We love Dr. Evans. My daughter's dentist referred us to Evans Orthodontics because she saw good…read morework coming from the practice. She also mentioned that Dr. Evans would be a good fit for my daughter, as she's a little shy, and Dr. Evans is soft spoken and very kind. It's worked out well, and we're very happy with the care that's being provided. The practice is located in the Lupo Building on Robert E. Lee and shares a parking lot. We've always been able to find a spot. They're on the 4th floor and the elevator opens right in front of their sunny, bright office.

THESE PEOPLE ARE SO RACIST. I have never been made to feel as small as I felt leaving the office…read moreduring my last visit. Here's how my experience went: Dr. Frampton is incompetent and rude. I have had my braces off for 4 years, but went in for retainer adjustment. The dental assistant put my retainer in my mouth and said it probably wouldn't need any adjustment but told me to wait for Dr. Frampton's final word. When Dr. Frampton put the retainer in, she broke my retainer and then proceeded to blame me. She made me pay for the appointment and told me I would have to pay for the retainer if it was unrepairable. I have never been more hurt as I was when Dr. Frampton started blaming me for something she clearly caused. Her lack of professionalism and ability to admit her wrong is disgusting. They've had my retainers ready for pickup for the past few weeks but didn't even feel the need to give me a simple call to notify me that my retainers were ready. I'm so bothered that I don't even want to go back to that wretched place, even though my retainers have been waiting for me for over a month. UPDATE: I finally went back to the office to pick up my retainer AFTER A FEW MONTHS of not wanting to go back to that office. My mom had been pestering me about picking the retainer up, but I had always put it off with the excuse of having college work. I didn't realize why I was dreading the visit so much until I finally went earlier today. I was dreading experiencing the racism from that office staff. And today's office visit made that racism SO clear. Having grown up as a hijabi Muslim girl in Southern Louisiana, I have experienced my fair share of racism, but I've learned to deal with it and don't notice it most of the time now. It was when I returned to the office this time that I finally understood that the disrespect I was experiencing from Dr. Evans and Dr. Frampton was a result of my clothing choice and skin color. The entire office visit made Dr. Evan's and Dr. Frampton's racist values evident, and it all began from when I scheduled my appointment. 1. Per my request, my mother had informed the office staff that I would not feel comfortable being treated by Dr. Frampton. She kindly asked that I be treated by Dr. Evans. This request was blatantly ignored by the staff, and Dr. Frampton is the one who treated me upon my visit. After having been ignored in my initial request, I understood the staff did not care that I felt uncomfortable being treated by Dr. Frampton. I instead said nothing and allowed Dr. Frampton to treat me. 2. Neither Dr. Evans nor Dr. Frampton felt any need to acknowledge my feelings from the previous appointment. The entire office completely ignored my last experience and chose to pretend it hadn't happened. I am positive they have seen my earlier review, so they must know how I felt. Their blatant disregard for how uncomfortable I was feeling just emphasized their lack of respect for me as a person. Dr. Evans and Dr. Frampton would have shown far more courtesy in acknowledging my sentiments had I been a white patient. All in all, Dr. Evans and Dr. Frampton are racist orthodontists and would not recommend their treatment to any person of color. I find it truly disheartening that they would feel justified in treating me as a lower person simply based on my religion and skin color. It is also a bit disgusting that they feel they can take advantage of me and not give me the level of care they would give a white patient. I felt so uncomfortable through the entire visit, that I didn't even feel the need to say anything to the staff on what I was feeling. I understood they wouldn't care and wouldn't institute any change based on what I was feeling. They would have invalidated my sentiments and found a way to blame me for my feelings. I will never return to their office and fully intend to have my record sent to a new orthodontist if I require care in the future. This short review truly cannot do justice to how disrespected and upset I feel right now, but I hope it helps the reader in finding a more suitable orthodontist who will treat them with the respect you deserve. I had originally posted this review to their Google listing, but they removed my review. I was one of Dr. Evans first patients and honestly expected more courtesy and respect from her. It is so frustrating to be treated negatively based on something as simple as my skin color. The way these orthodontists treated me actually made me go home and cry for hours. I don't think anyone should leave their orthodontist or any other health care professional feeling as hurt as I did. Plus, my teeth are still not aligned properly and kinda crooked in places. Don't recommend them at all.
