I have been a patient at Cool Springs Chiropractic for about 18 months. When I first came in after moving to the area from another state and neglecting the chronic pain in my back I was in pretty bad shape. I was in constant pain in my lower back and my hips. I am happy to report that thanks to the care I got at Cool Springs Chiropractic I am 99% pain free and feel better than I have felt in years!! From my first visit I was treated warmly and professionally from the entire staff. The periodic reevaluations of my pain and progress were very helpful to see how I was progressing. When I came to CSC in the fall of 2014, I was in such pain in my lower back and hip that I could barely drive 8 miles to work. I was in intense pain when sitting and could not even get comfortable lying in bed. Within 3-4 weeks of intensive therapy from Dr. Hinz and Dr. Bechtel the pain had subsided considerably, and I was even able to make the 400 mile trip to Indiana for the Christmas holidays! With weekly maintenance care now for the last 6 months, I have been almost entirely pain free and am able to return to my regular daily routines and activities and feel great! I can't say enough about Dr. Hinz and his staff. I first saw Dr. Hinz for my fibromyalgia and he used acupuncture on me. My fm was out of control and effecting everything in my life. The acupuncture helped get it back under control. About a year later, I started to have severe migraines that were lasting for days, not just hours. I was seeing a neurologist and was being prescribed meds that weren't helping and were causing side effects. I am so glad I thought to call Dr. Hinz. He did xrays and found that I have scoliosis and that my neck has shifted forward several degrees. He stared me on traction and acupuncture and since that first day, I have not had one migraine! I was a skeptic, I always thought "chiropractic isn't for me" I couldn't have been more wrong! I am pregnant and having horrible back and shoulder pain and my midwife suggested I try a chiropractor. Dr. Hinz is not only an excellent chiropractor; he goes the extra mile to listen to you, and wants to help. I've had two surgeries on my Achilles heel tendon a few years ago; I did everything that my surgeon said, but wasn't able to exercise without causing extreme pain in that ankle even now. At one of the talks that Dr. Hinz does at the Brentwood Library, he inspired me enough that I contacted and explained my situation. He helped me with a routine that would strengthen my ankles, and he continues to think of new exercises. I have almost finished my 8 week process at Cool Springs Chiropractic and my results have been amazing! In week 4 or 5, Dr. Hinz showed me a comparison of my X-ray before and after. Last September I came to Dr. Hinz because I literally was hobbling every time I got up from my office chair. It would take me 5 to 10 seconds of pain before I could even take a step properly.
