This is an extremely stressful time and having delt with the others first hand ie: Virtua /Penn , a rather very unfortunate experience to say the very least, Cooper Voorhees is far above and beyond all the nonsense that goes on at Virtua /Penn. The employees at Cooper Voorhees understand exactly what you and your loved one are facing and they know exactly how to make you feel great in such trying times and they do it very very well. While it's a shame that I simply cannot come close to saying any of the same for Cooper hospital in Camden NJ, I do prey for anyone ending up there for testing or anything else and prey some of the employees there get their heads checked and straightened out, however Cooper Voorhees as far Oncology or any other services is where you want to be if unfortunately you need such services. Save yourself the pain, the stress, and the tears of the foul treatment people receive at Virtua /Penn, and go straight to Cooper Voorhees, and let your worries fade away at least a bit.

Faaaaaar more interested in getting paid as much as possible from insurance carriers , than the wellbeing-safety of their patients ... Started out as an intermediate risk prostate cancer patient ( Gejerman's assessment , btw ) , promised nothing but the best possible outcome ( these folks act more like a sleezy used car lot ) , & thereafter was royally ignored ( to a dangerous extent ) in an assembly line/discouraging contact between patient & doctor approach that has horrified other medical professionals I have shared this with ! In spite of repeatedly reporting increasing pain & swelling/literally begging them to examine me , kept being told it was " normal " , while they kept radiating me & prescribing steroids ... Wasn't until my perineum split open that they began paying attention , until of course they punted me back to my PCP , declaring they wereN'T set up to deal with such infections ( never minding it was THEIR treatment that caused it !!! ) ??? Due to NJ Urology's criminally INept care of me , I went from being a reasonably decent senior citizen athlete to being afflicted with endstage AVN of my right hip , necessitating total replacement of my right hip ... So , enough said/shared ( noting the many other assurances these various " doctors " gave me that turned out to be a TOTAL pile of you-know-what !!!!!! ) ? Bottom line , RUN , doN'T walk , to ANY other urology practice besides NJ Urology/Delaware Valley Urology/Summit Health ( assuming you're not interested in having your own doctors harm you ... )

On a recent first visit to the Gastroenterology Dept, I parked in the East Lot for the first time and walked up the ramp to the main building only to find two elderly men sitting behind the desk in grey uniforms that appeared to identify them as part of the Maintenance Dept. When I asked for directions to the Gastro Dept - they had NO IDEA! Next, I approached a staff member at a desk outside the entrance for Breast Cancer patients. She pointed me in the direction of the Young Pavilion. After a VERY LONG walk that took me in almost a full circle, I finally found the Gastro Dept - only to be greeted by a receptionist on the phone who refused to make eye contact of acknowledge my presence in any way. I would've be happy for just a smile - but NOTHING. After sitting for a while, I went to the rude receptionist who was still on a call that was - apparently - more important than greeting patients. I stood over her until her finally made eye contact but not with a smile. Instead, she snarled, "I'm on a call! This lack of staff training is inexcusable at a nationally recognized cancer hospital!
