Five-Star Experience! We had such a great experience at Corey Billie's Airboat Rides! From start to finish, everything was easy and enjoyable. One thing that may help others: you can simply call to make your reservation. That wasn't completely clear to me from the website, but I called, made our reservation over the phone, and the entire process was very easy. Check-in when we arrived was quick and simple as well. Our airboat guide, Josh, was fantastic! He was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and made the ride so much fun--it honestly felt like a roller coaster through the mangroves! He was also incredibly helpful when Grandma started feeling nauseous during the ride. He made sure she was okay and took great care of us. The gator experience afterward was another highlight. The gentleman handling the alligators--Pat the "Gator Whisperer," --was extremely knowledgeable and explained that he had personally trained and worked with the gators. We even got to hold one! The scenery was beautiful, the airboat ride was an absolute blast, and everyone we interacted with was friendly and knowledgeable. Super fun ride through the swampy mangroves. Places you could only go via air boat. Guide Josh has lived here his whole life and provided tons of information. We saw two alligators when we got on, but none on the tour unfortunately. But, afterwards, there is a demonstration with the Alligator Whisperer, and he shows baby alligators that you can touch. Such a fun outing! Our captain was very knowledgeable and somehow navigated skillfully through open waters and twisting trails thru the mangroves. We saw plenty of gators and bird life plus even got a brief history lesson. At the end there is an alligator "show". It's kind of honky-tonk but impressive nevertheless, with an option to pose holding a small alligator - perfectly positioned to capture their sign in the background. WOW! - - - - - - - - September, 2024 Visit - - - Before the Ride We visited Marco Island for our 25th anniversary, per a recommendation from friends; we're glad we went... what a great trip. Before the trip, we thought a little about exploring the Everglades, but didn't do much searching. One day we were just driving around and decided to check our Everglades City, ~ 30 minute drive from Marco Island. On the way we saw an airboat place and I was immediately interested. As we drove we found others, including several in Everglades City. On the drive back we confirmed that Corey Billie's is the closest to Marco Island. A couple days later we connected with some friends from home who were also in the SW Florida area, and the next thing we know we had a reservation for a Corey Billie Airboat ride. It was a LOT of fun! - - - The Ride Carolyn and Havana, in the office, graciously got us signed in and ready, including providing ear muffs to keep the noise down. Captain Ron and Jen were our leaders that day. On the walk from the building to the airboat, we saw a large adult gator, at least 13 feet long... safely on the other side of the fence... an impressive way to start the day. The ride goes through a big area, sometimes slowly, sometimes quickly; never in danger. Some space are more open, others are tight pathways through the mangroves. Captain Ron stopped at one point to show us the similarities and differences in red, black and white mangrove trees, and shared how they grow taller when there is more salt in the water We happened to visit on a nice September day - farm but not hot... mostly clear sky with nice, big puffy clouds And on the way back we learned of how some swamps and lakes are able to emit methane from the biomass decaying underwater. - - - After the Ride One your way back in you can visit with Pat, who introduces you to some pet alligators that he has/is raising... they are safe and well kept, and you also get to pet them. I've been too many and they are the tops. The boat is comfortable. They don't talk too much. They say just enough and it's fun.

RUDE STAFF! The lady behind the counter along with the alligator man were very rude. In fact, it almost seemed as if the lady behind the counter wanted to argue with me. Alligator man was also rude, abrasive and had zero customer service skills. On a brighter note, "RON" the air boat driver was very nice, funny and knowledgeable. I sure hope he wasn't expected to share the tip we gave him. Would not recommend this place to anyone. read more

wanted to alligators but didn't want to drive 3 hours each way so we came here from Sanibel island ... around an hour away. We enjoyed the air boat ride and saw several gators. Back in the day the first one we went to fed the alligators so there was alot more hanging around but that illegal now. there was a show included when they show you baby gators and you can hold one. They give you some facts about gators and the area. Enjoyed it. The price was around 80 dollars for an adult ... bring cameras. Felt safe and it was a great time. Highly recommend. read more

