and the customer service that they provide, and we are not going to try to make a store, whether it's TSC, or a local bakery, change how they operate. Give the Brunswick store a try. You'll love it.
