I requested a quote for arborist recomondations and branch removal of dead tree limbs over my driveway and home. Tyler Byington certified arborist and a qualified tree risk assessor walked my properity. We discussed what I wanted removed to avoid damaged to our cars and home. I explained that large limbs were falling close to the car and house. He strongly advised against removing the dead limbs. I pressed that this was my main concern. He said there was no further concern and that the limbs in question would soon turn to pulp and not damage my property. I did follow his recomondations to address other limbs although I wasn't concerned with them damaging anything. When the team came to do the trim I again pressed on with my concerns. The team reiterated that my concerns were not valid and would not take the limbs I wanted down. This could have been done with a pole saw. Within 6 days the ln I was most concerned about fell directly on my audi A5. It was classified as a total loss by my insurance company and flat bedded away. My calls were never returned by Cordwin. Three weeks later the other limb that I was so concerned with fell on my outdoor furniture destroying my glass table. I called Cordwin again and my calls have never been returned. Lastly, the one completely healthy tree that they did prune seemed fine. However it was done much more aggressively than I asked. They were paid in full for the work. This work was done just prior to hurricane season last year The healthy tree dropped all of its leaves shortly following the prune. I had two other arborist look at the tree a make recomondations to save it. I was told that the cuts were improper and to wait to see if it recovers. We have friends that have used Cordwin for years and they came highly recommended. Recently our farm needed tree work. we contacted them and the individual they sent was completely unprofessional. I believe his name was Todd or Ty. Let me explain. while he seemed to possess certain tree knowledge, he was demeaning, dismissive and condescending. My husband is from the NY area and frankly, I am glad he was not home because it would have turned out badly. My experience couldn't have been better. They were on time for the initial consultation and on time for the scheduled service. They did exactly what was agreed upon. They cleaned up well afterward, raking and disposing the debris, restoring my river rock driveway rearranged by the heavy machinery, and putting back everything that had to be moved. I worked with them for a few day totaling in 18hrs and they then fired me and another guy for taking a water break on a job and then proceeded to short me on hrs and give me 14hrs and paid me 200 needles to say I don't recommend working with them read more
