We had a very disappointing experience with Corbeil Appliances. My parents purchased a stove in August after clearly telling the salesperson they wanted a simple, easy to use model with no convection or extra features. They were explicitly trying to avoid anything complicated. What they were sold is the exact opposite. The stove has convection and multiple advanced features they never wanted. Worse, the knobs are extremely difficult to read, making it hard to tell which burner is on or what temperature is set. For older users, this makes the stove frustrating at best and unsafe at worst. As a result, my parents can barely use the appliance they paid for. This feels like a clear case of being sold something that did not match their stated needs. We are now left trying to resolve an issue that should never have happened. I would strongly recommend being very cautious, clearly documenting what you ask for, and double checking the exact model before purchasing. read more

Overall, we are very pleased with the service that we received in store and with the Corbeil delivery team. We purchased three SAMSUNG units - one of which was the SAMSUNG Over The Range (OTR) microwave (Model ME11A7710DS). We received the delivery in NOV 2025 and we installed the OTR later in December as we were doing a kitchen reno. Our problem with the OTR is that the function panel is not clearly visible despite it being a "Back Lit" screen. The panel is black and the function panel is a very dark grey - almost invisible. We thought that there was a protective covering over the display panel - there was not. We contacted Corbeil and their return/exchange policy is seven days. We called SAMSUNG and they have a fourteen-day return/exchange policy so we are not able to exchange the OTR for a better model. We checked other reviews on this model (see Best Buy). All complaints are the same - the display panel is poor. In my opinion, it is also not safe as the keypad and prompts are not visible. I purchased a stackable washer and dryer. I was told the delivery crew do not do installation or uninstall my old machines so I ensured the old machines were disconnected and arranged for someone to help me hook up the new ones. When the delivery team arrived, I was informed that they would not be stacking my machines. That a special stacking kit was required for this and that I need to hire my own installers for this. When I followed up with the Store Manager, he told me the onus is on the customer to ask the right questions?! Shouldn't I have been told about the need for this stacking kit and that I would need to hire separate installers? I might have made a different decision had I known it was more complicated. Now I'm stuck - there is no way my son and I can lift the machine and I don't have a clue about this stacking kit thing. I felt confident that I would be in good hands with experienced salespeople when I chose Corbeil. Misleading Sales Tactics, Poor Product Quality, and Unresponsive Customer Service at Corbeil Appliances I have been a loyal Corbeil Appliances customer for over 30 years, but after this experience, I will never return. I purchased a high-end Asko washer and dryer set from Corbeil Appliances based on the sales representative's repeated claims that it was "the best in the world" and would last at least 15 years. This was a major investment, and I trusted their recommendation - big mistake. This was clearly not true. On April 26th, 2025, the units were delivered to my house dirty and scratched, which was shocking for new appliances. The first service call wasn't for performance issues, but to have someone come buff the scratches from the fronts of both machines. Soon after, I noticed the washer was damaging clothing--already three pieces ruined. I booked a second service call to address this. The technician inspected it and told me this is just how the machine works, and once again said it was "the best in the world." No solution, just more sales talk. And now? After about only 20 uses, the door latch broke and the washer is completely unusable. This is supposed to be a premium product! I asked to return the appliances and am even willing to pay a 25% restocking fee, just to be done with it. Corbeil has given me no clear answer, and keeps stalling, while suggesting the answer will probably be no. To make matters worse, the user interface is terrible -- confusing, poorly designed, and frustrating to operate. This experience has been frustrating, disappointing, and costly. I feel misled by the original sales pitch, underserved by their support team, and ignored in my attempts to find a fair solution. I am requesting that the store accept a return of the defective appliances and issue a refund (with the restocking fee if necessary). I've been a loyal Corbeil Appliances customer for over 30 years, and I never thought I'd be writing a review like this -- but after this experience, I will never buy from Corbeil again. If you value your time, money, and your clothes, stay away from this store. They're quick to sell you a "top-of-the-line" product, but disappear when problems start. I would have preferred to rate them with 0 stars instead of the 1 star I've given. I recently bought a new refrigerator from Corbeil, and their in-house movers turned out to be severely unprepared. They caused significant damage as they transported the appliance to my kitchen, resulting in holes in my walls, broken wooden railings, and extensive scratches on my newly-installed hardwood floor. Trying to reach the English speaking store on Iris Street in Ottawa is impossible. The French speaking associate, who was the only person I could reach, spoke French only, and was rude and ignorant in tone and hung up on me because i couldn't speak French. I am trying to follow up on a credit they owe me, and have been completely unsuccessful in doing so by phone. Looks like my only option is to drive all the way to their store, which is over an hour from where I live. I will never deal with these people again. I have finally given up on trying to get an English speaking person on the phone....have been trying now for 2 days. I live in Ontario, not Quebec. Purchased our stove washer and dryer from there years ago and were very satisfied. Always did the equal billing no interest. Went last year to buy a dishwasher. Told they now had a delivery fee. Said forget it we will pick it up. We have a docking fee. Who charges for me to pick up something I am buying!! It was cheaper to have it delivered. Signed up for the new financing through Fairstone!! Worst mistake ever. Was told equal billing no interest. Was not told it had to paid in a year. I would not have paid 25$ a month if that were the case I would have paid more to ensure it was paid off. I didn't set it up that way either that is what was my billing amount. Low and behold 1 year later boom 250$ interest added to my bill. Oh and they charged me a membership fee as well of 40$. Will never return to Corbeil. read more

