We had the hitch, but not the necessary lighting required for a trailer rental. Although we had an appointment to install the lighting at a Richmond location of the trailer rental company--at considerable cost-- while stopping to visit friends, we were told the kit was not available and could not be located at any other store along the 95 corridor at this venue, but we would most likely get lucky if we made various stops at their locations along the way. We called Southside Hitch the next morning, hoping that they would be able to help, but figured we would pay for our lack of planning. We were told to come on out, they were sure they could accommodate us! And they did! Within 30 minutes, we had a lighting kit installed at a fraction of the cost of the quote from the trailer rental company. It has taken me awhile, but I just want to thank Southside Hitch for being such an honest, reputable, and helpful company. We are so happy we called you! Thank you so very much!

Jeff has been in the business for many years. He has a trailer sales business in New Baltimore. At this location it's primarily reciver hitch, electtrical harness and ball mount install. I had a wheel hub/ bearing fixed and replaced on my driver's front tire. I got it home about a week…read morelater, I started hearing grinding noise and then I started having other issues. I paid for it to be towed from Chesterfield back to King William . I needed rear struts and to find out what that noise was come to find out they had to redo my wheel hub and bearing. Which they did free of charge. I was told that my left motor mount was shot and I needed the right one too so when I paid for the car and picked it up, I paid for the right motor mount so I guess the left one is still shot. I needed rear struts they put on front struts and didn't bother with the rear ones at all. the car is still Squirrley one of the reasons why I did not want to drive it and had it towed also because of the noise of bearing. I understand they were in the middle of moving, but I have left messages after message. I have left text messages on two numbers that I have. I get automated message saying that they'll get back to me and never have done that. I've stopped trying to call. I never heard anything in the last three weeks from anybody so just decided to leave it alone but yeah you know they're nice people but you know nice doesn't keep your car running. Also, my son took his carto them because it was making a really loud noise in the engine. Come to find out his air Compressor had quit working. the belt was making it turn and the guy told us as long as you can deal with the noise, you'll be fine. a week and a half I was on my way to work when the belt locked up everything seized so I had to have someone come all the way to help me up in Richmond at my job at 10 o'clock at night and the price that they quoted to replace the air compressor was higher than buying one online and having it installed. you to risk not every person they've turned out however these reviews, but I can honestly say I won't return nor recommend them.

Would not recommend. I took my car here to be repaired and it had more problem when I picked it up…read morethan it did when I dropped it off. The communication between us was horrible. I would have to leave several messages before o could speak to someone. I took it to get an overall diagnosis and AC repair. My heat was working but no AC when I left it. Decided to wait on AC repair and get important things repaired first. $1500 later, car still doing the same thing and now even the heat isn't working. It's like the blower was damaged. I called, emailed, etc. to discuss the issues and no one ever called me back. I've given them ample amount if time to return the call. Nothing! Would NOT recommend at all!!
