My mom used to work for a chiropractor who was excellent, so I was cared for by him since I was about 6 or 7 years old. He retired and I've been searching for a new chiropractor for a couple years now. The chiropractor I saw since childhood was very holistic. Last April I threw my back out when I was sound asleep. A friend recommended Cool Springs Chiropractic, made the appointment for me and drove me to the appointment. I've been seeing Peter for a year and my back is pain-free without any medications and I am so happy!! My husband came to a visit with me and now sees Peter regularly also. I wish I had gone sooner - I was utterly miserable when i walked thru their doors. It took several months to figure out the source all of my symptoms but the relief started with the first adjustment. I was having really bad neck and back pain and couldn't figure out what was going on. It had gotten so bad to where I had started to get numb in my right arm and leg. I absolutely tried everything or so I thought. My back slipped last year and I was told it would take 3 times a week for a month for him to put it back into place. Well, 3 weeks later after I was in horrible pain from all of the adjustments, I decided to get an MRI. I figured something was wrong for me to be hurting like this from the adjustments. I had been to a chiropractor before and had never hurt like this. I told Dr. Hinz that I decided to get an MRI and he asked what day my MRI was going to be on so I told him. Coincidentally, he decided to put my back back into place the day of my MRI which means he could have put my back back into place the first day I walked in instead of having me come 3 times a week so that the joint wound up extremely inflamed from all of the unnecessary adjustments. For the past decade I have had limit range of motion in my thoracic spine. I am a young (26-year-old) crossfit athlete, boxer, and data analyst. My data analyst position leaves me immobilized, in a poor posture for most of the day. After work I find exercise to be painful and difficult to execute. His extensive understanding of anatomy and physiology is superior to most MDs I have visit for this same pain. Although, I visit him 3 times a week to correct the problem. Dr. Hinz is VERY cognizant that I have a busy schedule and allows me to do the maximum amount of rehabilitation he can from the comfort of my own home. My appointments are never more than 15 minutes or less. Also, overtime I will see him less and less. Dr. Hinz' superior support staff completes the experience. The office assistants are up beat, caring, and sharp! At my first appointment they did not only book all of my appointments, but emailed them to me in calendar format! If you are in pain and at a loss for what to do next, give Dr. Hinz a try. He has changed my life and made me capable of physically doing things I never thought I was capable of doing. I have set personal records on all of my weightlifting. I can sleep through the entire night without waking up in pain and having to rearrange my pillows to support my back better. Hands down the worst Chiro session I have ever had! He was really good a pretending to know what he was doing but his treatments had nothing to do with my problem. My problem got worse. I ended up having to go elsewhere and on top it off my sessions were cut in half! He wanted me to come back 3 times a week for 6-8 weeks! That's ridiculous! In my home state, my family chiropractor would have me adjusted in one visit with possible followups depending on my issue at the time. Playing sports through growing up and through college required me to get many adjustments, but this was terrible chiropractic skills. I know how I should feel after an honest adjustment but this guy was, sorry to say this, BS. He was all about.....'If I believe i'm helping the patient, then they will believe that I will help them and they will be all better no matter what I do,' type of deal. I'm sorry but $50 per ripoff session is money that can be better spent elsewhere! read more
