And as I coasted through town straining to find some fuel, I started to sweat. not from the heat of the day, but from the fact that my remaining mileage gauge in my dashboard was just flashing dashes. Enter Forest Grove Chevron. While not particularly convenient to the highway on which I was traveling, it has easy in/out access from the main drag in FG, and gauging from the pileup of cars there, it's likely an oasis in the midst of a veritable oil desert. The service here was decently prompt and friendly, but most important they had gas. For my car. Something that the inaccurately-named Gaston did not. There is a mart here if you need sundries and provisions, but I have to say I didn't pay much attention as instead I sat in my car thanking the fuel-station fates for getting me here as I was running on fumes. _______ *Empty

The only thing they didn't do that the big guys do is check the lights and tire pressures. They were quick and efficient and definitely friendly. As quick as they went, I could see a small spill that I need to clean up, but overall satisfied with the job and happy to save a few dollars. Also close by which is nice too.

Maybe you have to go inside if paying with a debit card, but not with a credit card which is how I always pay for gas. They take the credit card right at the pump. Easy access in and out and back to highway 26.

I remembered that there was a gas station nearby that was inexpensive. After the play was finished I figured I would just head to the local Fred Meyer, since I needed some things from the store and usually their gas prices are pretty reasonably low, sometimes the lowest. I came across the Space Age which is the cheap gas station I was remembering. The gas was ten cents cheaper at the Space Age versus the Fred Meyer but I paid the price since the gas pumps scream commercials at you while you pump. That seemed very ridiculous and over the top, especially at 10pm.

Service was slow but that's because drivers are smart and saw the price difference so there were lots of cars. Attendant did his best to get to everyone quickly and was friendly and pleasant. I've compared the Chevrons around town and I must say that this place is a couple cents or more cheaper than the ones by the freeway. The gas attendees are friendly and helpful. They even clean your window if its dirty! (Even if it is raining outside!!) Yelp indicated that this place had a Car wash, but I fixed that because it doesn't have one. But they do have air and water if you are in need of that. Overall, I am always here to fill up my car when it's riding low on fuel! Go Techron!
