Snap Fitness increased my monthly rate 35% last fall with no reason given and no way to dispute. In January, with a change in my insurance, I asked to enroll in the Silver Sneakers program and was told that there were no spots available?? Finally, I received an email notification that the location was closing, with no date given. I emailed the member services email and asked them not to charge my credit card for May since the site is closing and I have to find another location. They emailed back that their polices for cancellation required a 30 day notice when they notified me that they were the ones that notified about the closure.. I emailed several times asking them NOT to charge my card but, of course, today I was charged! Snap Fitness is NOT worth the money they charge monthly and their policies are very unreasonable!! DON'T GET SUCKERED IN!!

Then second appt was only one for that week. Need to be seen regularly for any benefits. Then they were trying to bill me my copay twice. Healthworks, Corning, NY Earlier this year I was having a…read moreproblem with my blood sugar being out of control. I made an appointment with Guthrie Endocrinology where I was told I couldn't get into an endocrinologist for 9 months and advised I get counseling in the interim. I was referred to Healthworks. I sat down with a consular who gave me some tips on how to lose weight and change my diet. The initial session was 1 hour long with the latter 15 minutes showing me recipes etc. The subsequent 2nd visit was going over everything I did wrong since I lost a whole 1/2 lb. This time running out of things to talk about, so just showing me websites. I realized I wasn't getting the help I needed and went to Southern PA for a more knowledgeable person, which I then lost 33 lbs. I then cancelled the rest of the visits. The problem is I was charged over $1200 for these 2 visits, which showed up in my eguthrie account. My insurer (BCBS) flagged these 2 visits and did not pay most of this, leaving me with the charges. Initial visit was $673.00 and second was $550.00. I am contending these visits are simply not worth this and excessively charged, and why did I need an hour for the visit? So look out, my insurer paid about ¼ of these charges. Lastly, the billing was done in an obscure way, listing this as therapy for an entirely different doctor. Never mentioning Healthworks nor counseling, nor the name of this counselor, opting to call it therapy with an endocrinologist.

But here I am, Ms. Ruthy coming in 7 days a week, not to brag , but sometimes I'm working out even twice a day!! Cuz I love it that much. Look I only have good things to say about FLX Fitclub. The instructors are so friendly, enthusiastic and very helpful. Everyone I have met in the classes have been so kind and welcoming. The gym itself is always really clean, organized and everything is wiped down after it has been used. So far I haven't taken a class that I didn't like. I feel like there are a lot of different options, depending on what your looking for. I really enjoy their cycling classes. Body pump is a must. I've felt comfortable enough to try things that I have never tried before like Barre, it was definitely harder then it looks. Then Sh'Bam was something I'd never thought I'd like and It is SO much fun. The class goes by so quickly. I love the Bodyflow and core classes on Fridays. It's a Great workout to do back to back, You feel very zen and sweaty. I have yet to try BodyCombat, BodyAttack and Grit. Not gonna lie, I'm a little nervous, but I'll report back and let you know what I think. Look...if you're looking for a clean gym with an array of great classes, amazing instructors and a fun crew of people to work out with. FLX is for you.
