I had received a recommendation to send my work here via another printing shop, mainly because they could get big print jobs done in a short amount of time. My 5 star rating is really attributed to Darrell, who was the only person I communicated with and he delivered with stellar results in timely fashion. Darrell was professional and super cordial on the phone and was quick to explain their prices, the process and the estimated print time. After a quick email with my printing attachments, he was able to call me back and give me a realistic timeline for my print job. In less than 24 hours, he was able to produce several high quality print jobs on foam board (36x24) and charged me $60 each. While I'm aware they're not cheap, they're not nearly as expensive as any print job I dealt with back in NYC. (#1) Plus, the work was again, outstanding. While I used them for boards / posters, I know they can handle far more complicated print projects. Their services also include business cards, marketing brochures, books / booklets, maps, blueprints, charts, menus, t-shirts, and even laminations. I wouldn't hesitate to use their services again. If you're looking to print your own invitations somewhere, stop calling around and go to Copy Doctor! I called/visited so many places trying to just get a heavy weight paper, double sided with full color and a quick turnaround, I was SHOCKED at how hard that was to find. Called these guys this afternoon, explained what I was looking for, and picked them up same day, cut and ready to go for much less than I was expecting to pay. If you're looking to do invitations, ask for the 130lb gloss card stock, it's perfect! Will be back for sure. read more

Was a repeat customer for 5 years. Never again. Huge waste of time and money. Ordered business cards online night before, paid extra for same-day pickup. They didn't even start my order until I came in at 4pm. Chewed me out for ordering different types of paper. Staff was rude and short with everyone. Yelled at a customer on the phone while I was waiting. Should have been a quick in and out, instead ended up spending an hour, not getting the cards, and was late to work (empty handed). Horrible experience! Stopped here bc it was near where I was when I googled "copies/ scans near me" I needed 52 copies and scans of the copies. The guy told me to go buy a scanner!!!! I was shocked. He said it is $5.00 per scan and 25 cents per copy. He said it's cheaper to go buy a scanner! I said I did not have time for that. I repeated, $5.00 to scan a document AND 25 cents a copy? I told him copies every place else are 7-10 cents. I told him FedEx(Kinkos) is a dime a copy and 25 cents for copy AND scan together. I told him UPS is similar. He just shrugged and said "go there." I have used UPS on Bissonnet and FedEx in Rice Village. Both are fast, courteous and helpful. Postnet on Bissonnet is excellent as well. They charge 10 cents for copies and 25 cents for scans. Libraries are another option. Copy Doctor is awful. read more

I had a great service experience with these folks, including an interaction with the owner, Luis. Great guy and it feels good to support a local business. Stark contrast between working with these guys and, say, Fedex-Kinkos. They can handle anything from traditional small print jobs to architectural plans and retail signage. Highly, highly, highly recommend! I called 15 minutes before closing with an emergency print job that had to be ready for pickup by 8:00 a.m. the following morning. Darryl not only helped me with my order, he stayed beyond time and made several follow-up calls to ensure I got exactly what I needed. Based on the positive reviews, I had high hopes for Copy Doctor. The only reason I'm not giving a one-star review is because the quality of the one item I ordered is good. Not only are their prices high, but the customer service I received from Brandon was TERRIBLE. Not only was he condescending while I explained my printing needs, but he acted like I was wasting his time. He acted this way both when I placed the order and when I came back the following day to pick up the finished product. I canceled half my order and went to a competitor where I was treated like a valued customer and not a nuisance. I live right across the street from this place and I always come here the for a quick scan or print. The workers are helpful and the printing is cheap! I'm glad I don't have to drive all the way to Fed Ex for a quick print. They're more expensive anyways. read more

I needed some things printed for a baby shower, about 30 and decided to try here based on a good yelp review. First impressions say a lot about a business. I tried here but ultimately went elsewhere and payed a little more for much better customer service. I'm glad I did and this is why. I walked in the door; everyone was intently working, a couple people looked up as we walked in. I walked around trying to figure out if I was supposed to use the self service computer and printer which would have worked except you have to pay to use the computer plus prints. After about 5 minutes I gave up and started walking out at which point someone finally decided to offer some customer service. This business, in my humble opinion and as based on their website, caters to larger clients with big orders who use their website and email to communicate. It's not so much for an average person needing a less high profile job. *Yes, I realize they won't miss out by losing 1 customer but I hope this is helpful to someone. read more

I LOVE Copy Doctor! I've gone to them twice for large batch jobs of wedding save-the-dates and invitations. I had them print 100 copies of 5 different color cards of various sizes, most double-sided, and everything was printed and cut beautifully! I had even forgotten to allow my background images to bleed past the document margins, but they still cut them perfectly. There were no white edges left that had to be cut-off. Although my printing needs have been limited, I have used Copy Dr three times. Each time the customer service has been outstanding - prompt and reasonbly priced. The most recent time I used them I had to make a change after the proofs were approved. They made the change and got the order out as scheduled. The personnel are uniformly polite and friendly.