We came to the Everglades to see alligators, and we did indeed see quite a lot of them at Corey Billie's. Most of them were in the areas close to where the airboats docked...we didn't see many out in the mangroves area like I have in the past during the summer months. Part of that is because the mangroves are making it hard for gators to find spaces in this particular area to get out of the water, and part of it seemed to be about mating season. We still had a great time out on the 45 minute airboat tour. Each boat seats about 10 people, and I really recommend having reservations ahead of time. Our captain was informative and friendly, and he gave us a great ride...going fast was the highlight, especially for the kids in our boat (not to mention the smiles on the adults' faces, too). After the airboat ride there is a short "alligator show" where we learned a bit about the gators. And then we got to hold a pretty big gator which makes a great memory and a great picture. read more

A group of 10 of us (adults and kids) went on a NYE ride at around 2:45pm. Finding the place was easy enough, and there was enough parking for the gradual arrival and departure of groups. We checked in, then met our airboat pilot and were escorted to our boat behind the shack. Our pilot (whose name I don't recall, but was a blonde gentleman with mustache and ponytail) was a rockstar when it came to navigating and steering us through the tunnels of mangroves at high speeds. We jetted along, drifted, and had a blast exploring the mangroves. On top of that, we saw many MANY gators at various points throughout the journey. After the ride, we went over to a side area where we got to see a baby gator and a teenage gator (the latter was trained and performed tricks), then we got to whole it and take pictures. We had a blast and the staff did a great job entertaining us. The airboat ride was fast and fun as we zipped around and drifted side to side through the mangroves. Our captain did a great job stopping and point out various things to us while keeping it entertaining. You get noise cancelling headphones to wear to drown out some of the noise but it's really not that bad. You also get an alligator show at the end which is entertaining and they even let you hold the alligator to take a picture. We even saw a manatee and a couple of gators just floating around before we started. There is a lot of value in the money for this particular company. No up-charges for the extra things you get to do (plenty of picture opportunities) We had a great time and would consider this tour again when we are in the area read more

We had a blast! There were 11 ladies from a SWFL FB group having an outing today. Corey Billies was extremely accommodating! I was able to make a reservation in advance and everyone could Pay separately which some companies might complain about. Mo our captain was wonderful and very patient with us while he was taking group pics! The young lady doing the gator show was delightful, very gentle with the gators and extremely knowledge. We were very disappointed!!! Having been on an airboat ride elsewhere our expectations were set. Our Captain seated our party of 3 separately. I feel he could have seated us together the way the passenger counts worked out and the weight distribution considerations.The Captain also talked too fast to understand half of what was coming out of his mouth. His jokes we did understand were in poor taste , and we spent most of our time floating listening to his gibberish about his childhood and Mangroves. I thought we were there for riding ,not floating and a history lesson. If it is a lecture and a history lesson you are looking for this is the place! The only gators to see here are in their enclosure on shore. Good luck! read more

This is a must do when visiting Florida. My kids and I visited Florida for the first time a week ago and saw this excursion on Yelp. We are so glad we went. The airboat ride was stellar, seeing alligators in the wild was amazing, and getting to learn about and hold a baby alligator was super cool. I loved the winding paths between the mangroves and the beauty of the Everglades (much different than Washington State so very neat to see the differences). What really gave this place 5 stars was Ricky our boat operator. He was so engaging and informative. He told us a lot about the area, the wildlife, and culture. He was absolutely fantastic. We only saw alligators that were in the small marina behind the office and near the parking area, which was a slight bummer. The ride through the mangroves, however, was the best part. Great place, great staff! It's a great introduction to air boat riding for children or elderly. We all got to hold alligators (about 2' in size) including my 4 year old. He was so psyched! They only do phone reservations and you pay in person when you arrive. Within the last few years there's been a lot of restrictions placed on them with their location (being between two national parks that have expanded their boundaries). They are no longer able to do the tours they used to and get into the places they used to be able to. With that said, we had a blast! We only saw alligators in the take off pond area. Some right there at the dock sun bathing, a couple in the water and one across at the sand embankment that we rode to on the boat. On the tour you drive through mangroves, get a good history of the native tribe and plants of the area. There's a small replica of a village along the water, stop at some areas where on good days there's alligators sun bathing on the built for them docks. We did get up to a good speed in some areas but nothing to what I was expecting, which was perfect for both my 4 year old and sixty year old relative that came with us. I'd highly recommend for families with small children. read more

