The presentation of the food and atmosphere made me go back to college in 1999. Everyone seemed to love their job. When the kitchen got busy Emily jumped in to help and was apologetic for making us wait. Wait for what?! We were happily catching up with each other. She for saw the whole thing. I later learned she isn't a manager although I felt that. She wasn't flustered or bothered one bit. I heard Luther's name throughout our visit and he simply walked up and helped every single one of his employees. She knows a lot and is super helpful, she made a point to walk through the restaurant at opening to say hello to every single person. This IS my new calm place! Hats off!! Nearly 30-minute wait, then seated at a dirty table that hadn't been cleared from the previous guests. Mid-way through taking our drink order, our server just... walked away. Never came back to finish. Apps came out before drinks. When my kid's Sprite arrived it was carbonated water -- when we flagged a manager, we were told they were out of Sprite. Would've been nice to know that upfront. The water I ordered never came at all. Meals were room temperature. Server never checked back in -- we had to track her down just to pay and leave. Meanwhile I watched a manager in a black polo leaning against the wall while the carpeted floors were visibly dirty. There's a saying about leaning and cleaning for a reason. Four stars on Yelp is genuinely baffling based on this experience. Two stars is generous. Won't be back, and wouldn't send anyone else here either.
