These guys truly are TOP NOTCH. This is a man's barber shop but very kid friendly too. Anthony and Ernie are great! The shop has to overstuffed leather recliner chairs IF you have to wait. Damn bro. For me it is always hard to go to a new barbershop because you're going into the unknown and they might mess up the cut. After reading the reviews on Yelp I decided to get a haircut here and I would never come back. The barber that cut my hair sat on the 2nd chair on the left side of the barbershop. I sat on the chair around 1:14PM and he finished around 1:32PM. When I showered I saw all the imperfections of the haircut and really saw what a horrible barber this person was. The blend was not there and he made me look like a friar and that is not cool. The barbers that do have some talent are at the ends but other than that watch out, make sure you triple check your cut and make them spend an additional 20 minutes fading you up because they want to get you out of their chair as soon as possible. I gotta get another cut now at a real barbershop because of this mess...thanks. read more

Hi Nacho, To be honest I'm pretty disappointed in your response. We were really well aware that this was a walk in shop. My husband and Art spoke about that the visit before last. So we waited for Art. I honestly don't know how you know about our conversation about seeking another barbershop seeing that we were seated quite far. If you got that off your cctv, then you got yourself a good system. I know you have to take your barbers side because you guys are a small business, you guys are friends, and because frankly you can't take the bad reviews. But I know for a fact that everyone was confused in that shop as to what was happening. All 4 of you guys in there. You didn't even know what happened. Art who was right next to where we were, the atm, didn't even hear it and asked me what happened. He found a solution and helped us out. We explained it to you and you admitted to him being in the wrong and you'd talk to him. Your employees and their behaviors are a representation of you. A friend recommended a barber shop and so we were looking at their reviews and their photos and basically comparing your barber to theirs. Now about your barber, I'm well aware of how the cut started off. I don't think that your barber took it to much offense since he laughed. I know my son was going to give a hard time and prepared him for it. He did start crying before the haircut because he just wasn't comfortable. If it was going to be a problem for your barber he could've opted out which would of been fine. As a parent yourself, if someone disrespected you or your family you would confront them. My husband got upset that your barber had a lot to say but didn't stop to talk about it and ran around your shop and the restaurant and came out back and hid in the bathroom. Can't believe I haven't wrote a review on this place! I have been taking my boys here since they were teens. Now they are men. I have a son who is autistic and sometimes socially timid. A barbershop is a mans domain, a place to talk. I'm not comfortable just dropping him, so I go in and wait and try to blend in with the couches. LET THE BOYS BE BOYS. I always worry about giving him his space, and the barbers asking him what kind of haircut he would like. Sometimes I jump in and let them know. But Oscar has got it down and is getting better at it. The barbers are really good to him, I haven't had an uncomfortable situation. And one time a barber gave him the King's treatment. It was so nice! With so many choices of barbers in Oceanside I would think customer service would be a main staple here. One Tuesday I came in to the shop not open yet so I waited and someone came in. Two of us were waiting so he took the first gentlemen, I got the second spot but by that time it was forty five minutes in. the owner took the next customer which he gave that cut for free for the wait but the third barber comes in and takes his time. Five people were waiting on the couch and his home boy comes in to get first dibs. The shop owner doesn't say anything but after that I felt like the give guys behind in line for robbed. Anyways I put up with their five dollar increase bringing it up to 17 for a cut wow WTF bro when down the street another two shops ask for seven dollars less.
