Our set up and rehearsal felt uncomfortable after being spoken to sharply, including being reprimanded for leaning on a table. When I politely asked if we could add one additional table (at a cost, if at all possible)), I was also met with a raised voice. It was a simple question. I wasn't demanding or accusatory, but he became extremely defensive. Throughout setup, it felt as though we were being closely monitored rather than supported. To be fair, the venue honored every part of our agreement, and I appreciate that. However, hospitality is about more than fulfilling a contract. On such an important day, I hoped for a little flexibility, warmth, and kindness. Because of that experience, I personally would have a hard time recommending the venue, despite the beautiful facility and wonderful staff.
