The only downside was the DJ the music was lame like you had a crowd of teenagers and didn't keep the energy up the way we hoped. Bought a new pair of skates. I spent so much time here as a child. I attend Saturday Jan 17 2026 and it's gone downhill. There used to be floor guards plus the dj monitoring and correcting people breaking the rules. People break dancing around the rink so you can't skate safely. This used to be in the middle. I was skating and I see a blue bandanna being flown around. Clear gang activity and nothing was done. Simply unsafe and ridiculous. It's 16 dollars to enter yet they can't ensure any type of safe environment. I was devastated and probably won't be coming back. It's unsafe. No wonder this place had a gun threat less than a month ago. Mike do better. read more

We had fun at this location! It kind of takes me back to the good old days when the skating rink was the highlight of our weekend. The music was good. The prizes and games were all up to par as well. We were there for a birthday party. I like how they have personal rooms/areas for multiple parties to happen at one time. They give you pizza, beverages, and all of the paper products as well. They also make sure the are is clean and fully stocked with sanitary items. The music was really good and none of the children/adults seemed to have problems with their skates. Cool spot! I enjoy bringing my children and extended family to the roller skating rink. We've had birthday parties here and like to have get togethers for the cousins here. The food is good and most of the employees are fun and friendly. The kids had fun. All the other employees were professional and friendly, including the manager. It's fun watching the employees skate. They're really good. ****Watch out though. I was told I didn't meet their "dress code" by the angry female at the front register who said i needed to adjust my top before she'd allow me to enter. I guess we all have bad days but I hope there's a more professional cashier in the front, in the future. NOBODY wants to start off their family fun time feeling singled out and being shamed for having a large chest. read more

Very nice spot to take the kids to during the pandemic, they have races for kids of all ages, quick easy fun for parents. Skating rink is very clean and well lit, the skating rink floor is patrolled by a skate attendant and safety is provided by MPD, a very safe place for kids and to go on a Saturday afternoon or Friday night. Also skating is not just for kids, plenty of adults adorn the rink, I'm not sure if they have certain nights just for adults but it would definitely be interesting. Snack bar line was a little long, but overall I'm very impressed with this rink. Also pricing was very reasonable and if your simply taking your kids or not skating there's no admission fee, and plenty of seating on the sidelines for observers. read more

This establishment truly knows how to ruin great memories. Even for an ELEVEN-year-old. We had my daughter's 11th birthday party here on 11/4/2022. I paid for the 2nd to the last party pack and had to pay my deposit. Everything was booked and paid for. Upon doing that, the young lady made me aware that her party time would be from 4:30-5:30pm and to come 30 minutes earlier than the scheduled time to set up. Fast forward to that Saturday, I get there with 3 cars full of anxious excited children and our party room isnt even empty to start setting up. We literally sat from 3:30 to 4:50 waiting on our party name to be called over the intercom. We're at a normal table at this point with a birthday cake, balloons, bags, and etc. I literally had to go to the back where I was to check in at and ask the young lady if our party room was ready. She said " oh they didnt call you? ...you're in room 5 sorry about that" We set up everything is now going as it should. We had to hurry and eat the pizza because the pizza was already there waiting for us and the air is on HIGH. So that pizza didnt really have much longer until it started getting cold and tasted like cardboard. We're literally eating and trying to put skates on. So we notice there is a door way in our party room and people are walking in and out of it going to the floor. Im so confused and getting pissed off because, people left their purses, belongings and etc in this room under little supervision. There are adults on the floor somebody ( me) had to watch over our things. Theres no door so ANYONE can walk in. SO! Its about 5:10-5:15 and some older white lady walks through the room. We're literally standing and talking and noticed her looking at our things and walking by into that room or hallway. Then she walks back and before I could say anything she tells me " yall got about 10 more minutes then you gotta pack this up...I got another party coming in at 6." So at this point, im done. I tell her " Uh no we dont we didnt get our full hour so Im staying my entire time. If you dont believe me ask the young lady in the back with the braids" She then tells me" well im gonna give yall 10 more minutes then after that you gotta go." Not gonna lie if her delivery was professional, I would have left then. Im tired, ready to go. I could have waited in the lobby for parents to show up but no. I tell her she need to learn how to talk to people because her delivery aint it, Ill decide when I leave. Shes like " whatever" and Give me the " shooin" motion as she walk off, because I wanted smoke at this point. I marched to the front asked where HER manager was and the young man told me he was one of the managers. Shes a manager and he was too. I told him what happened. He simply stated to me " i truly apologize for that, you can stay til 6:30pm ...next time just notify me" I said ok and went to watch the children skate. 6:15 the bussboy come in and start touching food and Im like "uh no" young man up front gave me until 6:30 ima ride it out and we'll move." He said that he was told to start cleaning, which is understandable...hes doing his job. I wwent back up front and asked the young man if he could explain to his co worker ( the older lady) what he told me, so that we could all be on the same accord. He said he is going to talk to her, please let him handle this. I did. He said SOMETHING to them she had her arms folded but the entire time, the buss boy putting drinks on the cleaning cart and moving things. My cousin literally had to tell him " hey! do NOT touch our things...if you see our purses right here dont touch that. because I can make something come up missing and you'll be at fault" He proceeded to throwing the pizza away, didnt ask us " hey do yall want this?" or anything just threw it away lol. Then he went on to say " well she IS the manager" Not gonna lie before I knew it I said " Sir i dont give a f*ck who she is, she dont own this m*therf*cker so she has a boss too...and NOW i wanna speak to him" He said "well shes something like a big boss" Im like " excuse me who are you?...why are you talking to me?" So then I go back to the front to get the young man who stated he'd handle this...let him know whats going on...from the BEGINNING and told him this party aint even over and we paid for it in FULL and got half-assed service. I want my deposit back. He made me aware that he would give me my money back and apologized, I came off as irate but I did advise him that my issue was with her and her professionalism. She ruined a perfect experience for my child on her birthday...thats not ok. He stated he understood, advised me that although I paid with a card, he would refund me my money back in cash. I told him I was ok with that I just want my money so I can go and never return. I knew he was with the sh*t when hekept coming to me asking if he could give me free skating passes and walking around slowly as if hes trying to think of a masterplan. read more

