My daughter wanted to design a t-shirt and - not knowing anything about how to do this - I just googled "montreal t-shirt printing". Several options popped up but In Print seemed like a particularly high quality place. I emailed the shop and explained my daughter's ambition (and my absolute lack of knowledge regarding what I was doing) and the owner, Alex, responded to me in such a genuinely nice manner and offered to guide us through the process. It was such a touching level of customer care. We did some back and forth in terms of my daughter's design and he helped us figure out "what would work" given their printing process (and he took the time to explain everything to us in a simple manner). Then, we visited his shop (before the shirts were printed) so that my daughter could SEE how the process works. Alex and his crew were so generous in showing her around and they even let her do a tiny bit of one task (cleaning a "printing tray" once a design run is finished - I'm sure that I'm butchering terminology here). My daughter felt so good and so encouraged by this. Finally, we ordered a batch shirts (which my daughter will be selling for charity). That part of the transaction went super smoothly and In Print even was able to get our favorite shirt brand for printing (Bella & Canvas). Every step of the experience was amazing and I simply can't believe how amazing Alex and the In Print team were. They kept overdelivering in a very caring manner. They seem annoyed to be working there, did not care for details, kept talking rudely to me and when I pointed at the differences in the designs, they tried to gaslight me saying that they were the same when they were very clearly not. I really suggest to anyone trying to do custom pieces to look for another place, you will not get what you asked for but also have a pretty nasty customer experience meanwhile.

The guy making the shirts (I think he was the owner) spoke Spanish and German on top of French and English... **mind blown** He was super nice, as was his assistant. They have a little changing area if you want to try on any of the clothing items. They also have a discount bin of "practice shirts." These are shirts that aren't exactly what they wanted them to look like but still look great! The shirts are 100% cotton and pre-shrunk, but mine still shrunk a little after the first wash. I went a size up and now it fits perfectly!

Some of the places that came up on Yelp or Google (or Gemini) had terrible reviews. The ones with decent reviews were not able to rush an order in less than a week. There were a few places that could do a rush job but only on a super limited selection of shirts that didn't meet my needs. Feeling a bit desperate and out of options, I started checking local shops in town and in nearby towns and that's when I came across this shop in Montreal that had exactly one Yelp review, from literally 7 years ago. It was a 5 star review from an established Yelper though, so I figured I'd at least try their UI to see if it would let me do my desired design and to place a rush order. Their website wasn't quite as fancy as some others' (including one that rhymed with "coastal plain") but I was able to design and approve two shirts for a rush order, on the spot, at like midnight. The price was "high but not obscene" given the small quantity and rush status. The checkout said "two to three days for delivery" and I think the order arrived in 1.5 days... with designs that actually looked like they did on-screen. Perhaps the printing was a bit larger than expected on the shirt. I have no idea if they're this good all the time or if there are others that can provide a service like this but I had a great experience and would order from them again in a heartbeat.
