Pet friendly on a leash. Owner plans to add 10 more sites, a dog-run and picnic table shelters in the future. We will be staying there again. 35' class A pulling a dingy vehicle. You're a bit at the mercy of whoever is there. A lot of people were there for the day backed up to a covered spot and blaring music. There was a depressing amount of trash around. The castles are neat and after doing some web searching we found some history about them (not offered by the park itself which is odd). Some areas feel pretty unsafe. The store just sells towels, $2 water shoes for $20 and life vests. No swimming allowed today (it's still winter and because of flooding) but a lot of people were in various areas of the river. The bathrooms were spread around the upper areas and I think mostly for campers and cabin folks. No one is policing anything though. The ports potties were rank.

We rented two spots and they were side by side, which was a plus for the grandkids. Even though the weekend was rainy for more than 50% of the time, the kids still enjoyed it. My 6 yo grand-daughter loved the two slides down into the lake. We prefer RV sites at Lake Murray but would stay here again if no spots are available there. Truly the only downfall is that it backs up to I-35 and you have the highway noise. Otherwise it was a good, safe place for kids and dogs. The staff is very friendly and accommodating.

The space they put us , next to it ,had a very old ,gutted 4 parts, RV that must've been there for years . Internet is nonfunctional usable for Internet service or fire. Stick to watch movies. I complained to the owner, he agreed this wasn't an abnormality and made no attempt at thinking it needed to be fixed. What could be improved they need to trim the trees so your RV doesn't drag the branches. And maybe price it accordingly . $50 a night parked next to something that probably hasn't paid anything in years doesn't seem quite right.
