It was obvious that the previous front desk person who scheduled me didn't do so successfully, but the front desk didn't care and simply said they couldn't do anything, as if I just showed up randomly at a time never scheduled for me. They did not try to check if I could still see the doctor today or try to schedule me for another day. I immediately cancelled my future cleaning appointments and will not come back again. My wife will do the same. It isn't the first time they messed up things. For at least 2-3 times, they had to charge extra than they initially claimed. They once charged my wife extra for my previous visit but I already paid what they claimed the cost would be during that visit. For another time they didn't file claim to my insurance correctly and I found it after 6 months and notified them. I mean I only started visiting them since like 2 years ago and their error rate was so high. I don't recommend to any one.

But you found them. So let's say nice things about them. My family has been going to Kirkland Dental for over 35 years. The only relatives that go to a different dentist are the ones who have moved out of state. My parents still have kind things to say about Yagi and her staff. The staff go out of their way to be friendly and inviting. They provide a nice lobby and will dress up for goofy occasions like Halloween. They understand when we don't floss as much as we're supposed to. They offer advice like dental guards, fluoride toothpaste, and Sonicare. They take care of you in emergencies, they keep going if your dental concerns create quirks in their day, and they make those under their care feel well-treated. Yagi wants my teeth to look nice. I just want the darn things to function. But she is truly one of the highest-quality people that you could meet life, so I keep coming back. My sincere recommendation is for Kirkland Dental. You won't find better.

They've taken care of me for three or four…read moreyears now and always make me feel welcome, even when I need multiple last-minute appointments for my problematic teeth and waffle on whether I actually need the nitrous while they patiently wait. The office is entirely female, from the staff to the dentists, and they have this warm energy that keeps me driving the hour from Renton to their office. Dr. Ma was also the first dentist to correctly identify my TMJ issues and send me on to a specialist, rather than telling me to stress less and magically stop grinding my teeth. (Hey, turns out it was a spine alignment issue. "Stressing less" was never going to solve it.) This was also the first team to offer me bite blocks, which puts less strain on my jaw while they work, and to encourage me to use headphones for a distraction. The first time I walked into their office, I had a broken tooth and a history of subpar dental care. (See also: "Stress less!") The folks at the front desk took one look at me and spent time calming me down, offering me an over-the-counter pain med, and talking to me about nitrous, which I'd never had offered before. Oh, and their waiting area features both wide chairs with arms and armless benches. I cannot recommend these folks highly enough.

i used to live right next to this place so it was an easy choice to just walk on over…read more unfortunately, my insurance changed (i used to be covered by my husband's insurance, but that expired and i had to change to my company's insurance, which this office doesn't accept), so i had to change practices. i'm sad that i can't continue with this place bc the admin team is SO NICE and understanding and accommodating and patient and knowledgeable and friendly and always on top of things. they always recognized me and my son and were so quick with all the technical procedures and scheduling and all while my 3 y/o was very distractingly messing with the water cooler in the lobby. the text communication with the admin team is so efficient and easy, and they're not very strict and cold in their communication--they're friendly and loving and have character. i love this admin team, and i will miss them dearly :( as for the actual hygienist team: the assistants/hygienists were alright, some cooler than others. some of them seemed to have tense relationships with the main dentist (you could just kind of sense it from the way they talked to each other or about each other--nothing bad was ever explicitly said, but it was in the tones and the sighs, the small things), which made me wonder about whether the dentist was treating his subordinates well or not or what was up with that, but i have no evidence of anything questionable going on so i can't say for certain the main dentist here dr lo is cool and definitely knows his stuff and cares about me and my son and remembers stuff about our lives and is very gentle and understanding about tough things going on with our lives and such, which is awesome. i will say, though, that i at least felt like he was kind-of A Lot at first. i wouldn't say he's weird but he has a lot of charisma and confidence with the way he talks, and at first it was kinda like Whoa This Is A Lot, but it's nothing really bad, and i can tell everyone's gotten used to his bold personality. he was great with my three year old and very understanding about parenting issues that we've faced. overall a cool guy! also the goodie bags and toys that my son received after visits (as well as the toys in the lobby!) were awesome. he still loves and plays with the toys he got from here! this review is like a Thank You And Goodbye note to this clinic. thank you!!

His bedside manners are questionable and left me uncomfortable. The last straw for me was his lack of accountability after a routine cavity filling that led to nerve damage and the eventual conclusion that I now need an extraction to fix his mess. It took him multiple appointments to even diagnose the issue. He was completely nonchalant about messing up and implied that it was meant to happen. If that wasn't bad enough he offered a discount on a dental cap after my extraction. If you can't fill a regular cavity then should you even be in business and to act like it was my problem and not his doing only made it worse. If you care about your family's health, I would highly recommend to avoid this dental clinic at all costs!

I paid this office $400 for a consultation and the ct scan, and yet they did NOT check my mouth during the consultation to notice my infection and, at least give me an antibiotic. It took another dentist to treat me, and point out why this office didn't check my mouth when I paid for a consultation even if I didn't get my wisdom extracted the same day. There is another reviewer who shares a similar experience about getting a treatment that was not necessary.

Very clunky and cumbersome intake process 2. Very unstable payment portal process mix of Dentrix (non-native Fintech) and some unknown third-party, which does not have reminders or auto-draw forcing you to share your financial details with roving staff via questionable security measures 3. Dr. Kim (male with mask) and Julia (office manager) are stand-offish and hollow, going through the motions, and did not make any effort to remember things as basic as: not scheduling appointments when patrons have moved out of the state, keeping a courtesy payment reminder active, updating Px about payment submission changes, shaking hands, or extending basic greetings in the waiting area. 4. They will argue away their avoiding of the Surprise Billing statute, by charging you extra before rendering the receipt of sale, meaning, if there is an agreed payment plan, the fee schedule is subject to change during the encounter if the provider deems it necessary to tack on additional fees-for-services rendered. They put you through the screening but use the built-in excuse that the screening tools are limited and things 'come-up' during the procedures. 5. The dental problem, despite the ~$2,500 tab, is still a problem, and seems like only a temporary fix was applied, to encourage a return visit for more services/charges to be levied. The tools used seemed functional and up-to-date, but beyond this the overall care quality presents as a place that has been gutted by turn-over, limited by location, and hamstringed by said personnel. Given the location and the personage mentioned, it would be best if alternatives were sought -- it is not worth the hassle or expense.