So much fun! I've never been on an airboat ride before so didn't really know what to expect. We called a couple of days prior and was able to reserve a spot for 3 at 11am on a Thursday. They request you arrive 30 minutes prior, and when we arrived at 10:25 they put us on the 10:30 boat which was fine with us. Our captain expertly guided us through the water, stopping and turning the boat so everyone could see the gators. He would speed up during several parts of the ride and my favorite is when the boat would go sideways just before a turn. We learned a lot about alligators and also about the other wildlife in the area. Our captain had us laughing as he shared stories and his quick wit. The ride was about 45 minutes and I did not get one bug bite! I am usually a magnet for mosquitoes and no see ums, so was happily surprised I was not having to swat any flying insects away. It was about 70 degrees, overcast with occasional bursts of sun. I was glad to have worn my sweatshirt as when the boat went fast, it was a bit nippy. You do need to secure anything you take. The captain recommended anyone with a baseball cap to wear it backwards as the wind can easily take anything not secure. We sat in the front row, but really, all the seats were good. They supply you with headsets to block the noise. Some people wore them, some did not. You do have to take them off when the boat stops so you can hear the captain speak. If I do this again, I think I will sit in the back so I can hear them better. There are a couple different hand sanitizer dispensers available. We used one to wipe the headsets down before we used them. It is great they took my name and reserved the spots with no payment required until we showed up. You can just show up and they will put you on the next available boat. The other boats we saw that morning were all full. It would be nice if they allowed for online booking and payment. They do not accept Apple Pay, but do take credit cards. I Definitely recommend Corey Billie's! read more

You will see gators and learn about the Everglades and its history and its wildlife. Rates are aprox $40.00 per person and also a before/after gator show with Pat.(Raised in Australia). Did you ever see Gators do tricks? You will here. Boat Tour guides do their best to make all patrons happy as well. Worth the travel trip here. My boyfriend has always wanted to go on an airboat ride, so when we were on vacation near Naples, I surprised him with the opportunity to do so. Corey Billie's is further out past the busyness of Naples, so you are truly in the swamp when you arrive. We were able to snag a ride 10 minutes before it went out and before a storm truly cancelled any chance of going out. It is $40/person, which seemed reasonable to me. We received headsets to put on to block the noise of the airboat, and we walked outside to check out everything around the office. We saw several alligators in the water, plus some of the employees at the gator exhibit handling the gators for picture opportunities. After waiting, we hopped on the boat with Mark, our guide, and jetted off into the swamp. He called gator for us to the side of the boat, showed us the wildlife and flora that is common to the area and the swamp, told us about his history and the history of the people in the area, and much more. He was full of knowledge and humor, and he made sure we got our moneys worth of zipping around at 40 mph on the water. We had such a fun time and enjoyed everything we saw and heard. This experience was horrible. First of all, on the website it says 45 minute boat ride, when it was about 20 minutes of riding and another 25 minutes spent listening to the tour guide. Second, the tour guide that kept yapping for all of the ride wasn't knowledgeable what so ever. Third, If you are a tourist and know nothing about Florida it would be a good experience for you, but for people that have been to Florida more than one time I would not suggest visiting. Fourth, the website states that you go through marshes, there isn't any marshes it is more just a 200 acre pond with trails through the mangroves. Lastly, you can defiantly see gators but in my opinion it is very cruel seeing the gators that they use for entertainment. Basically they let you hold gators, after the horrible ride, that they get from a gator farm. And those gators do not live a good life they live in a fish tank with barely any water or enrichment. Overall, if you want to waste all your money and time for a place that boring go for it!!!! read more