They're friendly at time of purchase and they are accommodating with rescheduling the delivery date. At time of purchase I was told if I buy from the same brand I will get a bundling rebate ($ off each appliance in that brand) -- which I did, but when I reached out to change my model (still the same brand), they revoked all promised bundling rebates for the other appliances despite it all being the same brand and no changes were made to the other appliances. Communication seems dishonest and there is a lack of transparency on when rebates apply/get revoked. It feels as if they punish the customer if they choose to downgrade the appliances. I would not recommend them due to the lack of transparency in their sales. read more

If I could give it zero stars I would....for the delivery men. They were absolutely non respectful of the customer property. It was move in day into the new house. They delivered appliances on a very rainy day in a new construction housing development. Their footwear was very wet and muddy which they didn't have little booties to put over your shoes or boots....this is something that responsible delivery people would do. They walked up the carpeted stairs along with the dirt and mud from the outside leaving the carpet full of dirt and mud on the stairs. The stairs now needing to be professionally cleaned.When they were addressed about it, they said that they don't understand English. They were just being ignorant frenchmen. I don't recommend Corbeil, they smooth talk you when selling but the delivery care is a totally different experience.When calling the store to get compensation (pay to have carpet cleaned) they only offered $50 cash or $100 store credit. GE did come and fix the door of the dishwasher but we have a good memory. We have updated most of our appliances since Corbeil pulled the fast one on us. We do not let the delivery persons leave until we have given the item a good inspection before we sign off - lesson learned. We bought our other appliances from their competitor and were far more pleased with the service. In addition to our inspection, the delivery guy also inspected the appliance. I am happy to report that we have not spent one red cent in a Corbeil store since they stiffed us. I cannot believe they are still in business. read more

