It's worse than a mental hospital with no rules! We had to have a weapon and travel in pairs. It's thunder dome! Triple lock your doors and put ear plugs in to not hear the screaming. Vacation in Ukraine or Palestine would be more relaxing. Avoid if you like your family!

We booked a room here for a short 3 night stay and were excited to find an internet rate of $71 a night plus tax. When I arrived, I was amazed at what such a low price can get you in Summerland!! I know it's not their peak season, but wow! Our room was ready when we arrived and we were excited to find an incredibly comfortable Queen sized bed, a full kitchen with stove and oven, fridge and freezer, and a big bath tub in the very modern and pretty bathroom. The room was small and a bit cramped, but that's mainly because they try and fit so much into a small space. Our room had a gas fireplace, TV, table and chairs, full kitchen, large armoire, full bathroom, and even a balcony with chairs and table. Everything felt new, fresh and clean. Some family members stayed in the two bedroom suite which had a partial lake view. They were supposed to be in the full lake front view two bedroom suite, but the hotel messed up. We had told them that we had 3 people over the age of 85 who would be sharing a suite. When we got there, they had put us in a suite with a great view, but it had stairs to a loft and the other bedroom was a Murphy bed that you had to move a 6 person table to access. Obviously that isn't going to work for our seniors. We were quite annoyed, but the new room was nice. It wasn't quite what we had asked for, but it was very nice. The full kitchens are really convenient, especially if you are staying a while. The bath tub had very high sides, and it could have used a safety bar or handicap bar to help you in and out. I'm only 36 and of average height, but the tub sides were really high for me and when you are wet, you could slip. They have free WiFi throughout the property, just ask for the pass code when you arrive and it's the same for every hot spot. Overall, the hotel is beautiful. You are steps away from the lake, minutes from downtown Summerland and the surrounding wineries. Penticton is a short drive away and I can't imagine there is anywhere nicer in the area.

The gardens are so nice it almost makes you want to pretend you know something about plants. On-site restaurant? Yep. Tasty food just steps away. The staff are amazing--friendly, helpful, and genuinely seem to care if you're having a good stay (rare these days). There's a pool and hot tub, which is a win, and the beds and pillows are so comfortable it's honestly hard to leave in the morning. If I had to dig deep for a complaint, I guess I could say there's no microwave. But unless you're planning to live off popcorn and reheated pizza, you'll survive just fine. Already looking forward to stay #6!

Let that sink in. 7:30 am woken up while I am on vacation to be asked if I could consider moving rooms? After the initial shock of worrying that something bad had happened which could be the only reason the phone rings at 7:30 am I can state that this is the worst customer service experience in a hotel I have ever experienced. I spoke to the Manager and she said I could choose to have a good day or bad day over this. Wow. The poor customer service example starts at the top. No wonder the staff are incompetent at this hotel. Never stay at this Ramada again.

I had actually been here before about 10 years ago with my parents and also loved it then. But with a huge group of amazing friends and family it was over the top awesome. Overlooking Skaha lake and only 10 min to Penticton this place cannot be beat. It is a throwback to a simpler time. White-washed Greek villa style home with eclectic, randomly designed rooms. If you like consistency, wifi and satellite TV...please move on. This place is not for you. But, if you like to explore finding new things around every corner, enjoying the simple things in life like amazing food (the breakfasts are insanely good - i will venture to say the best breakfast buffet I have ever had!), strolls in the hills, wine and cheese in your own little corner with view, picking fresh fruit from trees (the most amazing yellow plums, apricots, pears etc), star gazing, late night hot tub and lounging by the pool... then please do not miss this place. I cannot wait to get back!!!

The pool and hot tub were great, you could tell that the chemicals were well managed (with a pool operator also stopping in at one point). It was cool to have the space of a balcony room, although it was empty without any tables or chairs. Wasn't sure quite what to do with the space. It has been very hard to find a double queen room that was separated, it was nice to be able to have that privilege. Staff were very friendly and made a noticeable attempt to be helpful.

If you do not know the technique, it's unlikely you'll be able to enter your room or enter through an outer door. - Miniscule 10 sq ft / 1 sq m elevator, with a door that remains open for 2-3 seconds then slams shut with a huge amount of force, and oh, by the way, watch your step because the elevator floor is not aligned with the hallway floors. - Toilet is so close to the wall you need to sit sideways on it. Staff tried hard, and the room was well appointed, but the overall building structure is very, very tired.

The building is a bit dated in the halls and has a confusing layout, but the rooms are clean and modern. The room I was in was a bit strange as the bathroom sink was in the bedroom portion. This was no issue for me as a single occupancy but could be odd for multiple guests using the sink while people are sleeping. The included breakfast was on the weak side of Continental breakfasts. Eggs were stamped out in round circles. No bacon. Sausages were meh, cubed potatoes were bland. No hot sauces. Don't expect a five star, and you'll be fine. Good for the budget conscious family. Quiet too.

