We were so surprised, not because we expected it to be bad, but just because it was better than expected and we were practically the only ones there (to be fair, we were there in the middle of the week rather than a busy weekend). So definitely a hidden gem. There's a much more popular hotel in town, but I'm so glad we chose this one instead. It's not technically a hotel I guess, but it works like one... and has more interesting things than a typical hotel. It really is set up to be like a retreat and conference center, so the name isn't just for show - you can tell that they've really thought about how to make spaces that work for those types of events/ situations. For example, there are plenty of different meeting and conference rooms, and they have a FULL gym, not just a treadmill and some weights like many other places. See the pics for what I mean! They also have a cool lounge area, complete with an open fireplace in the center of the room. Both my mom and I thought how cool it would be to be sitting around there in the fall. They also have a pool and hot tub, like many other hotels. There's a sauna in the locker rooms, which I thought was pretty cool, and it looked nice but we didn't decide to go in. Speaking of the locker rooms: they're also very nice! Definitely well-kept. The views from the hotel rooms are also STUNNING (and I do believe all the rooms are on the same side of the building, so all have the same view). The pictures unfortunately don't do this part justice. Because it's truly out in the middle of nowhere (only about 15mins from the main part of town though), there's just pretty land for as far as you can see. The rooms are pretty standard: two queen beds, a fridge, keurig with a few options, bathroom with shower, and closet. No microwave in the rooms, but there was one downstairs where they had the ice and coffee. I appreciated that they had more than one type of flavored creamer (powdered). I'm not a huge coffee drinker, but I got some because they had amaretto flavor, and it was good!!! At first because the drive there was so quiet and empty, we were a little unsure about what we'd gotten into, but as you can see it ended up being a great place to stay! I almost wish we were there longer. Would definitely go there again!

My husband purchased a Diet Coke, and she immediately asked to see his ID. He explained several times that he was paying cash and didn't need a room key, but she kept asking him, "Then what do you need?" This went back and forth a couple of times before she finally rang up the purchase. The interaction came across as rude and unnecessary. To make matters worse, when we went upstairs, our digital key didn't even work. The carpets were disgusting. They might need to consider replacing them. The next morning at checkout, my husband asked to speak with a manager. The employee at the front desk said she was the manager. After he explained what had happened, instead of listening to our concerns or apologizing, she immediately began making excuses, suggesting that maybe Hailey hadn't seen the drink. The supervisor finally apologized. Rather than acknowledging the poor customer service, she defended the situation with excuse after excuse. This is now the second Hilton Garden Inn where we've had a negative customer service experience. We expect much better from the Hilton brand. Customer service should make guests feel welcome and valued, not frustrated. Because of these experiences, we are cancelling two future reservations. Hilton may want to reconsider the training and selection of employees in customer-facing positions, because experiences like this leave a lasting negative impression.

Went to Lakecrest Casino in Ardmore, OK, and was surprised that they upgraded us to a one-bedroom suite complete with water bottles and coffee. Mindy was exceptional in scheduling the luxurious room. Always has a smile on her face when visitors arrive. Every staff member we met was welcoming. Great food at the restaurant, which starts serving at 11 a.m, with reasonable prices. Everything we've been served there was delicious and served at the right temperature. There's also a snack bar with delicious confections. Played a long time on our bonus money, and ran up to Treasure Valley at Davis,.OK where I just kept hitting smallish amounts on a new slot game. Ended up with tons of points for future visits. Currently the promotions are great: earn 40 points on Thursday, receive another 40 points. On Tuesdays, earn 20 points, and get another 20. We can't say enough for this great getaway from the pressures of everyday life!

They are pet friendly with no additional fees which is nice. Room was standard, clean as can be expected. Shower curtain could use changing and our bathroom had the previous tenants used soap bar on the sink still and our shampoo and conditioner were empty. So those weren't changed from the previous gussets either. We asked for new ones and got them no problem. Breakfast was standard hotel chain but clean and kept us fed. In this tiny town, this is the best you're going to get so yes, we will likely be staying again.