This is a horrendous company to deal with. They took 3 months to deliver a fridge that was supposed to take 2 months (max) to deliver. It was over 1 month after the date they promised. They even told me it would be closer to 4 weeks but was delivered in 12 WEEKS! imagine. It having a fridge for that amount of time. Nightmare to deal with! They make excuses, they do very little to help you out. In the end hey gave me a crappy "loaner" fridge for the last week but that made very little difference. Also be warned their delivery windows are an entire day. So be prepared to take a day off work in order to have something delivered. Recently, our 16 year old refrigerator decided that it had had enough and stopped keeping our food cold, so we had to replace it. Due to the configuration of our kitchen we were limited in the sizes and styles that we could chose. We found a Fridgidaire model that we liked. We comparison shopped online and all the major retailers were selling it for essentially the same price (give or take $10 at most). So it came down to the cost of delivery and the cost of removing the old fridge. Corbeil won out because in this situation you can't really do any better than free. Yes, the will deliver your new appliance to your house for free and they will take away your old appliance for free. And by that I mean they put it in their truck and drive away with it. Not they bring it to your curb and leave it there (which is what happened to my parents when they purchased with another retailer who said they would "take away" their old appliance). So when we walked into Corbeil we looked around a bit and looked for the model we wanted. They didn't have it in the stainless steel that we wanted, but had it in white. So we were at least able to look at the size, the shelving inside, etc. A salesperson asked us if anyone was helping us and when we said no, he helped us. It was a quick and easy sale for him because we knew exactly what we wanted (not only did I have the model number, I even had the Corbeil product code). He said they didn't have what we wanted in stock but it could be delivered to the store in a week. We were instructed to call the store on the day it was supposed to arrive there and set up the delivery to our house. He put in writing that they were to remove the old fridge and they were to call 1 hour prior to delivering. They don't give you an exact time unfortunately, they say delivery will be between 7am and 5pm - so you either have to hang around at home until they come, or if you are going to be out, you need to be able to get home within an hour (once they call you). On the date that I was instructed to call them, I called and set up the delivery easy-peasy. On the date of delivery, they called me 30 minutes before they were going to arrive. No big deal for me because I was sitting at home waiting for them. The delivery guys were super nice and very efficient. They had to unhinged our front door and put it back on its hinge afterwards. They did it quickly and so our house did not get freezing cold, haha. They instructed me to let the fridge settle for 2 hours before plugging it in. The fridge arrived in good condition. They took away our old fridge. So far so good. I'll update if there is an issue with our new fridge and let you know how they handle it. Hopefully this will not be necessary though. The store itself is big and bright. It's in the strip mall with Ikea, Terra20 and Sears Home. Lots of free parking. read more

In the middle of a kitchen reno so everything is being replaced, what a great time to upgrade the appliances :) we looked everywhere, sears home store, future shop, the brick etc. and lastly ended up at Corbeil, i had heard good things and they sell WOLF, Sub Zero etc. so hey certainly some eye candy. i got poo pooed on gas stove....boooo....but i did get my 36" wide Samsung counter depth fridge with the water and ice anyway, the pricing was pretty much the same everywhere but the sales rep really seemed to know his stuff and wasn't pushing us toward the house brand (Sears, Kenmore), we ended up going with 3 different brands to get the best of each type - Samsung, Bosch, and Kitchen Aid. We weren't thrilled with the hood fan selection so we opted for Universal Appliance for that one...Cha Ching, but it's beautiful. read more

Corbeil on Iris in Ottawa has been a terrible experience. In 2012 we had the circumstance or ordering and paying for an appliance (LG washer and dryer) and then having a Samsung delivered instead. We were advised by their staff that this was in our favour as Samsung was a preferred model. Needless to say we had nothing but problems and a run around to get anything attended to and fixed with the extended warranty. Fast forward 2020: I am now waiting for a Whirlpool gas dryer. This was purchased and stock was to be secured however for no known reason this stock was not available when I went in to decipher a delivery date. I am now waiting with no known date on when this will be in stock (waiting since August 4th 2020) . I can appreciate COVID has had an impact but this stock was available and a deposit secured, but mysteriously disappeared with no accountability and no real explanation. I have had lack of follow up in arriving at a solution. David our sales person and manager Jay keep pointing the finger back and fourth with no real accountability or solution to date. Fool me once, shame on you Fool me twice, shame on me I will not shop at Corbeil again. I would rather pay than deal with this place again. read more

Don't waste your time or money trying to deal with Corbeil during the pandemic. If you're desperate for a new appliance (fridge in my case), they really make you think they will accommodate you. I was so grateful, especially as 2 healthcare workers living over here, we really needed this to be fast and efficient......but instead the delivery guys were so unprofessional, broke apart my old fridge, broke the cabinet next to the fridge, then complained the fridge was too tight AFTER making a huge mess, and left without taking my old fridge or assembling the new fridge. I gave Corbeil every chance to rectify the situation, but when they called, they not only didn't apologize, they told me I had been screwed over by the contractor who I begged to come and install the fridge for me. read more

