I've been here several times now, and every experience has been genuinely great, which is honestly rare in the nail salon world. Heidi has done beautiful work for me, and most recently Mia absolutely "nailed it". Not only did she do an amazing job with incredible attention to detail, but she was also such a kind, warm soul. Chloe is the lovely who handles the bookings/front desk, she is always so incredibly sweet and welcoming. As someone who loves nail art, I decided to go out of my way and give them a try. Unfortunately, my experience was extremely disappointing. I went in for a simple polish change and nail shaping, but was persuaded to get a fill instead. During the service, I asked the technician to lower the speed of the electric file because it was hurting my nail bed, and I requested a round shape since oval or almond didn't seem to be an option. Rather than accommodating these basic requests, the technician refused to continue, stating that "her power and mine wouldn't match." The owner later suggested it may have been a language barrier, but even after understanding my concerns, she said she couldn't make the technician complete the service. This was after a significant amount of product had already been removed from three of my nails. I even offered to have everything removed and let another technician finish with a simple manicure, but that was also unsuccessful. To make matters worse, I was told that this technician was the only one who works with that product and that I should consider going to their "sister" location. At that point, I chose to leave, feeling frustrated and disrespected. What concerns me most is the reasoning behind the refusal. The owner stated I appeared scary when I walked in. All in all, I can't help but question whether it was due to me advocating for my comfort and service preferences--or something more (as in race and stature). As a professional and educator, I simply expect to be treated with care and respect as a paying customer. This was one of the worst salon experiences I've had. I would not recommend this business. There are many other salons that  value their clients--save your time and go elsewhere.
