I have had hormonal issues since giving birth 2.5 years ago and I am more than ready to connect the dots, so I did some research and found Tressa. They offer a free 15 minute consultation and I instantly knew I wanted to work with her after we talked. It was basically a call for me to give her a brief overview of my health history and what my current concerns were. She was an amazing listener and thought that she could help me, so I booked a full blown appointment with her. The intake appointment was last week and it was an amazing two full hours of her answering all my questions and listening to my full health history + family history. I have never felt like someone was so invested in my health as I did during that virtual call. You cannot even begin to compare this experience to a "regular" appointment at a doctor's office. We talked for about an hour and a half, and then she wrote up a treatment plan and we came back together to discuss the next steps. I am very happy with my treatment plan and cannot wait to see what all of the thorough testing reveals. The only frustrating thing about pursuing naturopathic/integrative medicine is that it is not covered under insurance plans. I am happy to pay out of pocket for this service, however I am going to have to space some of the steps out a bit so that they fit within my budget. I know that once I invest in this initial testing and the time it takes to get to the root cause of my health concerns, I will benefit greatly in the long run. I am so thankful for Tressa and can't wait to see how this journey proceeds.

Yes, it is in writing in the 2 emails sent AFTER you charged my credit card. The appointment was cancelled within hours of reading the email that said "nonrefundable" but a MONTH prior to the actual appointment, thinking that surely when giving a MONTH's notice, there would not be a problem. Dr. Nguyen gets the secret sixth Yelp star from me…read more After my OB-GYN told me that it was unlikely I would be able to have kids naturally due to early adulthood cancer, I went to Dr. Nguyen to see if she could help. Trying to get pregnant is an extremely discouraging and demeaning process but Dr. Nguyen was able to help me get in tune with my body in a way that I never knew how. Even in my darkest moments she was always encouraging and insightful and her sunny outlook kept me going even when I was about to give up. In fact, I had pretty much completely given up when I finally got that positive sign that I had been hoping for. My treatment did not end there, I worked with Dr. Nguyen during my first trimester to make sure my baby was healthy and strong and my body was running like a well-oiled machine. I'm not quite sure if I just got off lucky or if the acupuncture was just really effective because I've been feeling even BETTER than I did before I got pregnant. Except for a few charlie horses here and there I did not suffer from nausea or other typical ailments at all. What I like about about Dr. Nguyen is her balanced approached to alternative medicine and she never seems to recommend treatments that I don't need (although I almost kind of want them because it's so relaxing and zen in there). Can't recommend this place in good conscience. Their practice is the bare minimum one might need…read morefor standard medical care, however they are quite disorganized and have a bad habit of "forgetting" to send in your prescription, or not prescribing the industry standard. They also "lose" or "misplace" key documents and generally make any updating or communicating between them and other institutes quite a nightmare. We stuck with them for a number of years simply because my family really doesn't like switching, but it was simply no longer tolerable. Quite frankly, if you have an alternative option, don't choose this practice. On the flip side, if you have no other option, it is better than nothing. You have a fifty fifty chance of dealing with friendly and courteous employees on any given day. Just go into it prepared to badger the practice, and keep records of all interactions so they can't lie to you.