This horrible business gets one star, only because zero star is not an option. PRO: The location is conveniently situated beside Ikea. CONs: This business is a "dealer" and will NOT stand behind their products and provide the normal customer service you would expect from a big box store. If you have an issue they are not helpful at all. They are extremely stubborn and will try to get your out of their store ASAP. They will force you to communicate with the manufacturer (in this case it was General Electric [GE] Washing Machine). Please do not underestimate what a nuisance & frustrating time-drain this will be!!! Our issue took more than 13 weeks of frustrating communication. Finally we resorted to filing a dispute with the credit card company. We also told them if they don't resolve the issue there will be honest reviews written on Yelp etc. After a huge amount of time wasted on the phone with Corbeil & GE, many e-mails, in-store visits, and threatening legal action --we finally got a partial refund. After all the hassle, we thought the least they could do would be to not charge us for picking up their item. However they charged us to haul away their defective item which NEVER worked properly even one time. At that point we just wanted closure and not have to deal with their shady business tactics any more. Our ordeal included reprogram (failed), replace control board (failed), attempt reprogram (failed), service call (cancelled because no parts), service call (cancelled AGAIN because no parts). During this time we did not have an appliance to use. We were treated like WE were the problem and an interruption to their day. In addition it was difficult to try to narrow down the time frame for their service calls. Be prepared for someone to stay home the entire day to accommodate their schedule. Do not just walk away from this business, RUN! If you purchase from this company, make sure you read all the fine print. Know what you are getting into. Keep track of all your receipts, invoices, phone calls etc. If you have a problem, you should expect virtually no customer support from Corbeil. They will divert you away to deal directly with the manufacturer. Dealing with the manufacturer consists of many phone calls and lots of time wasted on hold. In the meantime, don't expect to use the shiny new appliance you thought you would get to enjoy. If you are thinking about ordering an item, it won't hurt to check it out first at Corbeil. They have a large inventory but DEFINITELY PURCHASE ELSEWHERE!!!!!!! read more

Purchased a GE range on September 14th and within days notified GE that the proof feature didn't work. They sent a repairman 3 times and have been unable to fix it. I asked Corbeil to exchange it and they are refusing saying the policy is to repair it if they think it can be repaired. I bought a $2000 samsung fridge from Corbeil. The fridge worked for 3 days and died. After two months and numerous attempts to fix it by Samsung I still don't have a working fridge and I've been told that it is another month before they either continue to try to repair it or replace it. I have called Corbeil twice to try to get any support from them. I have said that I will buy another $2000 samsung fridge from them so I have two fridges despite the fact that i only need one but I need some help with the broken fridge until it is fixed or repaired. I need it dealt with because I have no place to store it until it is fixed or replaced. They basically threw their hands up and said I am on my own. There is nothing they can do. They never offered to call Samsung or give any kind of assistance whatsoever. Basically, Samsung sold me a fridge that was a dud and Corbeil could not have cared less. I will never go back. If they had even offered to speak with the Samsung Rep that they deal with and try to do anything about this I would not have felt shafted by them but they really could not have cared less. Canadian Appliance Source will reduce all their advertised prices by 10% to compete with Home Depot (who also does the same). There is no reason to go to Corbeil. At least the other two competitors will try to help their customers... I will never go back to Corbeil and I would never recommend them to anyone moving forward. read more

I had shopped at Corbeil Appliance on Iris which is a privately owned franchise for 30+ years and spent close to $50,000 at this store. But I will not spend another penny here. My business is going elsewhere. Why should I bother even dealing with this store when I can get professional after sales support at Costco, Home Depot, Lowes, Rona. In my opinion used car salesmen have better service than Corbeit. These guys are comparable to the curbside car salesmen. With Corbeit if you get a lemon out of the box, you are on your own. This is why I will not shop at Corbeit again and I am telling my friends to avoid this business. In addition, do not rely on their 60 day price match, they'll find an excuse not to honour it. This had not been an issue over the years as I never bothered with $50 or $60, but now that I am giving them a 1-star, I need to mention this point as well. read more

