I have no dog in the fight other than giving the people who worked so hard to make our wedding amazing a fair and true review. The Vista was outstanding and no one out of the 120 other guests who attended had any issues getting drinks, believe me. Geoff and Tara were amazing and threw in extra perks the night of the wedding. I do agree with her that the food was great but do not believe her when she says it was 8:45 when it was served. You will see the reference of 'poor planning' by myself and bride in her review. If you don't want a beautiful setting, delicious food, prompt and attentive service, strong and plentiful drinks, and your guests to have an unforgettable time, this is not the venue for you! Her review was done the day after my wedding and I am disappointed that it's been over two years people have been reading it. The Vista was outstanding and I would recommend it to anyone looking to have an extremely fun and phenomenal wedding!

Jeff Fisette and Janelle were fantastic to work with. Jeff is the food and beverage manager and so kind and charismatic and Janelle was our day of coordinator and beyond sweet. Bailey was even accommodating and friendly to work with when she needed to step in. I couldn't do a five-star review because of the event director, Macey. We began working with Savanna, which is a big reason why we booked the venue after meeting with her. I don't know where to begin with Macey. I understand she was newish at the time and maybe even was going through some personal issues. She was not only unresponsive and annoyed that I contacted her more than a couple of times but on top of that very rude to both myself and my family. Countless items that we agreed upon in the beginning of planning did not come through, and we were charged for two items we didn't receive on wedding day. When setting up the room, three hours before the ceremony (we hired a day of coordinator to do this) she told my aunt, "Good luck" and walked away. The cherry on top was when she called me at 0900 the day after our wedding to tell us to come and get the décor items left from the night before. We had previously agreed that we could leave the items there until 1pm. Upon arriving I had asked Macey why this needed to be done right now, her response: "well, I need to use my office don't I". Macey does not care about you or your event, she just wants your payment and quantity trumps quality. I know there are labor shortages but Applewood really does need to hire an event coordinator with at least some experience that kind of likes people or at least pretends to care

It is a coffee spot that offers some food, beer, wine, and a kids playground made from junk. The atmosphere and ambiance is really cool with positive signage throughout the venue. Kids pay $12 to pay with adults asked to donate $5 to visit. You can also become a member but since I was just visiting I didn't check it out. Beverages and food seemed to be priced fairly but all we ordered was a coffee and a drink for my kid. I loved the areas for kids to play. The indoor area has arts and crafts as well as a little loft to climb up to. Outside the playground is huge. The slides are nice, there is a bus, a car, and a stage. My kid loved all the toys and different areas to play in. Clientele were nice and outgoing. Staff and service were okay.

We catered in our own food and served dinner to a group of 25 people. I cannot express how pleased I was/am with the Arvada Community Room. It was everything we needed and the cost was more than fair. The owners were amazing to work with, and they were easily accessible for communication. IF I had to find anything negative to say it is not about the Arvada Community Room itself, but more the City of Arvada and it's small amount of public parking in the area that they have built as a heavy entertainment area. Most of the parking is street parking and a small public parking lot that is usually pretty full. There is a parking garage about a block away that is easily accessible though. Again that is not a a dig on the Arvada Community Room but rather frustration with the city for their lack of planning.

While it is industrial space it was cozy and just the right size for our group of ~120. We live in Seattle so planning an event remotely can be challenging, but Rebecca made it very easy for us with her excellent communication and great recommendations for party rentals and bartenders. Day of the event we were able to gain access to the space with plenty of time to set up and be prepared for our guest. We had a Studio staff member on site during our event for any support we needed - she was great! Plenty of parking for guest and a quick Uber (10 min from our hotel). I highly recommend The Studio for an event. We would definitely consider it for another party.

One thing to keep in mind is that if you are doing a week day event, you cannot get in to do decorating until 4:30p since this is a place of work. It did make our start time of 6p a little tight. We had the event catered but used disposable/compostable products. The kitchen area is open and perfect for a buffet. We also arranged for a Sweet Cow ice cream truck to come for dessert, which was a big hit and fun way to end the evening. I would do another party there given the chance.

In the summer there are 2 pools that give the kids fun slides and plenty of Holiday events. There is a volleyball sand pit and 2 tennis courts. It's a resort that many are blessed to call home. If you like to work out, the Vista Ridge Community Center is a great way to start or finish your day! They have a full work out facility, weight room, yoga classes, strength classes and locker rooms. Outside, they offer a pool, tennis courts, a park and a sand volleyball court. They also offer two community rooms that are great for parties. One has a full kitchen and the other can be used for a meeting room as well. It is one of our favorite things about Vista Ridge. Courtney and George do an outstanding job.

It was so relaxing just to walk in and see all of them flying around. I also love that you can input data for the butterflies with stickers to help track them. My only suggestion would be to have more people walking around to monitor since I saw a few little kids try and hurt the butterflies, simply due to the kids being so young and not understanding how to be careful. I enjoyed the gift shop and the staff were very friendly. A lovely place to visit in the area!

Then we make our way to the tropical butterfly room. Where we spend 10 minutes at most because when we get there. He wants a snack but I know he knows the play area is next. It keeps my toddler busy for hours. And he leaves happy. Surprisingly a fun place for a toddler. I never knew he would be so interested in the bugs but he loves it. And asks to go back fairly often. I recommend it for sure. Especially for young children. You can end your time in the play area. They do close for about 15 minutes each day for a deep clean. I forget the time. Overall, a great place to go.

Aside from being great at his job, we witnessed him stopping people from trying to drive after drinking too much. He forced people to order and uber. He's a a young kid himself, this was incredible. He deserves a medal.
