I was blindsided by an emergency custody situation and felt overwhelmed, but The Valley Law Group…read morechanged the trajectory of my case. From the moment I reached out, I felt understood and supported, thanks in large part to Elda Garcia, whose calm, reassuring presence helped me breathe again. Katie Morgan and Lauren Whistler moved quickly to respond, and Jonathan Roeder stepped in for the pretrial hearing with confidence and care. Their professionalism and genuine concern gave me real confidence when I needed it most. Communication stayed clear and timely throughout, and I never felt left in the dark. Walking into court, I did so with a sense of courage because I knew I was in capable hands. The emergency order was quashed, and I regained my legal decision-making and parenting time rights. I would gladly turn to The Valley Law Group again and highly recommend them to anyone in the Valley who needs thoughtful, tenacious legal support. Their client-first approach - listening, strategic advocacy, and unwavering dedication - truly makes a difference.

I do NOT recommend The Valley Law Group…read more I paid a $7,500 retainer for representation in my final trial, and my experience was extremely disappointing. I felt my case was not properly reviewed, prepared, or handled with the level of care such a serious matter deserved. The attorney assigned to me, Injiya Crawford, appeared unfamiliar with critical details of my case, despite me sending a detailed written summary beforehand to help the legal team understand the history, facts, and key evidence. Some of the most important evidence in my case, including medical records and critical conversations, was not properly presented to the court. These documents were extremely important because they directly addressed serious allegations made against me, including accusations of drug use and medical negligence as a mother. Many of the communications and documents I submitted were in Spanish. I understand a law firm may not always be responsible for providing translations themselves. However, as legal professionals, I expected them to at least inform me if certified translations were required for admissibility in court. That never happened. No one from their team told me that these documents could not be properly submitted without translation. They did not translate them, nor did they advise me to obtain proper translations elsewhere. As a result, highly important evidence was not admitted or could not be effectively presented. This was especially devastating because the untranslated evidence directly contradicted serious accusations made against me. I clearly told my attorney that these records were extremely important, yet they were still not properly prepared for trial. Communication within the office was also very poor. There seemed to be a serious lack of coordination between the intake team, paralegal, and attorney. For example, I had already submitted exhibits to the paralegal well in advance, yet later the attorney asked me whether I had submitted them at all. Although both parties were late in submitting exhibits and the court still allowed exhibits to be presented, I was unable to present all of my most important evidence due to these preparation failures. Out of my $7,500 retainer, I received only about $1,975 back, despite feeling that very little meaningful work was done to properly prepare or present my case. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this firm. The consequences of poor preparation in family court are life-changing, and unfortunately, I do not feel my case received the diligence and attention it required.

In fact, the opposite is true, that I did not have to speak with police. Mike explained my rights. In my emotional state, I needed the clear details that he gave me about how to protect rights and invoke my right to remain silent if questioned by the police. Mike explained and simplified the details. With one phone call, he alleviated the fears I was experiencing. Mike is an honest attorney. He gave me a clear evaluation of the situation. If I need his services, which he told me I did not need at the time (an honest attorney!), I will call Mike Munoz. I trust him to protect my life. Thank you, Mike! You do not know how much your comments mean to me! The best attorney ever with lucid explanations!

I am unaware of the services since I still have yet to receive any…read more Yesterday morning I reached out to get a phone consultation with him & was told I'd get him at 4p. By 4:20 I'd yet to hear anything so I called & was told he was running behind on his previous phone call & was understanding. 4:45 hit & I was not nearly as understanding bc my thoughts are "I'm gonna let someone have my back in court that won't have my back for a phone consultation??" I then called again & was told (by the person that answers the phone) that she texted him to remind him of the 4:30 appointment. 4:30?!?!? I was told 4. She then told me he's still on the phone & I expressed to her that I was very irritated because I waited around my phone for something that was scheduled. Hello! I schedule calls & appointments too, the difference is I show up to mine. I decided that I did not want to hire someone that is unorganized with their call system because who knows where all of my court docs will go - could be scattered in several folders. To end the story I was never called at all yesterday & when I called today he was in court & I was told that it's "busy season". I was then told today (the day after not having my appointment followed through with) that I was being rude with expressing how frustrated I was. I wasn't rude, I wasn't vulgar - I was honest. Munoz defended himself saying was a "nice guy" & per reviews I see that, but I was not treated well by him. No apology for missing my consultation & no apology when I cracked a joke saying "you're the most difficult guy to get in contact with" rather he had a condescending attitude stating "yeah, we're a really busy attorneys office". Seems rather prideful to me with no apology whatsoever. Set people up with expectations because we also have a life outside of yours.
