We got married here in June 2022…read more Funny story, we had decided a wedding venue and then at the last minute before we signed our contract at the original venue. I had a gut feeling I needed to tour Bella Sera. We had already toured more than a handful and I had it narrowed down. But for some reason, I just wasn't completely ready to commit to the ones I had thought I wanted originally. We met with John for our initial tour. And my husband and I instantly fell in love with the venue. I don't know what it was. But it met all our needs. And what really sold us was that it was all inclusive and we didn't have to worry about decor or setting up. From every meeting from initial meeting to our final meeting. Everyone who we met with was so kind and helpful. I had so much fun at our design meeting where we got to pick the decor and table centers. We had a few decorations to add and we dropped them off at our rehearsal so the event team could set it up for us. When it came to the day of our wedding, everything looked so beautiful. I was so happy to see how beautifully everything came together. I was definitely one happy bride. The evening went so smoothly! And I have ZERO complaints. Such a beautiful wedding. And I am so happy last minute, we decided to tour Bella Sera. I highly recommend them for your wedding. They honestly made the wedding planning process so easy!

She was super rude and very impatient during the meeting. Day of the wedding she was very rude to all the bridesmaids, groomsmen and family so just about anyone who was closely involved. All our flowers that we brought were thrown away. Center pieces that we had arranged were not put out fully. Late night snacks were not put out. She couldn't be bothered to hold a proper conversation and made it very clear she wasn't gonna be bothered with our concerns. So hundreds of dollars wasted by one individual. Reached out about the situation and was ultimately blown off. On paper should have been amazing and put in a lot of work for this. at the last minute was put in shambles. Make sure you know who your working with so your best interest are put first.

Waited in line for food/drinks for about 45 minutes only to find out they were ONLY taking cash and no sign stating this to forewarn people waiting. At the end of the night, it took two hours and 4 canceled Ubers because the place was complete chaos. The people directing traffic didn't even know where to direct us to find our ride. The Uber couldn't find us because most roads were blocked off so we had to walk about a mile to find him.

We found an empty court and began a simple singles game--nothing disruptive, just enjoying the space that was clearly available. The courts are first come first serve per the Thornton Rec Center Employees and website. Moments later, an older woman came over and rudely told us that singles play wasn't allowed and we needed to play doubles. Not only was her tone unnecessarily harsh, but she insisted it was a "rule," despite there being no signage or clear policy anywhere stating that singles games were prohibited. If there is an empty court, people should be able to play how they want. The courts are supposed to be first come, first serve, but it seems like a group of older regulars have taken it upon themselves to control who plays, how, and when. It felt more like we were intruding on their private club than participating in a community activity at a public facility. We're all for shared use and following actual posted rules, but this kind of gatekeeping is exactly what drives new players and younger participants away. It was a really disappointing and unwelcoming experience. They need to make it so these courts are reserved. Otherwise the other facilities are great! There is tennis courts, bocce ball , a splash pad, horseshoe pits and great walking paths.

Within walking distance/walkable: A walking trail to a nearby park, a Mexican resturaunt, Arby's, Sonic. Within easy driving distance: Most of Brighton! But there's a Walmart and Wendy's right across the highway. Brighton is a lovely corner of the Denver area, and this was a perfect spot to stay. Reccomend!
