A fun cafe in new town that served delicious ice cream and waffles. When you enter, the staff will have to seat you then you go back up to the counter to order. It can get a bit crowded at the entrance when people are waiting to be seated so it's better to go when they are not too busy My pistachio ice cream was super yummy!

The smell inside is fantastic! Staff is friendly, and the ambiance is mellow. A great place to grab a warm beverage on a wet windy day in Edinburgh.

Great place to have sinful desserts. We had the bubble waffle with a lot of great toppings. Will give u a sugar rush for sure.

Chocolate brownie with chocolate ganache, dark chocolate, shavings, and fresh whipped cream with a pot of milk chocolate.

Ambience is warm and inviting. Staff was very friendly. The gooey Chocolate brownie smothered dark chocolate ganache absolutely melted in my mouth. Chocolate heaven.

Ah yes, the sweet reward when promised behaviors are delivered after verbal contracts between parent and child... lol. We told the kiddo we'd get a treat if he just waited patiently while perusing through the streets of Old Edinburgh. I found Coro Chocolate was nearby after we were done sightseeing and we decided to pop-in despite not having reservations (the host asked everyone if they had reservations). The cafe was bustling with patrons, but thankfully we were seated right away and it seems that tables are turned quickly. The menu is surprisingly large which makes decision making quite arduous, but worth it! You'll find fondues, crepes, pancakes, waffles, cakes, ice creams, shakes, coffee, combos, and more. You're basically in dessert heaven! I ordered the Lotus Biscuit Crepe and our little one went with the Fruit Fondue for one which came with a selection of fresh strawberries, bananas, raspberries, clementine, and marshmallows, with a dipping cup of melted chocolate (your choice of milk, dark, or white). Both came out quickly and looked like works of art! What the heck. They were almost too pretty to eat, almost. Our son loved dipping the fruits in the chocolate and devoured the whole thing. I also really enjoyed my lotus biscuit crepe as the biscuit gave it a nice texture and the chocolate they used was delish as well. It was not overly sweet and paired with the ice cream beautifully. So good! Overall, we really enjoyed our visit and would go back if ever we're in Edinburgh again. Highly recommend this spot if you're hankering for something sweet.

Cookie was really good. Whipped cream was ok and ice cream was too buttery. Cute place and everyone was nice.

Very delicious, although a little too much sugar for my taste. If you are a Nutella lover then this is the place for you. We have the peanut butter crepe and the fruit waffle, quite delicious. It's definitely worth the try. Also it was very convenient for the time of day we went (around 2030).

The service speed was crazy, very quick and efficient. Friendly and down to Earth the staff were. We got sat and given the right amount of time to settle and choose what we wanted before we were approached. Important point. Anyway we got Pancakes and Ice-cream/bananas, it was soooo bloody good. I'm gonna have diabetes but by God it was amazing. Sugar rush I think yes! Quickly brought to us with hot pancakes and Cold milkshake. Everything looked amazing and tasted fantastic. Presentation great. Only point that I'd make that I think isn't nessesery or I don't want to affect your judgement going here is there can sometimes be a couple right beside you who need to know their boundaries of PDA (public display of affection) amazing please visit alone or with friends you'll have a blast!

Just craving chocolate crepe, while this fit the bill I agree with others that it could be better. I ordered dark chocolate with fresh raspberries, which was a good amount of. It's just crepe was chewy and dry. Winter red tea was very nice with it though. Would not go back though... would try elsewhere...

Absolutely delicious and delightful, great environment, lovely staff, incredibly yummy latte and treats, two thumbs way way up.

The Mushroom Toast was very tasty according to my wife. The place is small and part of the larger establishment next door but still the same great food. The server is very friendly and I ordered full Scottish breakfast to try out everything and chai latte. It came fairly fast and it was a very full dish. I tried all the food and they are all yummy. The blood pudding is not quite my favorite. And the bean with the red sauce is a little too spicy for me. But overall it is very good. Chai latte is super yummy and not overly sweet!

Slotted in on Rose Street, at the back of the huge and imposing columned Dome buiding, this gorgeous little city-centre oasis is the perfect place to rest your shopping-weary feet and have a tasty lunch. It's only open from april to early september, and although it's tucked down a narrow street this place is a great little suntrap. You can get wraps, salads, soups, burgers, that sort of thing here - not a full á la carte lunch, but the portions are fairly generous so you'll only need one course. The service was ok, but our waiter didn't even bother to bring us our change back. We had been planning to leave it as a tip for him, but we thought it was a bit cheeky of him just to assume, especially when service is already included in the prices. For a salad and a soft drink you'll spend just over £10 a head, which makes it slightly pricier than a lot of other lunchtime cafés nearby, but this setting is just so gorgeous I'd happily pay the difference.

I adored the lime, poppyseed, and blueberry roulade! It was gone before the soup and toastie sandwich arrived. Crispy on the outside and so very soft and tasty on the inside. The cookie pie was impressive, but I honestly liked the roulade so much better. The soup today was broccoli and it was delicious! I had a ham and cheese sandwich lightly grilled in a panini press. Mom had a chorizo sandwich. The ladies at the bakery were lovely! Friendly happy folk always make food taste better! The bakery was quiet and not busy at 12:30 pm. It wasn't empty, just not busy. But, we were determined to get all those stamps (and the satisfaction of having accomplished something that was specific to Edinburgh), so this was the first of two coffee shops visited in the space of an hour. Crazy? Yes, indeed. I really liked the feel of this shop. It's open, clean and bright. It's about on par, size-wise, as some of the other shops we visited, but it wasn't as busy. There were two guys working the counter when we arrived, and they had several tables open, which we took advantage of. We ordered our drinks and sat down to wait. They came out quickly, and they were delicious. The guy who brought our coffee to the table was very friendly, checking to make sure that we were set, that we had everything we needed, and that we knew they had fresh-baked pastries at the counter. I was interested in the pastries but knew that we had one more coffee shop to visit before really starting our day, so I had to abstain. The coffee was delicious - well brewed and served piping hot. I could see making this place into a normal haunt, if we were in the area more often.
