Ash people For six days, we trudged through the dead city before finding the first sign of life. On the edge of the blast zone, before frozen winter fields, a small flowering bush. Perhaps the heat of the bombardment had tricked it into blooming early. We all looked at it for a silent moment and quickly moved on. We were young and tired and just miles from the rendezvous. Yet sometimes at night that silent moment returns. And I see them fluttering again. In the cold uncaring wind. Doomed flowers. Soft and pale.

The kids are rude, one of…read morethe staff for sixth grade is homophobic, the school refuses to give me my IEP accommodations and the vice principal, AND the principal are very ignorant, they never listen when I have to tell them about when a serious problem happens with me and another kid, and they just brush it off, when I mentioned that my mental health is just as important if not more than my mental health, all he said was "meh" and he sent me back to class... I find this extremely disrespectful and like my mental health doesn't matter to any of the staff, the pro's of this school is that they do provide after school activities, sports, and sometimes they do dances. ​​​​​​​​​​

I used to swim there when I was in FRAC and then again when I was on the high school swim team. Marysville high school certainly has the largest "hands on" work spaces in the Yuba-Sutter/Marysville area. Their wood and metal shops are huge and they have some really creative staff but the whole district is plagued with students with low scores. It's heartbreaking.

This place is a place in the middle of nowhere. So there's No time to try and move testing centers!! Shes been practicing the test over the past two weeks She's devastated!

You see, my friend and I had to drive here to take our SAT and the inside was lovely. it had clean…read moreindoors, nice classrooms and very nice bathrooms as well as very cool and well placed lockers; however, we exited through the back door of the 100s building because it was closest to us and then we realised that there was no way back in. We were stuck outside in the rain, fenced in like rabbits with no way to get to our car. We opted to go around and under these metal railings to stay out of the rain and almost fell many times. After we ran out of railings to go under we reached another entrance and it too was locked. We then realised we were completely trapped since all of the metal fending was locked and we opted to climb over one of the shorter fences to break free. we did so in the rain. We were able to make it back eventually looking like wet rats and unscathed but I hope I don't have to fence climb at this school anytime soon.

I went to April Lane elementary school from 1985 to 1991. Looking back at the experience of having…read moregone to the school is a really large blessing, it was so technologically advanced, all of the classrooms had some kind of computer set up the receptionist at the front desk had the most awesome reception board where she could intercom into any class that she wanted to, make school announcements and set notifications. Mr.Garmire was a very cool Principal, The school was so new (it seemed) I remember that we students got to pick our school color, turquoise won.