This is a mixed review, for sure. There are some good features here, but there certainly are some…read morereal negatives. Let's start with the good, shall we? -location. This hotel is in easy walking distance to the inner tube places, Riverside Drive (with all their restaurants and the main waterfront park area), the downtown core (Main St, Front St), a small strip mall (Starbucks, Angry Otter Liquor, Cobb's Bread, more). -free wifi, free and ample parking -indoor pool area (we never saw anyone in it but it's there) and large outdoor pool (very popular with families with kids) -friendly staff -rooms were clean for the most part (clean bed linens, clean carpets and floors, well-stocked supplies in the bathroom) -complimentary breakfast (more on that later) -fast and efficient check-in and check-out systems (much can be done online in advance) Now for the negatives: -there is no elevator. If you are a single woman like myself and don't feel comfortable on the ground floor, this might be a problem - especially if you have heavy luggage with you -maze-like layout of hotel sections -dated fixtures (old carpets, old bathtubs - some cracking and flaking in areas, old furniture in rooms - some chipped in areas, everything is old and looks it) -weird layouts to individual rooms. Our first night there, we were put in the "honeymoon suite". Wow. There's a huge, old triangular Jacuzzi tub in a corner of the main room/bedroom (and this tub had rust or discoloration around the jet holes in the bottom. It was sketch - to the max). And this "honeymoon suite" is adjacent to the outdoor pool, so you hear kids screaming all day long and into the evening. And the pull-out sofa bed is at the foot of the king bed, and there's barely clearance if you need to open this sofa bed. And the shower in this suite was really discolored, with a dark line around the interior (not sure if it's a crack or mold) and a large flaked-off area. My kid and I refused to shower in this tub. The sink hadn't enough room for one person's pharmacy stuff, let alone two. The whole room was just weird, all around. The following two nights, we were put in another room on the second floor with two queen beds (the type of room I reserved way in advance). It was WAY better, but still far from ideal. The sink was not located in the bathroom with the shower/tub and toilet; instead, it's in the main room, right beside one of the beds. And although the room was clean, some of the towels were stained. There's no closets, just a few hooks on the wall, and minimal storage for clothing. (When I reserved our rooms, I made note this trip was special, for my 65th bday and we reserved 2 queen beds on the 2nd floor. When we arrived they said they were out of said rooms and they gave us the "honeymoon suite". We were not happy about this at all). -although some families seemed to enjoy the breakfast, I found it inedible. The juices were okay (Minute Maid), and they did have individual yogurt cups (thankfully), but the coffee was horrible (like cardboard), the eggs were tiny round disks and flavorless (like hockey pucks), the "hash browns" were tiny diced potatoes that were barely cooked.... it was just bad. The plastic knives were so flimsy, they broke when I tried to butter a piece of toast. Even my kid, who eats anything, had to agree, there was nothing here for her (she is a serious protein counter). She said the sausage was tasteless, and the eggs were a joke. After the first morning there, we avoided this breakfast our subsequent 2 mornings. -the "fitness center" is but a closet with one central machine, and you need to get a key from the front desk to open the door (then return the key). Very inconvenient and not worth it. Nobody was in it the 3 days we were there. -this hotel wasn't inexpensive. I realize this is prime tourist season (July), but for 3 nights here, it cost me over $800. I think that's a lot for what you get here. IMO. Would I stay here again? If it were half the price and I was in my 20's, perhaps. But not at this price and not at my age. Nope.

My boyfriend and I checked in just before 9pm fri Sept 30/16 as we drove from Vancouver, BC. Thankfully Google Maps got us directly from downtown Pentiction to right to the establishment so when in doubt use technology! Located up a steep curvy no-shoulder road, a few turns in on the right and you've arrived. The establishment has a small parking lot on the front or street side and an odd black chain-link fenced driveway down the back near the yard. The home on the neighbouring property is huge and looks vacant with overgrown weeds all over. Our separate french doored entrance basement level, pentiction and beach in the lower distance faced a gurgling pond and the multi-leveled downhill yard. Inside we found a sexy large opened space with a large perfectly comfy perhaps queen sized four poster bed, awesome warmed tile floor, interestingly decorated paintings and fantastic "dual bath/shower made in heaven" that the geek in me easily manoeuvred the remote control and dials to work the radio and multiple shower spray options. Loved the eucalyptus bar of soap and the shampoo alot! (Brought my own just in case but didnt need mine yay). Breakfast was reviewed just at check-in for timing and any allergies and each breakfast (sat and sun) far exceeded expectation. Coffee was great but the company and local interaction was the best. Barb and her husband were perfect hosts. I would be honored to come again sometime.