Most kids love to skate and they won't be disappointed here. It is an average sized skating rink in the Cordova area. They have skates and roller blades available to rent. It also has a store where you can buy skates, socks and various skating accessories. The snack bar has basic food- pizza, nachos and drinks. It's a popular place for birthday parties and group events. Don't expect fancy. It's a basic skating rink that is has that skating rink smell (dirty feet!). It is not the cleanest skating rink I have ever seen but it serves the purpose. Your kids will definitely have fun here. I even put on skates and skate with them! Don't forget your socks, you'll need them to rent the skates! If you do forget, the shop sells them. read more

What should have been a beautiful moment! Turned into my worst nightmare. I was born in Memphis but raised in los angeles. I met most of my family as an adult. I was so pleased. Well, my family comes together for the 4th of July. Because of covid, we haven't been together in 2 whole years. Since then, I lost 3 aunts and 1 cousin. To see them this year meant so much to me. It was so hard coming here knowing I had to visit their final resting places. My cousins planned an itinerary which included the Eastend skating. The cashier Terry, treated my family like dogs. Worst than dogs! We entered as she was yelling at a young lady banning her and called security on her. We approached the window and my 23 year old cousin did not have skates and Terry said that she could not rent any because of her age. I offered mine (skates carried by me from Cali) Terry said no, she can't wear your skates. I asked could I rent them, Terry said no. I asked if I could buy my cousin skates! Cash or card, Terry said she doesn't sell skates "just so someone can skate the same day!" This lady answers to no one. Why would owners allow this woman to be so cruel. She lacks the customer service skills required to help people. She has no idea what it meant to my family to be together for that moment. We can't get that back, I live 2,000 miles away. I have reached out to the company in hopes someone can help. This should not happen to anyone's family. She is deciding who can skate and who can't skate based on how she feels that day. She made up rules as we stood there and had nothing in writing. I would not recommend this place to anyone until that bad ruined apple is placed far from a business that has kids or family members that are loved. Cordova skating also owns east end. I love to skate. I've been doing it almost since I could walk. The rink is an ok size. Now that is comparing it to being a kid and remembering how vast the rink I learned to skate in felt. This was our first trip to this skating rink and also my sons first time "attempting" to skate haha. The facility was nice, clean and seemed well maintained - an added bonus was they have an arcade area with a prize booth and snack bar with drinks, snacks, pizza and more. We went shortly after it opened on a Thursday afternoon and it was very busy, there were at least two large organizations/groups with buses of kids, so it goes without saying it was a little hectic trying to skate. The next time we go we are going to try it around 2:30-3:00pm because this was around the time all the groups had left and it was almost empty ... maybe 5-6 people skating if that and I overheard an employee saying that usually they are less busy at this time. Overall, we had fun, my son thought the lights and black lights were great, the staff we encountered seemed nice and helpful ... we will be going back again soon. *If you have a Memphis City Saver you can use the coupon for the BOGO Admission *Sign your kid(s) up for the Kids Skate Free summer program and all you have to purchase is the skate rental *Take 50 cents with you if you plan to use the lockers and where pockets so you have a place to put the very bulky key from the locker lol read more

