There is this guy comes at night and blairs music as loud as possible on a speaker he rolls in, I can hear it through my earplugs at full volume, and this is the only time I can go work out. Im thinking about moving gyms because of this guys disrespect for a public place. read more

All was doing was trying to find out basic fees over message do to busy work weeks and not wanting to waste to much time just to go to place to place. Then they said they rather I came in so I asked there hours on the weekends. Took two days to get a reply saying to check website like I didn't in the first place there page is blank of any helpful info. OK, so my wife and I are in town (from San Diego) visiting my parents in Green Valley (yeah...I know...in the summer...no snide "credibility" assumptions...thanks). The folks are part of a work-out gang called Silver Sneakers, which meets M-W-F at Copper Fitness. We tagged along for a jog and some machines while they met for their fitness class. I couldn't have asked for a better venue for a morning (9:15-10:15) workout in GV in June. The staff (owner Justin and cute front desk/childcare gal) were about as friendly, professional, and business-like as a person could desire. Chill, yet focused. They asked if we needed a hand with anything (we didn't), but let us know to give them a holler if we had a question. Very cool. The facilities are awesome. Natural light, nice and cool. Front of the gym: great selection of new, clean machines, nice variety of cardio machines (row, stairs, treadmills, bikes) and a nice mirrored free-weight zone. Back of gym: kettle bells, free weights, etc. I am guessing that the partioned space is for Silver Sneakers cats, Zumba, and other classes. The class leader was FIT and took no prisoners! Great looking class for the older set to keep their bodies functional. Their new child-care facilities looks ready-to-go (just started up; no kids when we were there). Overall, highly recommended facility. read more

Comfortable environment, friendly people, and definitely a motivational space.

Incompetent customer service. It took me nearly 4 months starting in February for my membership to be cancelled after moving out of town and I was charged the monthly fee each of those months. During the course of those 4 months there were many calls and emails trying to get the membership cancelled, and each month I would be told it was actually cancelled this time. We'll see if I get charged again coming up in June. At the end of May I got confirmation that the membership was cancelled and out of principle I requested a reimbursement. I was completely ignored with nearly every call and email made, with exception of a few individuals that had good intentions but couldn't really help me and continually directed me to their managers; those managers were never available and never gave me the respect of a phone call or email return. It was at this time, after these 4 months finally speaking to a manager, that I was told I did not follow the proper cancellation procedure and that doing it via email or by phone is not acceptable. It sounds like an excuse as that would have been great to be informed of from the start and I would have had no issue with it. So the blame is shifted to me and the gym refuses to reimburse any amount of money. Thank you to Sid and Morgan for trying to help me. No thank you to the Copper Fitness management who refuses to admit they poorly handled this situation and won't take any steps to make it better. read more

My favorite gym! I started my fitness journey here in 2014 when Copper Fitness first opened. Since then I have been in and out of town and to many different gyms but always find myself coming back to this one. Lou and Justin are always very helpful and welcoming each time I come back. There are many different classes here to take advantage of such as Wednesday Mass with Wes which has been my favorite so far. I recommend this gym to anyone looking to improve their fitness or just try something new! read more

We were in town and wanted to check out Copper Fitness with their "free week" offer since we visit Arizona often and were looking for a gym to use when we came to visit. We were told that the "free week" was for "residents only" even though there is nothing in the fine print or anywhere on the offer to indicate that. We were told by the manager or owner that we would have to pay the drop in fee instead of using them for their machines and never coming back. We were planning to come back for future visits, but not now. We paid the $10 drop in fee but don't plan on returning to this gym in the future. If you are going to offer a free week, make sure the offer is clear to those who are from out of town that it is for residents only. Also, honor your offer if it is not clear. I don't plan to return to this gym during future visits. The one bright spot was the woman at the front desk was helpful. read more

Classes were promised they never went thru oh and after your agreement is over and done they continue to charge you and do not reimburse you for a month you did not agree to. Reply to Owner Mr. Lou A. - (Justin), Your staff was very accommodating, Mark was very warm, listened and agreed with our concerns, the front desk lady attendant was very good to deal with too. Both understood our concerns and Mark & the front desk attendant agreed to return my wifes $100 joining fee when we met with them on Saturday the 13th. You are the 'only' one that is being difficult as I notice others have had the same issues we experienced, Posted on NEXT DOOR website. My wife did call in and left Diane a personal phone message when she couldn't attend the evaluation because she had our daughter arriving from California also she became ill and you still wanted her to come in. I believe she told you twice she was vomiting so she changed her evaluation dated with Diane. So maybe you need to get your facts correct. Your staff is 'great' but you know what the right thing is to do. KEEPING $100 joining fee when no classes were ever attended is 'wrong' and you know it. If someone treated your family member that way I'm sure you would object too. Would you like to be treated or your mother be treated in the manor you are treating my wife? I hope you will reconsider because we will not accept your rude behavior and it will reflect on you future business. So for your sake please consider being fair and do what is right. Mark (who we meet with on the 13th) was extremely understanding as was the front desk attendant. I'm sure they would say the same about us, so as the Owner you may consider doing the right thing. Nobody's perfect but the folks at Copper Fitness try hard to get it right. They are friendly and helpful and keep the facility in good order and the equipment in good shape. If I could change something it would be to bring the TVs down so those of us on the treadmills could watch without straining our necks. read more

