This haircut took an hour we showed up at 9:30 it wasn't too busy. Do not go here I know they do a cheap haircut for military but the quality is awful. I did leave a message and try to contact the place to see if someone could fix my fiancés hair but got no response. Rude staff threatened to charge me for two haircuts. I asked for some off the top so it'll match my sides. She buzzed the entire top with the same size guard all over. I swear she used no brain cells when she thought about this cut. The guard was shorter than my sides and it gave me a mullet!! Then I asked for a fade to correct the mullet and her fade sucked. The fade made my hair look light bulb shaped! I asked her to make my sides flatter but instead she got frustrated and threatened to charge me for two haircuts! read more

First time here was really awesome. I had the barber Isaac who had 14 years experience in Camp Pendleton and another 6 in Miramar. He's semi retired so he is just working here 3 times a week. Price point can't be beat. Just 6 dollars for a high reg and touch up on top. There was pretty much 0 wait time as I went on a Monday and it is 7 minutes walk from my house. I have been going here since before I can remember. Literally. I think it was back in '92 or so when my family moved here from Virgina. I needed the booster seat back then. Now, they have to drop the chairs all the way down and ask me to slouch. As mentioned, ask for Sherman. Aside from the few years in Japan, and the few times I miss him when he is not working. Definatly not a quality place. If you want a 5 second haircut that looks like it took 5 seconds and you love the back inside of your shirt full of hair then this is the place to go. I was looking for an improvement from where I had been going and tried this place. A short Asian lady cut my hair. Now maybe the rest of the barbers are better but she gave me the worst service ever. After trying all the corporate franchises in town and paying way too much money for 3 boys haircuts someone told me about Copperwood barbershop! Shelia and the staff are like family these days our boys love their barbers and call us by name! It really has an old school touch that's missing these days if you ask my opinion. Worst hair cuts in the entire county. Bad service. Would recommend this place to anyone looking for even a half decent haircut.

This is one of the worst haircuts Iv ever had in my life. All I asked was for a simple shoulder length cut. No layers, nothing else, just a simple cut. My hair turned out horrible. It wasn't even straight. The BARE minimum of a haircut is that it's supposed to be straight yet thanks to Margarita it now looks like a wonky staircase from a Doctor Seuss book. It's not even a good price deal, it was $20 for that horrible haircut. One side of my hair was literally one inch longer than the other and in the back it was all crooked. Once my hair had dried and I realized how horrible it looked I asked my mother to fix it. Somehow she managed to do a better job and she doesn't cut hair for a living. Now I'm going to have to wait months for my hair to grow back. DONT go to this place unless u want an overpriced horrible haircut. read more

Worst haircut ever. I walked in for my regular Sunday haircut and asked the gentleman for a low fade and he completely just put a straight line into my head and told me it was fine. When I questioned him about why my haircut looked like I tried doing it in the mirror he told me he had been doing this for a long time. I then refused to pay and he then assused me of not having money to pay for the haircut. Great place to get a haircut, been going to this barbershop for about three years. Awesome haircut for a good price, maybe the lowest price near Camp Pendleton. I always try to get a haircut from Ms. Sheila, she does excellent haircuts, but when its busy specially when there's a lot of military personnel getting their weekly haircut almost everyone of the barbers there does a great job. This has been my go to place for 3 years. I've never had a problem here and the barbers are incredibly friendly.

Got my first haircut from Sherman as a child, and over 20 yrs later he still cuts my hair. I've tried other barber shops, but it's just not the same. I've never seen anyone else cut hair with just a steel comb and clippers the way Sherman does: quick, clean, and affordable. Since moving away from Oceanside, I now make the drive from La Jolla up to the Copperwood Barber Shop to get my haircut--totally worth the drive to get your haircut exaclty the way you want it. I always call before hand to see if Sherman is working, but you can usually find him there on Mondays and Fridays. read more

$6.00 for seniors. Always ask for Sherman. He's a legend. Used to cut the Everly Brothers hair way back when they were in the Marines.

I only trust one barber here and he always cuts my hair on point and they have military discount so that's a plus, I definitely recommend.

Love it, best haircuts in town. Been going here for many years.
