The one in charge was very rude and unprofessional. They're vultures, scavenging what little they can off their sales.

Poor communication. Left message, had to call them back as second time. Never showed up or called back to look at large job.

In all honesty, the auction process and purchases went as expected. However, after winning an auction with the request for shipping things fell apart. I purchased a small number of US coins. The first issue was a small one of tax. They mistakenly applied tax to two of the coin purchases and not the other three. Only a small thing, so I move forward. I got an email stating they use a 3rd party shipper. I quickly contacted that shipper. They took down my information and said I was the first to request shipment, so they needed to wait for others to complete. I waited about a week; and the shippers contacted me by phone telling me they were unable to complete my shipment because I purchased coins and that Justin from the auction house would take care of that. As a result, I called the auction house and talked to a receptionist. That was fine enough. With her of the phone, I told them I wanted to talk about the tax and the shipping. She said she'd have someone call me about them. I heard nothing for a week. The package was then received. I checked my bank statement, and they charged me $10 for handling on top of the USPC shipping cost of $15.15 for a small insured "Flat Rate Box". Since they still haven't returned my call about the taxes nor discussed with me the handling fee, I called them again. This time I left a message, and they didn't return my call. So once again I called them the next week and talked with Justin. He stated that they did make an error on the tax (only $1.21) and had the gale to state that they normally charge $45 shipping fee to deal with their small team and having to go to the post office. They didn't budge on the $10 handling costs and asked me if I wanted them to refund the incorrectly charged tax, like they deserve to keep it since they made the mistake. Here are the facts, they don't have to go to the post office. The flat rate fees can be paid for online and the UPSP will pick it up. So being charged for a box that will be delivered for free to you place of business is saying... because we are not experts at what we do we think you should pay for it. Remember that a 15% commission is made by the auctioneer. So, at the end of the day, not a big dollar issue (thankfully) but I would never buy something from them to have them ship it. They are in the business they should have taken on the shipping themselves from the very beginning for things that their 3rd party shipper cannot. They should have posted what their handling costs are instead of leaving it up their discretion. They should be willing to do the less enjoyable parts of the job like contacting customers when issues arise and happily correcting issues on their side. I too need to do better. I should only bin on items once I know their shipping and handling policies. If I would have heard the $45 dollar or even $10 handling, I wouldn't have bid since along with shipping it consists of nearly 20% of the auction process. I've worked with several auction houses, and this is the only one I've used that has actually charged me a handling fee. All of the others have charged the shipping and considered the small packaging equal to the actual POS work they would need to do if I were there to pick up. I love supporting small businesses; but only when it feels like they too are willing to work with their customers. I hope these guys have more transparency moving forward and timelier on retuning customers' calls. read more
