I wouldn't buy anything here. They don't even make the doughnuts in house. They're shipped in by box truck every morning. We used to buy a few boxes every morning and take them to an assisted living home, and one morning the roads were bad and I sat for 30 minutes waiting for the "fresh (made in Claire) Doughnuts" if you want an amazing killer doughnut, hit Conley's, it's a drive but they are worth it. read more

Cops & Doughnuts - Central Precinct is a nice bakery with a large selection of donuts. We opted for the Vanilla Frosted Persings (a favorite) and really enjoyed these. The dough was fluffy and not dry. There was a perfect amount of cinnamon swirled into the dough, and the vanilla frosting was creamy and smooth. These donuts were DELICIOUS. The concept of Cops & Doughnuts is fun. The prices are affordable, the doughnut selection is large, ample parking at this location, and the staff was useful and friendly. Overall, a nice chain bakery that is worlds better than anything we have in the area where I live. I would highly recommend a visit to Cops & Doughnuts - Central Precinct if you're road-tripping through the area. read more

I bought some donuts there at 5:am a few day old and a few from the case. I asked when were the donuts made, and they said the day before in Clare. then brought to this store, so you pay full price for day old donuts and the day old one's are like 2 days old. Disappointed. Not worth it. read more

HEADS UP!! SO DISCOURAGING...this concept has so much potential ...sadly it ends at "just a good concept." Love the idea & the cool props (uniforms & furnishings) "albeit" let the TRUTH be KNOWN ...these "so called" doughnuts have to be the "WORST" of "ALL" time :( HORRIBLE!! Pro's: The staff was very friendly & helpful! The concept is pretty cool! The interior furnishings affords a new break from the typical same old donut shop...which is never a bad thing. Unfortunately that's all she wrote ........ :( Con's: The "main" subject should be "THE DOUGHNUTS" and they are "not" worthy of the calories. The apple fritter was DRY & TASTELESS, no crispiness on the outer dough or crunch whatsoever ...it had ZERO texture. :( The filling lagged everything ...this fritter was so bad I trashed it :/ The cinnamon roll was completely void of cinnamon, how does that happen? The employee was kind enough to heat it up for me & it still it did not help :/ sooo tasteless and SUPER dry! A great concept "should not" be the "be all & end all"...the execution of the "actual" subject in this case the doughnuts should be the focus, apparently not at Cops & Doughnuts." *Point of attn: "IF" you've experienced "amazing" doughnuts C&D's will fall very short. This is a great donut shop. It's local and has a wide variety of delicious pastries! When I was there I met the manager, Logan, he was the kindest man. He talked to me about his day and asked if mine, he brought a smile in my face that you could see though my mask. If you want a cup of coffee, a delicious donut, and a great person to talk to, come here! Whenever I return to Michigan I am sure to come back! read more

Oh my goodness. Best. Doughnuts. Ever!!! Silly, creative, and delicious. Literally there was not one single item in the display case that did not look mouth-watering, and I had to practice extreme self-control to not buy one of everything. My husband had a glazed doughnut with chocolate frosting and he said it was the best he had ever had in his life! My aunt had a sugar cookie and I didn't get to try any because even though she meant to share, she couldn't help but eat the whole thing. My own doughnut was an apple fritter and it was wonderful. Honestly I would come back to visit Michigan JUST to come back here!! (Oh, and also the employee was super friendly and they have amazing t-shirts for sale here.) They do have a party room for birthday parties, and next year I'll be 32. I'm keeping this place in mind! ;) read more

Ok so let me start by saying I love cops and doughnuts- I used to drive to Clare for them and love that there's one in Mt. P now. HOWEVER I have something on my mind that's been bothering me. I think the existing signage is a poor advertising decision. All people see from the road is "CENTRAL PRECINCT", not the small c&d logo next to it. I feel like people who don't already know it's there think it's a police branch, not a doughnut shop. I realize money was just put into the signage but I definitely think if more people realized it was a bakery (a well-known, highly regarded one at that) the location would get more business. If it were up to me, I'd fix that asap before an avoidable lack of business forces the location to close. Just my opinion! read more

The doughnuts are delicious and they are unique. Cops and donuts also has coffee merchandise.

I teared up when I walked in through the doors, I was literally grinning ear to ear in joy. Sadly my mask covered my emotion but wow it was delicious. Customer service was outstanding, will be coming back that's for sure. The donuts were well presented and delicious, great amount of fluff and frosting. read more