I'm giving this place a one star due to poor customer service. I am new to the area and this is the only gym available. I signed up for the app and received emails for a free 7 day pass and a free assessment. I went in for the 7 day pass and scheduled my assessment. Due to circumstances I had not been able to go in to use my pass. I went in for my assessment and was told the 7 day pass was from the first day I actually scanned my pass. I noticed there was an expiration date so i went in for my first time. I came home after my workout and noticed my check in had not registered. I called and my mistake was that I did not ask for the gentlemen's name. I explained my situation and basically he told me that is was on me and how much time do I need to decide if I'm becoming a member. I did not appreciate being questioned in such a manner as I'm asking questions based off of the information given to me. He went on to tell me they are not a big business and they have to pay their people so he could extend my pass one more day but other than that it was my fault I didn't use the gym. It was extremely unprofessional and rude. I will not be returning and this now made my decision to not become a member. read more

AWESOME gym... I've been a exercise fanatic my whole life and always rather particular about the gyms I join. A couple months ago I discovered copper fitness. I walked in the door and knew this was the place to be. All the equipment is brand new. It's well light and inviting atmosphere. When I walk in the staff and trainers remember me by name. The friendly staff resonates in the patrons who are equally friendly. The gym has ever piece of equipment you could ever need for a workout and everything is brand new. I have absolutely no complaints about this fine establishment except for one. It's been almost two weeks now since their AC has gone out and it still hasn't been fixed nor has there been any sign that it will be. You would think in a state like Arizona the AC would be their top priority to get fixed. It's average 80° F+ in there and especially in a gym environment it's humid and disgusting. I'm almost at the point of canceling my membership and never coming back here until it's fixed. read more

Stopped by 3/30/16 to get information in regards to Silver Sneaker program. Spoke to an lively young woman, who gave me a card for a day pass, (which I've yet to use). Phone rang and was answered in 2nd ring. That's a plus for such a busy gym. I was a little confused in the Silver Sneaker program. I understood that I had to be a member in order to use the gym? And here comes the big but, My sister goes to a gym in Tucson and only had to sign up get a card and can use the facilities free. Yes, she has to pay a fee for classes. The free pass I have speaks of all the additional classes, Silver Sneakers is one of them?? I did inquire in regards to a pamphlet were everything is detailed out. Otherwise the wealth of information on the card is confusing. Next is the time of classes, 6am and 6pm. I'm barely rolling out of the bed by 6 and by 6pm I'm eating dinner. I mention that because I really like the Zumba. And I'd like to try the Yoga. Times are for working girls and boys. All reviews have been interesting and have helped. Nice to know children can't run around. That is a complete turn off for me. Yes you should be a family gym, but young children NOT supervised have no place around gym machines. I've lived in Green Valley and nearby for 30 years. So this gym is a plus. read more

I been a member of Copper Fitness since March 2015. I am also a Navy Wife. When I originally signed up, the owner ,Justin, knew that my husband is on deployment. I told him that I don't know if I should sign up for the contract ($30/m with contract, $45/m no contract) and the contract is suppose to be 12 months. He told me that if I give a valid reason for quitting before the 12 months are up, they will not penalize me. My valid reason is my husband is coming home and I am moving to San Diego, CA. When they charged me $60 for canceling, I explained my situation again. At first Justin wanted to make me a deal and give only $30 back. Are you kidding me? No, he made a deal with me at the beginning and now he is taking back his word? It went back and forth and he finally agreed to refund my $60, but this was 9 days ago and I still did not receive my refund. I called and another person picks up, I explain my situation to her and she gave me their email. So I emailed them my whole story, and the other owner told me that I need to prove my husbands deployment! For some stupid reason, my husband didn't receive new PCS orders (which is frustrating since a lot of things require PCS orders for the military) and yet they are asking me for them. Hes also telling me that I should of read the contract, but Justin agreed to my terms and now they are not giving a crap about my $60! So one owner agrees to refund my $60, and the other says that I should of read the contract more thoroughly and not refunding me! I'm so furious with Copper Fitness! I don't care that they are a small business, this is principle! The definition of principle is, "a fundamental truth or proposition that serves as the foundation for a system of belief or behavior or for a chain of reasoning". To be blunt, doing the right thing! I am so done with their games and how they run business! If Justin simply told me that they couldn't do that for me when I signed up back in March, then I wouldn't have signed up. Plus, Justin never told me that they need my husbands PCS orders on file, so how am I suppose to know? Justin never stopped talking for me to have time to read their contract! I was a member for a while. I found this gym to be very dirty and unsafe. The machines are not wiped down very often if at all. Sanitized only by some members not all after use. The carpet has been loose in the free weight area for quite some time. This of course is a tripping hazard for us whose sight is not good. This is a broken hip waiting to happen. The restrooms are not kept consistently clean, urine and paper on the floor. The employees are only courteous when you are paying them for extra training otherwise you don't exist and seem to be a bother. The free weights are allowed to be dropped on the floor which is a safety hazard to user and anyone around him. The owner just says "well it is a gym". This so called gym should be reported to the health and safety authorities. I can't give this gym a zero on this app would if I could. I am anxiously awaiting a decent and modern gym to come to our beautiful area until then I will workout at home and not waste my money. read more
