We also tried the wagyu tomahawk and the Kobe beef burgers in the summer which were amazing and surprisingly very reasonably priced. They had some Australian wagyu on special too, I can't wait to try.

The staff is really helpful, I've gone in and said I have a bunch of family members coming over for dinner, what do you recommend for $10 a steak, and they give you a bunch of different options. They also provide my chicken necks and backs for stock, great service. This is one of the last few family owned stores out there, go and support them! And don't forget to buy the banana loaf, its amazing!

When I've gone, they've had the perogies as a special and you can order 10 ready to eat perogies for $5.30 that comes with sour cream. It's a consistent good buy if you want to grab something quick. You can also buy them frozen from what Ive seen in the freezers there are bags of perogies. I've tried the smoked sausage, as well as the potato pancake and was not disappointed. They also have cakes (haven't tried yet but they look great). Overall great local deli! Would recommend for people in the area to check out.

There is a nice selection of polish sausage as well as deli meats. Also available are some sweet and savoury dishes for takeout as well as this is not a restaurant. Cabbage rolls were also bought for dinner tonight and I'm sure they will be excellent. The wife gives 2 thumbs up for the plum donuts. Prices are reasonable and the staff is very pleasant. We still come back every so often as they still offer fair prices without corporate markup. Walking in, the familiar arrangement is in place with produce section in front right with a good variety of Asian vegetables & fruits. This is followed by packaged meats, butcher counter, frozen products, seafood section in the back with nowadays standard prices. The dairy, bakery, sushi and hot food sections round out the left side with some weekly specials. Between this is the usual set of narrow Asian grocery aisles. This isn't the most polished or busy supermarket but browsing here is pleasant with the relative calm that you don't always feel at congested places. From hot food specials, we tried their stir-fry eggplant ($5.98), sweet & sour fish fillet ($9.98) and Cantonese chow mein ($4.98) in good takeout portions. The eggplant and fish were both flavourful while the noodles tasted less authentic. There's a small seating area upfront. Skip it or hit it? When we're occasionally in the area, it's our preferred grocer for old times sake.

So it is only fitting that the first review I write in 2022 is on a grocery store. Ranch Fresh is good - the store is spacious, brightly lit, clean, well organized, well ventilated, cheerfully decorated. The fresh meat is really fresh. Just like other Asian supermarkets, most fresh meat items are sold by weight behind a butcher counter. There is some prepackaged meat if you prefer to grab and go. There is a big produce section with great varieties. Pricing is higher than its sibling store Field Fresh (Scarborough) and just about the same as Full Fresh (Markham). I cannot comment on services, because I didn't require any assistance. There aren't many Asian grocery stores in Newmarket. I trust Ranch Fresh is a good addition to the neighbourhood, providing diversity, variety and convenience.
