I had my eye exam completed by Dr. Tiffany Tsoi at Cooper Panariello Eye Institute yesterday. My experience was exceptional. Dr. Tiffany Tsoi was very thorough with the exam and she was very patience and took her time to explain everything to me in a easy to understanding way. This review is strictly about customer service, nothing else about insurance or doctor's appointment. I have been there a total of 3 times in the last 15 months to get different eyeglasses adjusted and nose pads replaced. They have been nothing but nice and caring so i gave them 5 stars. They didn't charge me anything for minor adjustments even though my eyeglasses are not purchased from them. They don't even have a tip jar. Oh well, here's my rating then. read more

THEY DO FRAUDDDDD !!!!!!!!! STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE just like the other reviews they assured me they take my insurance and it covered the visit but at the end of the exam they DID NOT DISCLOSE ANYWHERE in the office in the paper work on the phone NOTHINGGGGG that they will NOT GIVE YOU your prescription unless you paid for it which #1 makes NO SENSE when the insurance covers the visit and the right to get your prescription i also verified with the the GVS website for my insurance which breaks down clearly what my insurance covers exam and lenses AND PRESCRIPTION OF THE EYE EXAM OUTCOME... SO when this was told me the girl literally said " I cannot give you the numbers to your kids prescription unless you pay for all of you each to get it" I was SHOCKED! to say the least so i left and reported it to my insurance next thing i know ... not only and i getting bills in the mail for what i have no idea since they take my insurance "supposedly" ontop of this I took my kids somewhere else much more professional recently since they need glasses for school and exams and GUESS WHAT I WAS TOLD I was not able to get them glasses because this FRAUDDDD of a place billed my insurance as if i got glasses for myself and my kids when I DEF DID NOT SINCE I WALKED OUT OF THE VISIT not to mention NONEEEEEE of there glasses are covered by insurances anyway since they limit there options to high end names ONLY.... so how the hell did i get glasses under my insurance for myself and my kids?????? If that's not contradicting and fraud i don't know what is. honestly I would love to know what they would feel like if someone did this and played with there children's education on refusing complete treatment to innocent kids that just want to see better for school not only do you lie commit fraud you cause a havoc on stopping them from getting glasses anywhere else because of your selfishness on making money by lying to the insurance company. You really need to be investigated because we are not the first people who complain about this everyone go check there reviews on google and any other platform you will see what i am talking about. I really should have done more research before going here. I will be taking proper measures to report this place to the proper channels. I waited for 2+ hours for my scheduled appointment. The receptionists are rude and they most likely forgot that I was there.

This is the WORST optometrist office / business organization in general that I've ever been to. Not only are the receptionists rude to any new customers (the ones that obviously hate their job and project it onto you), their billing office just doesn't seem to exist. I ordered a box of contact lenses from them in early February and paid it off right away and they've repeatedly been billing me the same charge and telling me it will go to collection if I don't pay it off. I've tried to get ahold of the person in accounting/billing and it always directs me to voicemail. And after getting no calls back after leaving numerous voice messages, and trying to reach the general store operator/receptionist to tell me who I can best contact to resolve this, still NOTHING. I'm tired of getting these stupid bills from this so-called "institution" that fails to even put the right protocols in place. Additionally, last year I ordered contacts as I was on my last pair of lenses, and not only did they take weeks to ship the contacts to me (after telling me it'll take 2-3 business days), but they refused to give me trial pairs. I might as well have spent the hour commute going into the city if that meant I get better service than this place. Absolutely terrible. Don't go here. read more

My son failed the vision screening at school and we were told to bring him to an ophthalmologist. I found this office through my insurance website. I called to make an appointment and specifically stated that my son was told he needs a glasses prescription and wanted to confirm that they take my insurance. I was told they do. When I arrived for the appointment I was told that they take my insurance for the exam but they need to charge $55 if we want the prescription because that is billed through my vision plan not my insurance, which they do not participate with. They did not disclose this prior to the appointment and I wasn't going to leave with my 5 year old. Seems like shady business practices to get people in the door. read more

Worst Experience EVER! Awful and money grubbing front office staff. Will bill multiple insurances and extort your prescription. It's more than just making you wait - though they do for no apparent reason - its that after doing your tests as authorized through your medical insurance, they still want to charge you $45 for handing you a prescription! I thought that was illegal. Where in the medical community do you get tests done - but then have to pay for the results over and above the actual paying for the tests? There is little positive to say about the experience; confused office staff, flummoxed technicians about which tests to administer and long wait times. The only thing that was a plus is the actual doctors Cooper and Panariello who are well versed, experienced and meticulous. EVERYTHING that supports and surrounds them make this a practice worth avoiding. I have been frustrated with several visits for myself, but when the same shenanigans was pulled on other family members, I felt compelled to let the Yelp community know. This isn't a disgruntled 'one off' As a family we have visited there 5 times and it only gets worse. AVOID, AVOID, AVOID. read more

Love Dr. Colavito she is very thorough, genial, and professional. She analysed the underlying causes for my concerns and discussed a variety of possible solutions for me to decide. read more

I was seen by Dr. Cooper not too long ago and had a great experience there. The office is very clean and the front desk staff are very nice. From the moment I stepped into the office, I was treated with respect. Dr. Cooper is extremely knowledgeable and took his time to explain his findings. I was also fit for my contact lens and provided a variety of options. I did not feel rushed and feel that I ultimately made the right decision in treating at his office. read more

I've been a patient for more than 20 years, and every doctor I've seen there has been first rate. They take a lot of time to make sure my contacts are correct, which is a challenge because of my astigmatism. They also run an efficient office. For example, Evie in billing helped me navigate insurance/flex spending account claims. That was a little time consuming too, but they were helpful. My review of the flexible spending account manager wouldn't be quite so nice. read more

I visited Dr Cooper a few weeks ago after hearing nothing but good things about him... I was very impressed with his knowledge and he helped me tremendously... he suggested that I get new eyeglasses with prisms... due to my reoccurrence with double vision... Julie, the optometrist, on site was extremely helpful... she helped me pick out the perfect frames for my face... she also was super accommodating and urged me to call her or email her at anytime with any concerns or questions.. Went here I would say about two months or so ago. Went with my little sister and was very impressed with how the place looks, super clean and neat however, we stood there for (I kid you not) over 20 minutes and NO ONE came to the front desk. So we thought, maybe they are busy so let's have a seat, we sat there for a good 10 minutes and still no one appeared. I decided to call the place in the hopes of getting an answer but I didn't. I called 3 times and no one picked up. It's a shame because they lost my business. read more

The office is very modern and clean. I took my son in for a checkup and they are accommodating and friendly. The pediatric optometrist(Dr. Borukhov) was amazing and kid friendly which important for the worried parents out there. I highly recommend it. They also offer vision therapy and their VT tech was kid friendly and sweet as well. read more

I was looking for a good optometrist to go to because I was having trouble seeing signs while I was driving. The glasses I had were giving me very intense headaches because my last doctor gave me a wrong prescription. I did a lot of research on eye doctors until I came across Cooper Panariello Eye Institute. When I went to the office for my appointment I was greeted by a really nice receptionist. The girls up front were very professional and efficient. The office was clean and modern!! I was called in shortly after finishing my paperwork and was promptly seen by the doctor. Dr Borukov was very knowledgeable and gave me a very thorough exam. I did not feel nervous at all or pressured in any way as I usually do when going to see a doctor. The level of service and patient care I received was 5/5. I can now see without any headaches and Im no longer concerned when driving. Thank you so much Dr Borukhov!