We purchased a washing machine from Corbeil in June, only to have it break in July. I didn't realise that it was broken (I assumed the oil spots on our clothing were my fault somehow) until late August, at which point I called them to have it repaired. I got the store manager, Jay, on my first call. He assured me that he would put in the technician request, that the tech should come next Thursday, and that I would hear from them the next day to confirm that it had been done. I heard nothing. I called a few days later to confirm that the tech was coming, and was told that he had started my file, but then stopped, for no apparent reason. After a while, I got it across that I didn't care what had happened, I just needed my washer fixed, and was told that a tech would be coming out the following Tuesday (a week and a half after my first call). Frustrating, but fine. At least it would be fixed. The tech came on Tuesday, and told me that I couldn't be having the problem I was having with the washer. I showed him the oil-stained clothes, and he got really flustered, saying that he would call Whirlpool and ask them about it. He said he would call back the next day. Surprise surprise, no call. I called Corbeil back, and was told that they couldn't do anything until the technician a) sent in his report, b) contacted Whirlpool in any way at all, and c) closed the file. I called every day for a week, and was told this, every time. Finally I got Jay the store manager back on the phone. I told him that my washing machine would literally never get fixed at this rate. The tech had been a week without closing the file, so clearly he wasn't going to. Jay told me to calm down (fwiw, I had been so excruciatingly nice so far, since I get that he deals with a lot of assholes), and to call back the next day. That was it. I was done. Jay's incompetence was only dwarfed by his indifference, and my washing machine will clearly never get fixed until I put out $200 to have a private technician come and fix my brand new washer. In addition to this, he never returns my calls, and when I tried calling him 15 minutes after the store opened, was told that he was out on a smoke break. I'm sure those first 15 minutes must have been particularly hair-raising to need a break that quickly. Basically, Corbeil has some good prices, but if anything ever goes wrong with their products, no matter how soon after you've bought it, they'll tell you to fuck off, (if you can get them on the phone at all). I will never, ever buy a product from them again, and neither should you. read more

After our Miele dishwasher gave up after 9 years we decide to get a new one and to shop locally to ensure we received good service. We chose Corbeil and after being convinced that a Bloomberg dishwasher was a better choice we soon discovered that this was a mistake. We had to pay to have the dishwasher installed and discovered that it was not working. Calls and visits to Corbeil became frustrating and they simply washed their hands of the problem telling us it was a warranty issue and refusing to admit that they sold us a defective dishwasher. After several more calls to Corbeil and the manufacturer, it took three months to get the defective dishwasher replaced. Even then we were told it was our responsibility to have it disconnected and ready for pick up. It was only after protests that they agreed to pay for the re-hookup. Corbeil just don't stand behind what they sell you. The Bloomberg is not close to the quality and the performance of the Miele dishwasher. read more

Typical Canadian/Quebec run company with the WORST customer service ever. We dealt with the Burlington Ontario store and Aaron there was exceptional-a few others (likely the same person) was atrocious. Every time we called we got NOTHING but attitude and when I asked for a name he refused to give it to me. Their customer service department called (with an automated message) with less than 24 hours notice for the delivery. Then when you try to reach someone at their customer service- it LITERALLY timed out! NO ONE called the day of with a window of time for delivery - and when I called the store- as previously mentioned NOTHING but attitude. I do NOT recommend this company- (although again our sales rep Aaron was wonderful). This will be the next Canadian retailer to fail-as per usual they have NO clue in Customer Service! Positively Pathetic! Very said when we are spending $6000 on appliances. UPDATE: THIEVES! So once our delivery finally showed up- only the stove arrived- we are now being told our dishwasher was delivered when it wasn't!!!! They are calling us LIARS and refusing to help us! The Manager at this Burlington Store is ATROCIOUS and told US to call head office! He needs to be fired and this company needs to be shut down! Positively HORRENDOUS experience! Was very happy with the store service and delivery people. This was my second purchase from them. However the warranty service on the products they sell is very bad and also both purchases needed repairs a short time after purchase. The washer I bought in January 2015 started acting up in August 2015 intermittently. I put a service call in on September 14/15 and it still has not been fixed. The first service was done on September 23/15 and the part was ordered. The second service was done on October 13/15 and it was not the correct part to fix the washer. That was over 4 weeks from the original call for service. Nobody knows how much longer until I will have a working machine. They will try another part. Terrible experience at the Innes location, we bought a new Whirlpool fridge from Roch and paid a good sum of money for it, he was a excellent salesman but from than on the Corbeil experience has sucked. Delivery was at 6:40am in the morning (gave us a 7am/7pm window) and they called at 6:17 to give us a heads up( was told hour heads up). Woke up the whole house(including baby). They didn't give us enough time to empty out our old fridge so we are now stuck with that, Wont price match with the fridge being $400 dollars cheaper now and to top it all off, after taking the plastic film off the fridge there is a dent in the product. They have passed the buck to Whirlpool and will not do anything for us. Do not buy from this store. Awful read more