Their skates are very reasonably priced & their employees are very attentive & friendly. They care about the kids too. I enjoy skating here w my family and am SO thankful we have a nice place to skate locally!! The updates are a great addition, too. It was fun for all ages and was in a safe area too. Everyone was friendly and regardless if your there to watch your kids skate or if your skating they play music that all ages enjoy. Cordova Skating Center, located just off of Germantown Parkway in Cordova, has a pretty typical setup. A rink surrounded on three sides by a carpeted area equipped with video games, tables, and chairs. They have a skate shop where you can buy such brand skates as K2, Rollerblade, and Mission. They also have a small selection of skating accessories - wheels, bearings, and the like. They have a snack bar and a few vending machines, and a row of rooms available for party rentals. They have a decent sound system and play mostly pop. Lady Gaga, Usher, etc. They have approximately 1500 lights, a couple of disco balls and various lighting rigs to time shows to the music; all of which is nothing spectacular, but not too shabby either. But let's face it - you don't go to a skating rink for the music and light show. The rink itself is gray epoxied plywood, and fairly large. The epoxy has seen better days - it's pitted and scarred and there's some wavy sections where the floor is not at all flat. My current pair of K2's came with white wheels, and after a few hours of skating, they've turned quite a dingy yellow from the buildup of dirt on the floor. For all that, the floor skates fairly well. The skating floor is surrounded on 3 sides with a three foot concrete block wall which has openings scattered here and there to allow access on and off the floor. They always skate counter-clockwise. I've never seen them call for the skaters to reverse direction. The rental quads are pretty much your standard fare - plain brown leather boots and hard plastic wheels. They do have inline skates available for an additional $2. The pair i got the one time i rented from them was a worn pair of K2's that had all of the lacing eyes on one skate ripped off and bearings that had seen better days. Having said all that, where the Cordova rink shines (and why I'm giving it four stars) is its hours. They are open for free skate every afternoon/evening with the exception of Tuesdays, when they have skating lessons. During the week, there's generally only a handful of people on the floor skating. Weekends are busier - on Friday nights the place is absolutely packed, but Saturday and Sunday aren't so crowded that you can't enjoy yourself. I have a summer pass that allows me to skate as much as i like through August - hopefully they'll have a fall pass as well. read more

I'll go at any time, with any one, my janky body allowing, and this facility takes you back to your eighties childhood when you would shoot the duck to Marky Mark in your pom-pom'ed-out skates until your parents dragged you out of there. And, did anyone have the token 40 year old moustached show-off in tight jeans and speed skates doing tricks and weaving through the crowd with a bored look on his face? Just checking. We just had our 9 year old daughters birthday party here. Really great facility. They had about 5 parties going on and the place was pretty packed but the staff was right on point. Our Birthday room was all set up when we arrived with pitchers of soft drinks and glowing cups on the table. (We had chosen the roll and glow party)The pizzas came out fast and there was never a dull moment. We took the Tuesday night all ages Skate lesson and it was awesome. My 7 yr old, 4 yr old and myself all learned new skills. By the end if the night, I was even crouching down to roll under a limbo poll, on one foot!!! Coach Caroline and her helpers were so kind and encouraging. And I loved how they broke skating down into manageable skills. I skated as a kid but I never could do more than circle the rink and stop by running into the wall. We ABSOLUTELY love Cordova skating Rink! The Staff members are amazing..... Mike, Chris, Kajden, Lucas, Cole, just to name a few.... and so many more! We enjoy going and our kids and us, love to skate! We always get treated like part of the family here! I will not take them to any other Skating Rink! This is by far, the BEST place to enjoy family time! The Staff really and truly care about the kids and their safety! They don't tolerate fighting or bullying here, and it's a Christian atmosphere! I'm very irritated right now. This has always been my favorite place to skate and here recently I've started coming back with my friend. We get here today and she was trying to buy some skates. We ask the lady very politely if they had any of the ones she wanted. The lady proceeded to tell us that they didn't have the ones my friend wanted. My friend asked her if she could try some on just to know the size so she could order the ones she wanted. The woman walked away and asked the guy if he could grab some out of the back. He acted very rude and said "No, if she's gonna order them online she can figure that out herself." The staff has never been rude or unprofessional; but, our experience today has not been the best. They definitely need to improve on their customer service. My friend probably would've bought the ones she tried on if they would've given her the chance to do that. Very unprofessional staff. They either need to hire someone who is polite, or address the situation because that is uncalled for. read more

This is a great place for kids. I signed my day up for "Kids Skate Free" and it has been great. She pays $2 for skates and that's all.

At $7.50 per child/person that puts a family of 8 kids + 2 adults at $75.00 to skate for an afternoon???? Ridiculous. Add hot dogs and cokes and it's more like 150.00 for the afternoon at the rink. Pretty sad!! You could do better at your family rates!! Guess we'll be finding some alternative recreation for Sunday afternoons.
