I had Cornelius Electric replace my out dated electrical panel in order for me to accommodate a portable generator. Electricians Briar and Zachary took to task replacing the panel. Briar was an extremely pleasant young man and exceptionally knowledgeable. Both he and Zachary were professionals and did an outstanding job. This is not to say there were not unforeseen issues. A wrong main breaker was dispatched with the panel assembly and a temporary fix was done to maintain power. Both electricians and Cornelius worked through this to get the correct part and get the job done in a timely manner. In the end, i was very happy with the job and highly recommend this company. Also, they honor veterans and gave a very generous military discount to which i was truly grateful. All interactions with this company were positive. read more

A couple of our lights in kitchen area were randomly going off and on (when powered on), and light over our shower was not functioning (when replacing bulb I would receive an electrical shock). We contacted Cornelius Electrical and scheduled an appointment. Their tech (Jordan) not only arrived promptly, he was early. Very professional and courteous. He methodically investigated the issues and resolved our problems very quickly, taking care not create a lot of debris issues over our counters. A couple of adjustments to the light fixtures and a replacement of a cracked switch seems to have resolved the kitchen light issue. Upon investigating the light over the shower, he discovered that the contractor who originally wired the home had reversed the wiring which caused the bulb to burn out and was also contacting the metal housing of the fixture leading to the unit being electrically charged. Jordan rewired the unit properly and insulated the connections. After tending to these issues, Jordan took the time to educate me about the light fixtures (Can lights/Pot lights) as having thermal overload circuits built into the units that may also cause the lights to flicker on and off. This may require replacement of the whole unit should the issue continue. I am totally pleased with the service I received and the friendly customer service Jordan provided. Electricians arrived on time, were courteous, and cleaned up after themselves. Installed wire molding to a new fan. At $136/hr., it turned into a pricey job taking six hours. There's no way to tell if the men are working when both are outside at the van. Had to return twice to remove a faulty remote receiver unit, not their fault. My main problem is that after nearly two weeks, I still don't have my bill. Don't know if I would use again. It depends. They were knowledgeable and got the job done. read more
